SCERT oversees functioning of nine DIETs of Delhi, which also conducts D.El.Ed. being conducted at 9 Govt DIETs and 27 Recognized SFS Institutes, and 27 Recognized SFS Institutes for DPSE. After the verification process, the seat allotment list of the candidates for D.El.Ed and DPSE are released by the SCERT. In the allotment, list candidates can check their Registration number, allotment institution, and status. The allotted list is released on the official website as per schedule. After the declaration of result, candidates will have to personally report at the allotted center along with original documents and the admission fee. If a candidate fails to appear for the admission process, then he/she will not be granted admission into the course.

DIET Delhi Admission 2020 Application Form
Candidates have to apply for DIET Delhi admission 2020 through the official website of SCERT, Delhi. You must have a valid email id and mobile number as the conducting body send an update regarding the admission through SMS or email only. While filling in educational details in the application form, candidates are required to ensure that for calculating the percentage of marks of Secondary Examination is done as per the formula. Details in the DIET Delhi application form must be the same as the one provided in the Class 10th certificate. Furthermore, in the application form, you are required to fill a code number where you wish to take admission in order of preference.
Application Fee – Candidates have to pay the non-refundable application fee through online mode. The application fee is:

Mode of Payment – Payment of application fee must be paid through mentioned below ways:

- Net Banking
Note – No offline application and fee through demand draft/ cheques/ Money Orders/ Postal Orders etc. will be accepted & the same done/submitted will not be refunded.
Documents required at the time of form submission:
- Class 10th & 12th mark sheets.
- Date of Birth Certificate.
- In case of the reserved category all relevant certificates issued from authority.
DIET Delhi Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria, as laid by the SCERT authorities. Check the criteria for both the courses from below:
Age Limit – Candidates should not be older than 24 years, whereas, there is a relaxation of 05 years for SC / ST / PwD candidates.
Physical fitness – Candidates must be in good health and should be free from any defect/communicable disease. Aspirants have to submit a medical certificate from a registered MBBS or equivalent recognized degree doctor to prove the same.
Educational Qualification –
- Candidates seeking admission to DPSE / D.El.Ed. course must have passed Senior School Certificate Examination (10+2) of CBSE or its equivalent examination from any other recognized Board/University.
- They must have obtained 50% marks in 10+2 or its equivalent exam (45% in case of SC / ST / PwD).
- For calculating the marks obtained in 10+2 exam conducted by CBSE, best 5 subjects including at least one language will be considered.
- Likewise, for other boards/universities, aggregate of marks in best 5 subjects including at least one language in which she is required to pass for qualifying in Sr. Sec. Examination (10+2) or its equivalent.
Formula for converting CGPA to marks – For conversion of CGPA of 10th class of CBSE will be multiplied by the CGPA (i.e. CGPA X 9.5).
DIET Delhi 2020 Admission Merit List
SCERT, Delhi, releases a general merit list which consists of details of all the eligible candidates. The merit list is prepared based on marks obtained in the qualifying examination (10+2).
Tie-breaker criteria
In the case of two or more candidates have equal marks in 10+2 exam, their merit is decided by applying the following rules:
- Class 10th marks are considered to break the tie.
- If there is still a tie, then, the tie is resolved by considering the date of birth. This means that a candidate older in age is considered in the merit.
- If the tie is still not resolved by any of the above rules, then draw of lots shall be adopted during preparation of merit.
DIET Delhi 2020 Document Verification Process
Candidates whose name is included in the merit are eligible to report for the mandatory verification process. It is mandatory for the eligible candidates to report physically at the center for document verification. In case, due to some reason, a candidate is unable to report for the verification process, then the guardian/ representative of the candidate shall report to the Principal of DIET along with a written request by the verified candidate and countersigned by parent/guardian and with all original documents and proof of hospitalization or death, etc. Candidates who successfully verifies their document are issued a verification letter and are then considered for the final rank.
Which documents are required for DIET Delhi Mandatory verification process?
The selection of candidates will remain provisional until the candidates submit the original documents at the time of admission. List of documents to be submitted in original are as follows:
- Original certificate of Secondary School Examination (Class X) or its equivalent examination.
- Mark sheets of Sr. Secondary School and Secondary School Examination or its equivalent examinations.
- Certificate of reserved category/sub-category, if applicable from a Competent Authority.
- A candidate seeking admission from NIOS or any other distance mode must furnish certificate specifying that candidate has attended / studied / passed Sr. Secondary from the concerned study center along with other documents.
- Medical fitness certificate from a registered MBBS / BAMS doctor.
What happens if a candidate does not bring the aforesaid documents?
In case, if a candidate does not produce the above-mentioned documents then they are issued a deficiency letter. Such candidates will have to remove this deficiency online st DIET Delhi website. As per last year’s information, candidates may have to pay a fee of Rs. 100 remove the deficiency. In this process, candidates can edit / delete / add in the details or any other information in application form. After online editing is done, it is advised that you should re-verify documents ant any of the 09 Govt. DIETS and take the verification letter.
What After DIET Delhi Seat Allotment Result is Declared?
After the seat allotment result is declared, candidates who are satisfied the DIET / Institute allotted to them need to download and take a print out of the provisional allotment letter after payment of Rs.1800/- through online mode (as Part Admission Fee not refundable, but adjustable with the 2nd quarter course fee). At the allotted DIET / Institute, candidates need to bring along all original documents, verification slip, part admission fee receipt, provisional allotment letter, and self-certified 2 sets of photocopy of all verified documents, submitted during the verification process. After this, for the eligible candidates, a provisional admission offer letter is generated at the allotted DIET / Institute.
What is meant by Freezing of allotted seat by candidates?
After the seat allotment process, a candidate is satisfied with the allocation, and do not want to participate for further allocation in subsequent allocation list/round, then they can choose the option of ‘Freeze’. To free the seat, candidates need to log in to their account before the declaration of the next allocation list of next round.
DIET Delhi Admission 2020 Withdrawal and Fee refund
In case after paying the admission fee, a candidate wants to withdraw the admission against the allotted seat, then they can apply for withdrawal through online mode. It is to be noted that after the withdrawal of admission is done, the candidates are not considered for any further subsequent admission process.
