Is there a separate entrance exam for Kerala PG Medical 2026?
No. Kerala holds no state PG medical exam. CEE Kerala prepares a state rank list from NEET PG 2026 ranks and fills seats through online counselling, called the Centralized Allotment Process (CAP).

In the previous academic year Kerala had 964 PG degree seats in Government medical colleges, 14 at RCC Thiruvananthapuram, 2 at MCC Kannur and 731 in self-financing colleges. The 2026-27 seat distribution will be notified later.
Kerala PG Medical 2026 Important Dates
Online applications ran from 12 to 24 October 2026 (extended, till 11 AM). CEE published the provisional merit list on 26 October and the final merit and category list on 29 October 2026. Phase 1 option registration is open till 31 October 2026 (10 AM); allotment and joining dates will be notified later.

How to Apply for Kerala PG Medical 2026
You apply online on the CEE Kerala PG Medical 2026 portal by 24 October 2026, 11 AM (extended). All five steps are mandatory, and you cannot add details or certificates for any claim after the last date.
Apply Online for Kerala PG Medical 2026
The Kerala PG Medical 2026 application window (12 to 24 October 2026) has closed.
- Open the PG Medical 2026 online application on cee.kerala.gov.in and register with your NEET PG 2026 details and date of birth (same as in your NEET PG registration).
- Enter your mobile number and create a password. Note the Application Number shown on screen; you need it with your password for every later step, including option registration.
- Fill in the application and click Save and Finalize. No change is allowed after this.
- Pay the application fee online by net banking, credit card or debit card. The payment tab turns green when it succeeds.
- Upload your signature and the certificates for every claim (nativity, community or non-creamy layer, PwD, service and others) as PDF files.
- Print the application acknowledgement page and keep it. Do not send it or any document to the CEE office.

The fee is not refundable. In-service candidates must also send the printed acknowledgement page with documents and service details to their Head of Department by 5 PM on 16 October 2026.
To return to your application, use the candidate login page with your Application Number and password. The portal has “Forgot Application Number” and “Forgot Password” options if you lose either.
Who can apply for Kerala NEET PG counselling 2026?
You can apply if you hold an MBBS recognised by NMC, have qualified NEET PG 2026 and meet one of the nativity conditions in the 2026-27 prospectus.
- Academic: MBBS degree or provisional pass certificate, with permanent or provisional NMC or State Medical Council registration, and one year of internship completed by the cut-off date in the prospectus. Kerala State Medical Council registration is needed before admission.
- Nativity: Indian citizen of Kerala origin; or OCI cardholder (eligible for general and NRI seats only, no reservation); or a child of non-Keralite parents who did MBBS in a Kerala medical college (no reservation benefits).
- In-service doctors can apply under service quota whatever their native state, as per a Kerala High Court order.
- Age: no upper limit, except 49 years for Medical Education service quota and 47 years for Health and Insurance Medical service quota (as on 31 December of the notification year).
What NEET PG 2026 percentile do you need for Kerala PG Medical?
You need at least the 50th percentile in NEET PG 2026 if you are General or EWS; lower thresholds apply to reserved and PwD categories (2026, official prospectus).

These are eligibility thresholds, not closing ranks. Your actual chance of a seat depends on your state rank, category and the options you register.
How are Kerala PG medical seats reserved?
Out of the state quota seats, 10% go to service quota candidates. The rest are split by category as below, and whatever remains is the General Merit quota.

- 5% of seats are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities, as sub-categories of each main category.
- One seat each goes to an ex-service candidate and to a dependant of a jawan killed in action.
- SEBC reservation (EZ, BH, MU, LA, BX, KU) is only for candidates outside the creamy layer, so upload a valid non-creamy layer certificate.
How does the Kerala PG Medical 2026 allotment work?
CEE Kerala publishes a rank list and category list, then allots seats online in three phases and a stray vacancy round, strictly by your rank and the order of your options.
- Phase 1: register fresh options for courses and colleges in your home page. A security deposit of Rs 10,000 (Rs 5,000 for SC/ST/OEC and other fee-concession candidates) is paid at option registration.
- Join the allotted college and pay the fees within the time given, or you lose the allotment and all your options.
- Phase 2: no fresh options. Confirm, delete or reorder your remaining higher options to be considered for an upgrade. Option confirmation is compulsory to take part.
- Phase 3: fresh option registration with a registration fee equal to the annual tuition fee of the seat (Government seats only) or Rs 1,00,000 if you also opt for self-financing seats; half for fee-concession candidates. A Phase 3 allottee cannot join any further state or MCC counselling.
- Stray vacancy round: fresh options for seats still vacant. Leaving a seat after the stray vacancy allotment attracts liquidated damages of Rs 50 lakh.
Register only options you are sure to join. If you get an option you registered, you must accept it.
What documents do you need when joining the allotted college?
You must show the originals of all uploaded documents at admission, along with these:
- NEET PG 2026 admit card issued by NBEMS
- Allotment memo from CEE Kerala
- Proof of date of birth
- MBBS degree or pass certificate and CRRI (internship) certificate
- Permanent registration certificate of the Kerala State Medical Council (or the erstwhile TC Medical Council)
- Eligibility or equivalency certificate from KUHS, if your MBBS is from a university outside Kerala
- Required bonds signed by you and your sureties, and the original transfer certificate
- Relieving order from your last institution, for service candidates
What are the fees and bond rules for Kerala PG medical seats?
Government medical college fees for PG degree courses are fixed by G.O.(Ms) No.92/2023/H&FWD. Self-financing college fees are issued separately before allotment.

SC/ST candidates, and OEC candidates on merit or reserved seats, are exempt from fees in Government seats; this does not apply to minority or NRI quota seats.
At joining you sign two bonds on Kerala stamp paper worth Rs 200: not to discontinue the course, and (for all General merit candidates, including AIQ candidates) to serve Kerala Medical Education Services as a senior resident for at least one year right after the course.
