Is This The Official NEET PG 2025 Question Paper?
NEET PG 2025 Question Paper given here is a memory based paper. That is because NBEMS has never released the text of a NEET PG question paper. So every version on the internet, here or anywhere else, is a recall paper rebuilt from what candidates remembered after they walked out.
However 2025 did change one thing. On a Supreme Court order, NBEMS released each candidate’s response sheet and an answer key on 29 August 2025, alongside the scorecard. But that key carried question IDs only, not the questions themselves. So a candidate could see which answers were marked wrong, and still not see what had been asked. Therefore a recall paper remains the only way to read the paper itself.
Use it for what it is actually good at.
- It is reliable for pattern and topics. Because thousands of candidates recall the same questions, the subject mix and the framing style come through accurately.
- It is not reliable question by question. So a few options may be worded differently, and the order will not match what you saw on screen.
- Read your score as a signal, not a rank. However a low score on a recall paper still points at a real gap in your revision.
NEET PG 2025 Question Paper Pattern
NEET PG 2025 Question Paper had 200 questions worth 800 marks, and the exam ran in a single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm across 301 cities. Moreover it was locked into five sections, so the structure below shaped the exam as much as the syllabus did.
| Aspect | NEET PG 2025 |
|---|---|
| Total questions | 200 single best answer MCQs |
| Total marks | 800 |
| Duration | 3 hours 30 minutes |
| Sections | 5 – A, B, C, D and E |
| Questions per section | 40 |
| Time per section | 42 minutes |
| Section locking | Yes, a section could not be reopened once its time ended |
| Marking scheme | +4 correct, −1 wrong, 0 unattempted |
| Medium | English |
| Mode | Computer based test |
- Sections could not be revisited. So a question left blank in section A stayed blank, even if time was spare in section E.
- Normalisation was not applied, because the exam ran in one single shift.
- All three MBBS phases were tested – pre clinical, para clinical and clinical.
NEET PG 2025 Question Paper Subject Wise Weightage
NEET PG 2025 Question Paper drew from all 19 MBBS subjects. However a post exam survey of test takers by DBMCI pointed to a clear high yield tier.
| Tier | Subjects | What candidates reported |
|---|---|---|
| Highest weightage | Obstetrics and Gynaecology | Most questions of any single subject |
| High yield | Medicine, Surgery, Microbiology, Community Medicine | Named consistently across recalls |
| Split opinion | Anatomy, Biochemistry, ENT, Ophthalmology | In both high and low lists |
| Lower than expected | Physiology, Anaesthesia, Dermatology, Orthopaedics, Forensic Medicine, Paediatrics | Fewer questions than aspirants planned for |
Note that this weightage comes from student recall, not from NBEMS. Moreover a separate PrepLadder survey of the same paper ranked the subjects differently, and put Pathology in the top tier. So read this as a trend, and do not drop a subject on the strength of one year’s paper.
NEET PG 2025 Question Paper Difficulty Level
NEET PG 2025 Question Paper was rated moderately tough by most candidates who sat it. So this is what the DBMCI survey of test takers showed.
- 71 per cent called it moderately tough, and 9 per cent difficult. Moreover many found it easier than the 2024 paper.
- Clinical questions dominated, at about 32 per cent, followed by integrated questions at 21 per cent.
- Image based questions fell to roughly 18 per cent, lower than in recent attempts.
- It leaned on previous year questions. Therefore PYQs repeated in concept, even where wording changed.
- Time was tight. 88 per cent finished in the limit, however 76.9 per cent attempted 151 to 200 questions.
- Anatomy, Medicine, Community Medicine and Biochemistry were named the hardest subjects.
How To Solve NEET PG 2025 Question Paper
- Download the PDF from the link above.
- Sit it in one stretch of 3 hours 30 minutes. Moreover split your time into five blocks of 42 minutes, and do not go back to a finished block.
- Score it honestly with +4 and −1. So count a lucky guess as a guess.
- Mark every question you guessed, not only the ones you got wrong. Those are your real weak areas.
- Revise those subjects, then attempt another year’s paper to check whether the gap closed.
