IIJNM Admission 2020 – Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media popularly known as IIJNM invites applications for admission in Journalism courses Print Journalism, Broadcast Journalism and Online Multimedia Journalism. Applicants willing to take admission in one year Post Graduate Diploma (PGDJ) or one-year Graduate Diploma (GDJ) can fill the application before the last date. IIJNM Admission 2020
IIJNM offered 3 Journalism programs; namely Print Journalism, Broadcast Journalism and Multimedia Journalism. Applicants will have to state the choice for the desired course in the application form. All the important dates related to IIJNM admission 2020 are as follows:

IIJNM 2020 Application Form
Candidates seeking admission in IIJNM must apply for PGDJ or GDJ program. Application forms have been made available in both online and offline mode. The candidates are required to fill the form properly and send it to college before the last date of form submission. Candidates must ensure that test city and program name for which the candidate is applying is clearly mentioned in the form.

Application Fee: Rs. 1000/-
Mode of Application Fee payment : Candidates applying for admission through online mode can fill the application and pay fees through credit card or debit card
Offline Mode: Candidates have to draw a DD of Rs. 1000/- in favour of “IIJNM Bangalore.” payable at Bangalore.
Documents Required to be Sent Along with IIJNM 2020 Application Form
Applicant must ensure that completed application form reaches the institute before the last day of application form submission. However, late forms sent by applicants may be considered depending on the number of vacancies.
Applicant must ensure that he/ she fills or send the application form on or before the last date along with the below mentioned documents:
- Photocopy of 10th and 12th mark sheet
- Photocopy of last qualifying examination
- Essay: Applicant is required to write an essay of 600- 750 words on a recent event that became popular at the national or international level and how it affected your life.
- Any published writing sample or any record of achievement.

IIJNM 2020 Eligibility Criteria
IIJNM offers Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ) program for those with (or expecting) a bachelor’s degree, and Graduate Diploma in Journalism (GDJ) program for those with PUC/12th standard.
The key requirements are:
- Writing Skills ; IIJNM expects journalists to be sensitive to language and to organize their thoughts clearly and coherently. While we provide remedial help in improving writing skills, fair command of the English language is a requirement.
- Education : Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism (PGDJ): A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is required. Applicants awaiting final year examination results or who will be graduating this year may also apply.
- Diploma in Journalism: Students who have completed or awaiting results for 10+2 / pre-university are eligible to apply. Prior knowledge of computer applications is not a requirement.
- IIJNM admits both Indian and international students. Selection is based entirely on merit, without any regard for gender, race, religion, caste or nationality. There is no age bar.
IIJNM Admission 2020 Admission Test and Personal Interview
Test and Counseling: Due to the current situation of COVID-19, the admission test and counselling are conducted online. Candidates who have submitted the application form will be intimated about the date and timing of the test and interview.
Personal Interview: PI will be conducted online after an aptitude test. Candidates who will appear for the test will receive the call and email stating time and date. However, candidates taking the Aptitude Test in Bangalore can also appear for the Personal round of Interview.
IIJNM 2020 Admission Procedure
The admission procedure for IIJNM 2020 Consist of following points-
- Completion and submission of application form
- Admission Test, Personal Interview, and Counselling
- Notification and acceptance of admission
Complete the application form (online or hard copy) and upload or attach a photocopy of your marks transcripts and degree certificates. Students awaiting final examination results may submit their provisional degree certificates or the latest marks transcripts.
Upload or attach the required essay: Describe a recent event that has received major national or international attention, and how it affected you (between 600 and 750 words). Pay Rs. 1000 towards the application processing fee to place your application on active review.
