SCERT Odisha release the answer key of B.Ed, M.Ed, D.El.Ed, B.H.Ed, B.P.Ed, M.Phil online in PDF format. First preliminary answer keys or provisional answer keys are released and then final answer key is released. These final answer key are used to prepare merit list. Answer Key 2018 will be available here as per the schedule.

Modalities of Entrance Test

For B.Ed Course

The test shall be conducted in two papers. Both the papers are compulsory. The subjects and distribution of marks in each paper are given in the following table.

Paper I is common and compulsory for all the candidates (both Arts and Science group). It would consist of Language (English), General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude. This Section shall be of 50 marks. There will be 50 questions. Each question carries one (01) mark. All Questions shall be of multiple choice types.

Paper II shall be of 100 marks. There are two sections. The candidates have to select any one section and shall have to answer all the questions of that particular section. Section A is meant for Arts Group. The candidates who select the Arts Group shall have to answer all the questions from General English, Odia, Geography, History and Political Science. The candidates selecting the Science Group in Section B shall have to answer all the questions from Physical Science, Bio-Science and Mathematics. Each question carries one mark. All the questions are of multiple choice types.

For D.El.Ed Course

The whole test is of 02 hours duration carrying 100 marks with two sections.

Section-I carries 40 marks. There shall be 40 questions, each carrying one mark.

Section II carries 60 marks. There shall be 60 questions each carrying one mark.

All the questions shall be of multiple choice type.

Venue of the Test : The Entrance Test shall be conducted in the District Headquarters of all 30 districts and Bhubaneswar, Berhampur and Rourkela. In case more no. of applicants the centers may be extended to sub-divisional headquarters. The allotment of Examination Centres shall be communicated to the candidates through SMS in the mobile number as mentioned by them in the online application form. They are required to download the Admit Card from the Website through their login ID after receipt of the said SMS.

For M.Ed Course

  • Selection for M.Ed. course shall be made through an Entrance Test.
  • The test is common for all the candidates intending to take admission in M.Ed. course
  • It would be of 100 marks with 100 questions on the subjects covered at the level of Bachelor Degree in Education.
  • Each question shall carry one (01) mark and shall be of multiple choice type.
  • The duration of the test is 02 hours.

For B.H.Ed Course

The Entrance Test for the B.H.Ed. Course shall be conducted in two papers. Both the papers are compulsory :

Paper I consists of Language (English), General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude. This Section shall be of 30 marks. There shall be 30 questions, each carrying one (01) mark. All the questions shall be of multiple choice type.

Paper II consists of two method subjects i.e. Hindi and Odia. The total mark shall be 60. There shall be 40 questions for Hindi Subject and 20 question for Odia subject. Each question shall be of multiple choice type carrying one (01) mark.

Duration of the Test : 1½ hours duration (90 Minutes). All the questions will be of multiple choice type with four options.

Negative Marking : The performance of the candidates shall be evaluated both on the basis of correct and incorrect responses. For every incorrect response, 0.25 mark shall be deducted from the marks secured by the candidate for correct responses.

Time and Date of Online Entrance Test will be communicated to the applicants through SMS / E-Mail and will be published in the Website. 

For M.Phil (EDUCATION) Course

  • Selection for M.Phil Course in Education shall be made through Online Entrance Test.
  • The test is common for all the candidates intending to take admission in M.Phil course.
  • There will be 90 questions with 90 marks on the subjects covered at the level of Master’s Degree in Education.
  • Each question shall carry one (01) mark and shall be of multiple choice types.
  • The duration of the test is 1 hour 30 minute (90 minutes).

Negative Marking : The performance of the candidates shall be evaluated both on the basis of correct and incorrect responses. For every incorrect response, 0.25 mark shall be deducted from the marks secured by the candidate for correct responses.

Time and Date of Online Entrance Test : Will be communicated to the applicants through SMS / Mail and will be published in the Website.

For B.P.Ed Course

Subjects of Test :

The test shall be conducted in two papers. Both the papers are compulsory. The subjects and distribution of marks in each paper are given in the following table.

Paper I : It would consist of Language (English), General Awareness, Reasoning and Teaching Aptitude. This Section shall be of 30 marks. There will be 30 questions. Each question carries one (01) mark. All questions shall be of multiple choice type.

Paper II shall be of 60 marks. The candidates shall have to answer all the questions from current affairs on sports and games, physiology and hygiene, common knowledge about the mentioned games. All the questions are of multiple choice types and each question carries one mark.
