The criteria for eligibility of each course for Delhi CET 2018 is as follows:
|Test 1||For candidates applying for Diploma Courses in Applied Art, Architectural Assistantship, Art for Drawing Teachers, Automobile Engineering, Cosmetology & Health, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Civil Engg. (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Fashion Design, Garment Fabrication Technology, Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (ITES&M), Interior Design, Instrumentation & Control, Library & Information Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engg. (Maintenance Engg.) , Medical Laboratory Technology, Polymer Technology, Printing Technology, Production Engineering, Textile Design, Tool & Die Making.||The candidate should have passed 10th class or any other examination recognized as equivalent to 10th class examination, conducted by CBSE / other board with minimum 35% aggregate or 3.7 CGPA in Science, Mathematics & English The subjects Science, Mathematics and English are compulsory and the candidate should have passed in each of these three subjects.
|Test 2||For candidates applying for Modern Office Practice (English).||The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 35% marks in aggregate of the best three subjects including English. The subject English is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (English) and the candidate should have obtained pass marks in this subject.|
|Test 3||For candidates applying for Modern Office Practice (Hindi)||The candidate should have passed Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (Class XII) of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi in any stream of 10+2 (Academic) or any other examination recognized as equivalent to the Senior Secondary School Certificate with minimum 35% marks in aggregate of the best three subjects including Hindi/Sanskrit. The subject Hindi/Sanskrit is compulsory for Modern Office Practice (Hindi).|
|Test 4||For candidates applying for Pharmacy||Passed 12th Std. examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biology (Botany and Zoology).|
|Test 5||For candidates applying for lateral entry (For Delhi region candidates only).||Passed 12th Std examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics / Biology ( Botany and Zoology) OR 12th Science (with Mathematics as one of the Subject) or 12th Science with Vocational OR 12th Science with Technical OR 10th + (2years ITI) with appropriate Trade in that order shall be eligible for admission to Second Year Diploma Course(s) of appropriate Programme. The ITIs/ ITCs must be from Institutes located only in Delhi and affiliated to DGE&T/BTE, Delhi.ITI student who had already appeared for his/her final exam has to submit their passed certificate/mark sheet on or before 30/11/2018 otherwise his / her provisional admission stands canceled. 10th + (2years ITI) with appropriate Trade against 20% supernumerary seats in analogous disciplines of Architectural Assistantship, Automobile Engineering, Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering (Construction Technology), Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electronics Engineering (Digital Electronics), Electronics Engineering (Medical Electronics), Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering (Maintenance Engineering), -Polymer Technology, Production Engineering and Civil Engineering, (Public Health & Environmental Engineering), Information Technology Enabled Services & Management (ITES &M) Tool & Die Making|
CET application form has to be filled online by accessing the official website www.cetdelhiexam.nic.in. It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to make sure that he/she is eligible to apply and fulfils all the conditions prescribed for the admission. A separate application form is to be filled for each Test. Only one application shall be allowed per candidate per test.
Application Fee: The fee (in Indian Rupees) for CET-2018 is Rs 400/- + Rs 15/- bank charges + Rs 3/- (GST).
The admit card will only be issued for those candidates, who will properly submit the application form and the fee. The registered candidates can download the admit card showing the roll no. and Centre details by logging in the website www.cetdelhiexam.nic.in approximately 10 days prior to the date of CET- 2018 examination. It is a very important document which is to be carried on the exam day. Along with the admit card, the candidates will also have to carry a photo id card on the exam day. Without these documents, the candidates will not be allowed to take CET. The candidates are directed to retain the Admit Card till the admission is finalized.
Exam Pattern for Delhi CET is as follows.
- The test paper will contain 150 objective-type questions in all. Each question will be provided with four alternative answers marked (1), (2), (3) and (4). Of these, only one correct or more appropriate answer should be selected and marked on the OMR answer sheet with black ball pen only.
- In Pharmacy, there will be total 210 questions, out of which the students have to attempt 150 questions by taking 60 questions either from Mathematics or from Biology. They have to indicate their option at the appropriate location in the answer sheet. If both options are attempted, answer sheet will be rejected and the result will be withheld.
- Each question shall carry four (04) marks. There will be negative marking for incorrect answers. One (01) mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer
- Tests will be of two hours and thirty minutes duration and will carry 600 marks.
- A center once allotted by the Controller of CET-2018/Principal, IIT Dwarka will not be changed and no request in this regard will be entertained under any circumstances.
- The medium/language of the question papers for the entrance test will be as under
- Test 1,4 & 5: English and Hindi (Bilingual)
- Test 2: English
- Test 3: Hindi
- In case of any discrepancy in the bilingual question papers pertaining to Test Nos. 1, 4, & 5 the English version will be considered as the correct version.
- The tests will be held in centres located in Delhi only.

The Controller of examination, CET-2018 shall declare the rank of qualified candidates only. No separate intimation shall be sent to the candidates in this regard. All the admissions shall be made by the CET 2018 based on the merit ranking in the tests and fulfillment of minimum eligibility conditions prescribed for each test. The result of the Common Entrance Test (CET-2018) will be displayed on the website www.cetdelhi.nic.in. The candidates are advised to check the website regularly for updates.
Preparation of Merit List
Based on the marks obtained in the entrance test, the Controller, CET-2018 will prepare a list of candidates in order of merit in each category, for each test. For being eligible for admission, a general candidate must secure a minimum of 10% marks, and reserved category (SC/ST/OBC/PWD) must secure minimum of 5% marks in CET-2018. The candidates belonging to reserved category, who qualify on the basis of relaxation in cut off percentage, i.e., 5%, will not be eligible for admission to general category seats.
Candidates will be selected through the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted in Delhi. Based on the performance in this examination a merit list is prepared. The final admission will be made
according to the order of merit and the preference is given by the candidate in their application.
The candidates who will qualify the examination will be called to for the counselling. The counselling will also be held online and the candidates will have to register for it. After the registration, the candidates will be able to state the choices for the course and the colleges. On the basis of which, the seat allotment result will be announced. Candidates will then have to pay the partial admission fee and get the documents verified. After the successful verification, candidates will be able to lock the seat and at the end of the counselling report at the allocateInstitutete.
