JAM 2021 Result – Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore will announce the JAM 2021 result on March 20, 2021. The candidates can check the result online at jam.iisc.ac.in. Compilation of JAM 2021 Result
JAM result is compiled in the following way:
All India Rank (AIR): For each test paper, All India Rank (AIR) is assigned to all the candidates who appeared in the exam. AIR is awarded according to the candidate’s performance in the test paper.
Merit List: According to AIR, a merit list is prepared. The merit list is prepared for each test paper. The number of candidates included in the merit list depends on the total number of seats available in each category in a particular subject. The qualified candidates are then eligible to apply for admission to any of the programmes available at IITs and IISc.
Scorecard: After the release of the merit list, the scorecard is released.
JAM 2021 Tie-Breaking Policy
If two or more candidates secure same marks in JAM 2021, then the following criteria will be followed:
- First of all, the scores of NAT section will be considered
- Then, the marks in MSQ section will be considered
- The candidate with a higher ratio of positive marks to negative marks will be given a higher rank
- Finally, the date of birth of the candidates is taken into account.
If the tie is not broken, then the concerned candidates are awarded the same rank.

- Next, click on the ‘Send Enrolment Id’ button.

- Next, click on the ‘Request for OTP’ button.

JAM 2021 Scorecard
Few days after the declaration of JAM 2021 result, the scorecard is released. The scorecard is released for the candidates who have qualified the exam. JAM scorecard comprises of the following details:

What After the Declaration of JAM 2021 Result?
The candidates whose names appear in JAM 2021 merit list are then eligible to apply for the academic programmes available at IITs. The application form for admission is released at JOAPS.
Admission Form: According to the test paper that have been qualified, an applicant can apply for one or more academic programmes covered under the test paper (after checking the minimum eligibility requirements of that particular admitting institute).
First Admission List: After checking the preferences in the admission form and the rank, the organizing institute releases the first admission list.
Seat Booking Fee: After the release of the first admission list, it is intimated by the Organizing institute to the concerned candidate. Along with the submission of the acceptance form, an advanced seat booking fee has to be paid within the specified deadline. This fee has to be paid online only.
Vacant Seats: If the seats remain vacant seats after the first admission list, then the second admission list will be prepared nd then the candidates have to pay the seat booking fee. Similarly, if after the release of the second admission list, the third and the final list by the organizing institute will be released.
