UP D.El.Ed 2027 (UP BTC): No Exam, State Rank, Form, Eligibility

UP D.El.Ed 2027, formerly UP BTC, is the merit-based admission to the 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education in DIETs and private institutes of Uttar Pradesh. Pariksha Niyamak Pradhikari (PNP), Prayagraj runs it. There is no entrance exam: your state rank comes from your High School, Intermediate and Graduation percentages. Registration is expected around June 2027.

Is there an entrance exam for UP D.El.Ed 2027?

No. UP D.El.Ed admission has no written test. PNP prepares a state merit rank by adding your High School, Intermediate and Graduation percentages, and seats are then filled through online choice filling.

You fill one application from any one district, and it is valid for D.El.Ed seats in the DIETs and private institutes of every district. Seats are filled on merit without a separate arts or science quota or a men and women split, except that women-only private institutes admit only women.

UP D.El.Ed 2027 Important Dates

PNP has not announced the 2027 schedule, so the dates below are expected months based on the 2026 cycle, when registration opened on 15 June 2026.

How to Apply for UP D.El.Ed 2027

You apply online only, on the UP D.El.Ed registration portal of PNP. Forms sent by post or any other route are not accepted, and the form is complete only after the fee payment is confirmed.

1. Open the U.P. D.El.Ed Registration link on updeled.gov.in when the 2027 registration starts.
2. Register with your basic details and note your registration number.
3. Pay the application fee online through the payment link on the portal (net banking, ATM or debit card, credit card or UPI).
4. Log in again and complete the form with your High School, Intermediate and Graduation marks.
5. Submit the form and take a print-out before the last date.

The fee is not refunded in any case, and bank charges are extra. Fees for 2027 may change when the new notice comes out.

Who can apply for UP D.El.Ed 2027?

You can apply if you are a graduate with at least 50% marks from a UGC-recognised university. These are the 2026 rules; check the 2027 notice when it is out.

• Graduation with at least 50% marks; 5% relaxation for SC, ST, OBC, PwD, dependants of freedom fighters and ex-servicemen.
• High School and Intermediate from UP Board, CBSE, ICSE or another recognised board; one-year and two-year degrees are not accepted.
• Age 18 to 35 years on 1 July of the admission year; upper age relaxed by 5 years for SC, ST and OBC and by 15 years for PwD.
• Marksheets from boards or universities declared fake or unrecognised by UP Board, COBSE or UGC are not valid.
• UP domicile candidates get priority. Candidates from other states are treated as unreserved and considered for vacant seats in the second phase.

How is the UP D.El.Ed 2027 state merit rank prepared?

Your state rank depends only on your marks. PNP adds three percentages, each rounded to two decimal places.

For example, 75% in High School, 70% in Intermediate and 60% in Graduation give a merit score of 205. In 2026 PNP ranked 1,52,202 candidates and released the rank list as PDFs in rank ranges.

How to Check Your UP D.El.Ed 2027 State Rank

You check your rank on the Know Your State Rank page of updeled.gov.in once PNP publishes the ranks. The page opens for 2027 only after the 2027 ranks are out.

1. Open updeled.gov.in and select Know Your State Rank.
2. Select the course (UPDELED with the year).
3. Enter your registration number and date of birth.
4. Type the security pin shown on the screen and submit.
5. Note your state rank; you need it to pay the allotment fee and fill choices.

Keep the print-out of your submitted form, since it carries your registration number. For login problems, the official website lists the PNP helpline: 0532-2466761 and 0532-2466769.

How does UP D.El.Ed 2027 counselling work?

Counselling is fully online and runs in phases after the state ranks are out. Each phase follows the same steps on the portal.

1. Pay the seat allotment fee of Rs 5,000 online; you cannot fill choices without it.
2. Generate an OTP, fill your choice of DIETs and private institutes, and lock your choices.
3. Check the allotment result on the portal on the given date.
4. Pay the Rs 5,000 confirmation fee and print your allotment letter.
5. Report to the allotted institute with your original documents for verification and admission.
6. The institute then reports your admission online; an admission not reported online is not valid.

Both Rs 5,000 fees are non-refundable if you do not join. In 2026 Phase 1 ran by rank bands, Phase 2 added other-state candidates and converted reserved vacancies, and Phase 3 was the final chance for unallotted candidates.
