The IIT JAM 2027 admit card will be available on the JOAPS portal from 5 January 2027 until the exam day, 14 February 2027. IIT Kharagpur will not post or email it. You download it with your Enrollment ID and password and must bring a printout and an original photo ID to the centre.

How to Download the IIT JAM 2027 Admit Card
- Go to the JOAPS login page on or after 5 January 2027.
- Enter your Enrollment ID or registered email ID, your password and the captcha.
- Open the admit card link on your dashboard.
- Check every detail, then download the PDF.
- Print it, preferably in colour, and keep a copy safe; some institutes ask for it at admission.
In 2026 the admit card release was postponed from 5 January to 13 January 2026, so watch the JAM 2027 notifications page for any change.
What details are printed on the IIT JAM 2027 admit card?
The brochure lists these details on the admit card. If any entry is wrong, email [email protected] at once.
What should you carry to the IIT JAM 2027 exam?
- A printout of the downloaded admit card (colour preferred).
- The original photo ID whose details you gave in the application: Aadhaar, passport, PAN card, voter ID or driving licence were accepted in 2026.
- PwD candidates using a scribe or extra time should carry the documents asked for during the application.
Without a valid admit card and an original photo ID you will not be allowed to take the exam.
What are the IIT JAM 2027 exam-day rules?
- Mobile phones, smart watches, calculators and other electronic gadgets are not allowed in the hall.
- Printed, scanned or handwritten material is not allowed; a scribble pad is given for rough work and must be returned.
- Your fingerprint and photograph may be captured, so do not have ink, mehndi or henna on your fingertips.
- Do not talk to other candidates or tamper with the computer; unfair means lead to cancellation and a ban from future JAM exams.
- The exam ends on its own when the 3 hours are up.
Can you change your IIT JAM 2027 exam city?
Yes, but only during the correction stage, well before the admit card. A wrong exam city can be changed on JOAPS for Rs 300; the JAM office lists the paid data-correction window from 10 November 2026 (tentative). Cities are allotted by zone, and if a chosen city is not possible for operational reasons, another city is allotted. The centre printed on the admit card is final.
