What is in Section I of the Odisha B.Ed test?
Section I is compulsory for both Arts and Science candidates and has 40 one-mark questions, 10 from each area.

What is in the Arts stream Section II?
Arts candidates answer 60 questions from four subjects.
- General English (15): unseen comprehension, word formation, synonyms and antonyms, spelling and punctuation, grammar (parts of speech, tense, voice, direct and indirect speech, transformation of sentences).
- Odia (10): unseen comprehension, Odia dhwani, vocabulary, word formation and syntax, spelling and punctuation, grammar (karaka, bibhakti, samasa).
- History and Political Science (20): rise of British power in India, 19th-century socio-religious movements, the freedom struggle, French Revolution and the two World Wars, the Indian Constitution and Fundamental Rights, Legislative Assembly, Parliament, High Court and Supreme Court.
- Geography and Economics (15): latitude and longitude, physical divisions of India, natural, social and economic resources, conservation of forests and wildlife, basic features of the Indian economy.
What is in the Science stream Section II?
Science candidates answer 20 questions each from three subjects.
- Physical Science (20): atomic structure, atoms and molecules, classification of elements, chemical reactions and equations, motion and laws of motion, work, energy and pressure, electricity and magnetism, heat, light and sound.
- Bio-Science (20): the cell, diversity in plants and animals, natural resources, ecosystems, energy flow and biogeochemical cycles, pollution, and life processes (nutrition, respiration, excretion, reproduction).
- Mathematics (20): number system, ratio and proportion, sets, relations and functions, linear, simultaneous and quadratic equations, polynomials, indices and logarithms, trigonometric ratios, heights and distances, basic and plane geometry.
What is the Odisha B.Ed 2027 exam pattern and marking?
The test has 100 questions for 100 marks, to be answered in 2 hours on an OMR sheet.
