Assam CEE 2018

The exam is composed of three sections i.e., Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry and the questions asked in the exam are of Higher Secondary Education level (10+2). A Merit-List is prepared based on the order of merit i.e, if you manage to score higher marks, you shall be ranked higher and seat shall be allotted to you in one of the engineering colleges under Assam Science & Technology University. Assam CEE 2018 Eligibility

To be eligible for Admission to any of the Colleges a candidate must fulfill the following conditions:

  • The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam.
  • For admission into B.E./B.Tech Courses the candidate must pass the Qualifying Examination individually in the same sitting without any grace marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in case of SC and 40 % in case of ST) marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The same sitting means a candidate must appear all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English together.
  • The Candidate must appear in the Entrance Examination for admission (CEE – 2018).
  • The Candidate must not above 21 years or below 17 years of age. Upper age limit is relaxed to 22 years in case of B.Sc. passed Candidates. Upper age limit is relaxed by 3 years for Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe candidates.
  • The Candidate must possess a good moral character.
  • The Candidate must be physically and mentally fit.

Assam CEE 2018 Application Form

You must be ready with the following documents before applying

  • Valid Email-ID and Mobile Number
  • Soft copy of the recent Passport Size Photograph
  • Soft copy of the Signature

You are required to register on the official website following which an application number will be sent to you through which you can log in to fill the application form. Enter the personal, educational and basic details in the appropriate fields and also upload the scanned documents as per the specifications. After that make the payment to conclude the application process.

Application Fee: Rs.600/-

An Application Fee of Rs. 600/- (Six hundred only) is to be paid online using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking. Payment may also be made at any Branch of State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form from “State Bank Collect” in the final step of online application. Assam Science and Technology University shall not accept a hard copy of the Application and any other documents. Examination fee once paid, is not refundable

Assam CEE 2018 Admit Card

Admit cards will be released online by Assam Science & Technology University on the official website and can be generated by entering the Application number and Date of Birth. You are required to take the printout of hall-ticket/ admit-card as it will be required at the examination center for entry.

The admit card will contain your name, photograph, signature, roll-number, exam-schedule and venue address.

Assam CEE 2018 Exam Pattern

The paper will be composed of three sections namely Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with 40 questions in each of the section.

Candidates will be provided 3 hours to finish the exam.

Each correct answer would fetch you 4 marks and 1 mark would be deducted for each incorrect answer.

Medium of Entrance Test: The question paper contains questions in “English” and “Assamese” medium

Syllabus: The standard of the exam will be that of NCERT syllabus adopted by AHSEC, Assam.

Assam CEE 2018 Syllabus

The syllabus of Assam CEE is the same as JEE Main, i.e. CBSE NCERT Syllabus. Hence, the candidates are advised to thoroughly go through the class 11th and 12th class books for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

The candidates can also prepare for NCERT solved paper, previous year question papers, sample papers, or mock test series.

Assam CEE 2018 Result

A Merit list will be published by Assam Science & Technology University, Assam based on which candidates are going to be shortlisted for the admission. The higher you score, the better will be your rank. During the counseling process, the seat will be allotted to aspirants with higher ranks.

In case of Tie-breaker: There might arise a situation in which two or more than two candidates secure the same score in CEE-2018, then, the PCM aggregate of Class XII shall be considered for shortlisting them. If there still persists a tie, then, overall aggregate in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English will be helpful for selection of candidates. With the further subsequent tie, the Chairman of Selection Committee shall select the candidates on different terms.

The result will contain a merit-list based on which shortlisting shall be done i.e. if your score is high, then, you may rank higher in the list to storm into the counseling round where seat-allotment to different colleges will take place. Counselling round takes place after the declaration of result in which seat-allotment is done to shortlist the aspirants based on order of merit i.e., higher the score, better will be the rank secured.
