Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media Courses offered IIJNM (Indian Institute of Journalism and New Media) offers the following two programs:

  1. Post-graduate diploma in print, broadcast or online/multimedia. : Those with a Bachelor’s degree or expect to receive shortly may apply for this Master’s level diploma program.
  2. Diploma in print, broadcast or multimedia : Those with 10+2 or Pre-university graduation or expect to receive shortly may apply for this Bachelor’s level diploma program.

IIJNM Admission 2018 – Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media

The IIJNM Admission procedure consists of the following steps:

  • Completion and submission of application form
  • Aptitude test and personal interview
  • Notification and acceptance of admission

IIJNM Application Form 2018

Admission Form for Admission in said courses is now Opened. Candidates can apply online or offline from the link given below as per the schedule. Candidates are also advised to must ensure their eligibility before going to apply online.

Completion and submission of application form

Completed application form must reach IIJNM by no later than May 10, 2018. But late applicants may submit completed form and supporting documents after this date, which may be considered for admission only if vacancies are still available.

Note: Early applications must be submitted prior to March 31, 2018 for consideration. We encourage submitting applications early to assure quick completion of the admission process to the limited number of seats. Those awaiting college examination results may be given conditional admission.

All applicants must submit online or mail the following to the Admissions Committee at the address given below:

  1. Completed application form.
  2. Photocopy of official transcripts of academic records from undergraduate, graduate and/or professional institutions attended (when available). Those awaiting final examination results may submit copy of the transcripts when they become available.
  3. Application essay: Describe a recent event that has received major national or international attention, and how it affected you (between 600 and 750 words).
  4. The Rs. 1,000 application-processing fee by credit card or bank draft or pay order (payable at Bangalore) and drawn in favour of “IIJNM Bangalore.”
  5. Supporting material (if any) such as writing samples (published), record of achievements, etc.

Aptitude Test and Counselling

est and counselling will be held at centres in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bangalore during March, April and May.  Exact dates will be intimated following receipt of completed Application Form.

Personal interview

Personal interview is held only at IIJNM, Bangalore following the Aptitude Test. Alternate dates for interview will be set for March, April and May. Those applicants taking the aptitude test in Bangalore may also appear for personal interview on the same day.

Selection Procedure

Last year selection process is given below.

On-line written test and personal interview: Applicants who are notified of consideration (short-listed) must take the online aptitude test. Qualified candidates will be notified of personal interview at IIJNM campus in Bangalore on any of the dates mentioned above. Those candidates appearing for personal interview will be notified of admission within 24 hours following the personal interview.
