For online admission to “Two Year Diploma Course in D.EI.Ed (Govt DIET and self financing pvt Institutes) and DPSE course (for females only), candidates are advised to check the details below or from the official website for the session 2017-19. Application Form

For the convenience of the applicants as well as their parents/guardians the SCERT has introduced the facility of online submission of Application Form for D.EL.Ed (Govt, Pvt) & DPSE course in Institutes. The application form along with the prescribed application fee can be submitted online or through designated facilitation centers. Candidate may apply online for said courses admission through the direct link, which is given below. To begin the application process you need to register by providing a valid email address along with a password (create your own suitable password).

Final acceptance / rejection of applications of the candidates

Application Fee : Candidate can submit the application form along with prescribed application fee of Rs.250/- only per application through on-line only by their own facility/system or Rs.300/- only per application using the following 10 facilitation centres located at 09 DIETs and 01 at SCERT (HQ)

While applying for D.El.Ed & ECCE course, student must ensure that they should have the following documents in original at the time of admission.

  • Class 10th & 12th mark sheets.
  • Date of Birth Certificate.
  • In case of reserved category all relevant certificate issued from competent authority.

Procedure for submission of online application 

  1. Once the duly filled in application form is received through on-line along with the required fee. The candidate will be able to see the status of their application on website on the date mentioned in the schedule.
  2. The candidates can view the filled-up application form. If any correction/updation is required, the same may be done through online internet link of the website only by following necessary instructions as required for the purpose. The correction in data can be done by a candidate as per schedule given in the prospectus.
  3. The candidate is required to verify the details of application form submitted by him/her through On-line as per the schedule given in the prospectus through internet link of the website failing which, it will be presumed that data submitted by the candidate previously, as final. No further request for correction in the data will be entertained from the candidate after the last date notified in the prospectus.
  4. The complete list of eligible applicants for D.EI.Ed./ DPSE course will be displayed in the order of merit list on the official website as per the schedule.

How to Apply

  • Candidates are required to apply Online through above link or official website and using services of facilitation center as per instructions given in the website. No other means/mode of application will be accepted.
  • Candidate are required to have a valid personal e-mail ID for registration and mobile number for sending SMS for direct access to the candidates. It should be kept active and checked regularly till the completion of admission process.
  • Mandatory : In case a candidate does not have a valid personal email ID, he/she shall need to create valid e-mail ID before applying on-line.
  • At facilitation centre payment of application fee i.e. Rs.300/- can be made through Bank Challan/ Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking of applicant (No cash will be accepted at facilitation centre).

Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates seeking admission to DIET Institute in various courses must have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) of CBSE, or its equivalent examination from any other recognized Board/University. The minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examination required for admission in various courses is 50% in aggregate. For calculating percentage of marks of 10+2 examination conducted by CBSE, best 5 subjects including at least one language will be considered.
  • For other boards/universities, aggregate of marks in best 5 subjects including at least one language (i.e, four subiects + one language) in which she is required to pass for qualifying in Sr. Sec. Examination (10+2) or its equivalent as per rules laid down by the concerned board/university will be considered for calculating percentage of marks (out of total maximum marks at 500).
  • For calculating percentage of marks of Secondary Examination (10th) CGPA awarded by the CBSE board (qualifying subjects including at least one language) for qualifying in Secondary Examination (10th ) will be considered for calculating percentage of marks. For other equivalent boards number of subjects (including at least one language) in which she is required to pass, for qualifying in Secondary Examination (10th) as per rules laid down by the concerned board will be considered for calculating percentage of marks (out of total maximum marks).
  • For calculating percentage of marks of Secondary Examination (10th class) appropriate prescribed CGPA/GPA conversion formula must be applied. For example for conversion of CGPA of 10th class of CBSE will be multiplied by the CGPA (i. e. CGPA x 9.5). The candidate has to mentioned the conversion formula of the board mentioned in the mark sheet.
  • Five percent relaxation of marks in the qualifying examination is allowed for candidates  belonging and applying under the categories of Scheduled Caste, OR Scheduled Tribe OR Person with Disability (PwD) only. Therefore, the candidates belonging to above
    mentioned three categories and having 45% marks in qualifying (10+2) exam are also eligible to apply.

Age Limit : The maximum age should not be more than 24 years as on 30 September 2017.

Selection Procedure

  • All the eligible candidates applying for this course will be considered first under General Merit irrespective of the category applied in. In case reserved category candidates do not stand in general merit. They will be considered in order of merit in the particular reserved category they have applied for. It is further clarified that the candidates of any category given admission in general merit shall not be counted in the reserved category.
  • Admission to the various course will be done on the basis of merit in qualifying examination i.e. 10+2 or its equivalent exam (Sr. Secondary examination). Only those candidates who fulfill eligibility conditions at the time of submission of form will be considered eligible for admission in order of merit. For calculating percentage of marks of 10+2 examination conducted by CBSE, best 5 subjects including at least one language will be considered. [n case of boards other than CBSE, the percentage of marks shall be calculated as per passing criteria laid down by concerned board, keeping in View Eligibility Conditions.
  • In case of tie in percentage of marks in 10+2 examination, the percentage of marks of class X examination up to two places of decimal shall be considered to break the tie. However in case of tie in class-X percentage of marks also, the older candidate in age (determined by Date of Birth), will be given preference. However if further the tie remains at the level of age also, then draw of lots shall be adopted in the presence of Admission Committee and the concerned candidates.
  • A candidate not fulfilling eligibility conditions laid down in prospectus, will not be considered for admission to any courses irrespective of his/her higher merit. No representation will be entertained in this regard.
