Delhi Polytechnic / CET Delhi 2016Delhi Common Entrance Test (CET) 2018 will be conducted by Department of Training and Technical Education. It will be held at the state level for the admission of candidates in numerous Diploma courses. The examination will be held in the month of May and the registration for it will begin in March 2018. The 85% seats through the Delhi CET will be filled with the state candidates. Whereas, the remaining 15% will be allocated to the candidate belonging to open category. Delhi CET 2018 Important Dates

All the important dates for Delhi CET 2018 will be soon uploaded in the table below. However, until then, the candidates may check the tentative dates when the events of Delhi CET will be held.

Delhi CET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The criteria for eligibility of each courses in Delhi CET. Also, it will be announced when the brochure will be released. However, until then the candidates may check the last year’s eligibility criteria from the article below:

Test 1 For candidates applying for Diploma Courses in Architectural Assistantship, Art for Drawing Teachers, Automobile Engineering, Cosmetology & Health, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Commercial Art, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Fashion Design, Garment Fabrication Technology, Interior Design, Instrumentation & Control, Library & Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engg. (Maintenance Engg.) , Medical Laboratory Technology, Polymer Technology, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Civil Engg. (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Textile Design and Tool & Die Making, Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (ITES&M). The candidate should have passed 10th class of 10+2 System or Matric or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE. with minimum 35% aggregate in Science, Mathematics & English The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in each of these three.

Note:

  • Candidates passing /qualifying class 10th under the grading system should have obtained minimum pass grade in the compulsory subjects i.e., Science, Mathematics and English.
  • Any other criteria as prescribed by CBSE in new pattern.
Test 2 (A) For candidates applying for Modern Office Practice (English)
(B) For candidates applying for one year certificate courses (Hospitality Operations, Retail Services and Finance Executive) in WCSC.
The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate of best three subjects including English The subject English is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (English) and the candidate should have obtained pass marks in this subject.
Test 3 For candidates applying for Modern Office Practice (Hindi) The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate of best three subjects including Hindi/ Sanskrit. The subject Hindi/Sanskrit is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (Hindi).
Test 4 (A) For candidates applying for Pharmacy
(B) For candidates applying for one year certificate course: Soft ware Testing Assistant in WCSC.
The candidate should have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (Class-XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or any other examination recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate exam of the CBSE with minimum 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in aggregate of Physics, Chemistry & either Biology or Mathematics .The subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and either Mathematics or Biology are compulsory and the candidate should have pass marks in these subjects without considering grace marks.
Note: Eligibility for students passed from NIOS / Distance Education will be as per the decision of Hon’ble Court / Delhi Government.
Test 5 For admission of 10+2 Vocational Engg. Stream pass outs / ITI pass outs against 10% supernumerary seats in analogous disciplines of Architectural Assistantship, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance Engineering), – (Polymer Technology, Production Engineering and Civil Engineering, (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (ITES &M) Tools & Die making. The candidate should have passed analogous 12th Vocational (Engg) stream of CBSE or equivalent from Schools located only in Delhi with minimum 60% marks in aggregate of best five subjects for which marks are reflected in the mark sheet, without considering grace marks in these best five subjects.
Or
Passed 10th class of CBSE or equivalent + 2 years ITI (Engg) from ITI s/ITCs. The ITI s/ ITCs must be from Institutes located only in Delhi and affiliated to DGE&T/BTE, Delhi with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate of all subjects reflected in the mark sheet.

Age Limit

Delhi CET 2018 Application Form

The DCET 2018 application form will be released online and the candidates will have to enter following details in it:

  • Personal
  • Course and Centre
  • Education
  • Communication

Apart from these, the candidates will also have to choose a password. The candidates will also be required to submit the application fee. The amount of fee will be announced soon. However, last year, it was Rs. 400.

Delhi CET 2018 Admit Card

The admit card will only be issued for those candidates, who will properly submit the application form and the fee. The admit card can be downloaded by submitting the Application Number and Password. It is a very important document which to be carried on the exam day. Along with the admit card, the candidates will also have to carry a photo id card on the exam day. Without these documents, the candidates will not be allowed to take CET.

Delhi CET 2018 Exam Pattern

Last yeexam eaxm pattern for Delhi CET is as given below. As soon as the detailed will be announced, we will mention the latest exam pattern on this page.

  • The test paper will contain 150 objective-type questions in all. Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked (1), (2), (3) and (4). Of these, only one correct or more appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet with black ball pen only.
  • In Pharmacy, there will be total 210 questions, out of which the students have to attempt 150 questions by taking 60 questions either from Mathematics or from Biology. They have to indicate their option at the appropriate location in the answer sheet. If both options are attempted, answer sheet will be rejected and the result will be withheld.
  • Each question shall carry four (04) marks. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. One (01) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer
  • Tests will be of two hours and thirty minutes duration and will carry 600 marks.
  • A centre once allotted by the Controller of CET-2018/Principal, IIT Dwarka will not be changed and no request in this regard will be entertained under any circumstances.
  • The medium / language of the question papers for the entrance test will be as under
    • Test 1,4 & 5 : English and Hindi (Bilingual)
    • Test 2 : English
    • Test 3 : Hindi
  • In case of any discrepancy in the bilingual question papers pertaining to Test Nos. 1, 4, & 5 the English version will be considered as the correct version.
  • The tests will be held in Delhi only.

Delhi CET 2018 Result

The result of Delhi CET 2018 will also be announced online, on cetdelhi.nic.in.  The candidates will be able to check it from the login, by submitting the CET Roll Number, Application Number, and the Security Pin. The score, as well as the merit secured by the candidates, will be mentioned on it. The merit will be allocated on the basis on the secured score. Also, it will only be allocated to those candidates who will score more than the below mentioned cutoff.

  • General Category – 10%
  • SC/ST/OBC/PwD – 5%

Delhi CET 2018 Counselling

The candidates who will qualify the examination will be called to for the counselling. The counselling will also be held online and the candidates will have to register for it. After the registration, the candidates will be able to state the choices for the course and the colleges. On the basis of which, the seat allotment result will be announced. Candidates will then have to pay the partial admission fee and get the documents verified. After the successful verification, candidates will be able to lock the seat and at the end of the counselling report at the allocateInstitutete.
