IIJNM 2019 Admission – Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media popularly known as IIJNM has started the application process for admission in Journalism courses for the academic year 2019-20. Applicants willing to take admission in one year Post Graduate Diploma (PGDJ) or one year Graduate Diploma (GDJ) can fill the application before May 13, 2019. Candidates applying before March 31, 2019, will be given a concession of Rs. 10000, under the Early admission scheme of IIJNM. The admission of the candidates will be done on the basis of an Aptitude Test, followed by a Personal Interview. IIJNM Admission 2019 – Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media

IIJNM offered 3 Journalism programs; namely Print Journalism, Broadcast Journalism and Multimedia Journalism. Applicants will have to state the choice for the desired course in the application form. All the important dates related to IIJNM admission 2019 are as follows:

IIJNM Application Form 2019

Candidates seeking admission in IIJNM can now apply for PGDJ or GDJ program. Application forms have been made available in both online and offline mode. The candidates are required to fill the form properly and send it to college before the last date of form submission. Candidates must ensure that test city and program name for which the candidate is applying is clearly mentioned in the form. Applicants also need to make payment of Rs. 1000 along with the form, as the application fee.

Online Mode: Candidates applying for admission through online mode can fill the application and pay fees through credit card or debit card.

Offline Mode: Applicants who want to apply through offline mode must download the form available in PDF format and send it after filling it properly along with Demand Draft or Pay Order drawn in favour of ‘IIJNM Bangalore’ and payable at Bangalore.

Early Admission Note: A concession of INR 10000 will be given to candidate as early admission. Only those candidates will be eligible for concession who will send application form on or before March 31, 2019.

Documents Required to be Sent Along with IIJNM 2019 Application Form

Applicant must ensure that completed application form reaches the institute before the last day of application form submission. However, late forms sent by applicants may be considered depending on the number of vacancies.

Applicant must ensure that he/ she fills or send the application form on or before the last date along with the below mentioned documents:

  1. Photocopy of 10th and 12th mark sheet
  2. Photocopy of last qualifying examination
  3. Essay: Applicant is required to write an essay of 600- 750 words on a recent event that became popular at the national or international level and how it affected your life.
  4. Any published writing sample or any record of achievement.

IIJNM Admission 2019 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for admission in IIJNM courses for 1 year post graduate diploma (PGDJ) program or one-year graduate diploma (GDJ) program must ensure that they fulfill the basic eligibility criteria to be considered for admission.

Qualification: Applicant must ensure that he/ she has passed last qualifying exam. Candidates applying for PGDJ program must have done Bachelor’s degree and for those applying for GDJ degree need to pass12th standard from any recognized institute.

Marks in Test and PI: No minimum marks criteria is set for the admission. The final result will be based on candidates performance in the aptitude round and persona interview. Admission to only those candidates will be provided who will pass Aptitude round and PI with good marks.

IIJNM Admission 2019 Admission Test and Personal Interview

Test and Counseling: It will be conducted at various centers in cities of Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Mumbai. The date of aptitude and counseling will be intimidated after submission of application form. Students will either receive a call or email stating venue and time.

Personal Interview: PI will be conducted in the campus of IIJNM, Bangalore after aptitude test. Candidates who will appear for the test will receive the call and email stating time and venue. However, candidates taking Aptitude Test in Bangalore can also appear for the Personal round of Interview.

Candidates appearing for Personal Interview will be notified about the result within 48 hours following the Interview. If selected they will be called for admission in IIJNM.

IIJNM Admit Card 2019

The admit card for the examination will be released online, on the official website. The candidates will be able to download it by downloading the Email Id and Password. Through the amit card, the candidates will come to know about thier exam center, exam time, date, and day. Other than these, admit card will also contain important details about the candidates and the exam. Hence, it is an important documents that is to be carried to the exam hall.

Sample paper for IIJNM is available for the help of candidates in the preparation of the entrance test. Candidates can check the scheme of paper and get a rough idea about how the question paper will be setup and how to manage time and attempt all the questions in the time provided.
