Candidates must apply online in order to appear for IIT JEE Advanced 2018. The IITs offer admission into undergraduate courses through JEE (Advanced), leading to a Bachelor’s, Integrated Master’s or Bachelor‐Master Dual Degree in Engineering, Sciences, Architecture, or Pharmaceutics. JEE Advanced 2018 Registration for Foreign Candidates

Candidates who are NOT citizens of India (by birth or naturalized), do not belong to OCI/PIO category, and whose parents are not citizens of India and do not come under OCI/PIO category at the time of registering for JEE (Advanced) 2018 are treated as foreign nationals. These candidates are not required to write JEE(Main) 2018 and may register for JEE(Advanced) 2018 directly subject to fulfilment of other eligibility criteria.

Are you eligible to fill JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form?

Candidates need to fulfill the given criterion in order to register for JEE Advanced 2018. You may check the eligibility criteria as given below:

  1. Performance in JEE Main 2018: Candidates should be among the top (including all categories) by scoring positive marks in Paper‐1 of JEE (Main) 2018.
  2. Age Limit: Should have been born on or after October 1, 1993. Five years relaxation will be given to SC, ST and PwD candidates.
  3. Number of attempts: You can attempt for JEE (Advanced) examination a maximum of two times in consecutive years.
  4. A candidate should have appeared for the Class XII (or equivalent) examination.
  5. A candidate should NOT have been admitted in an IIT irrespective of whether or not he/she continued in the program OR whose admission at IITs were canceled are also NOT eligible to appear for JEE (Advanced) 2018.

Significance of JEE Advanced 2018 Application Form Submission

After the JEE Main results are announced, the next step for admission into IITs is through JEE Advanced. Qualified candidates can register for JEE Advanced 2018 on its official website. Candidates will have to register online only. Registration submitted by post/courier will not be accepted. Carefully read all the instructions carefully before filling in details for the registration. Candidates have to log in to registration web portal for JEE Advanced 2018, fill in all the details as required, then upload scanned copies of the documents as specified, and finally pay the applicable charges.

Registration Procedure

The online registration process for IIT JEE Advanced 2018 contains the following steps:

  1. Candidates MUST register for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2018. Registration is only through the online registration portal i.e www.jeeadv.ac.in. A direct link will be provided on this page as soon as online registration starts.
  2. After login, provide the basic data and the choices of the cities for the examination. The candidate will have the option of adding an additional mobile phone number and an additional email id, in addition to the number(s) provided during JEE (Main) 2018 registration. Please note that all the correspondence regarding JEE (Advanced) 2018 will
    be sent to the registered mobile number by SMS and/or to the registered email id by email.
  3. Upload the scanned copies of all requisite documents.
  4. Pay the registration fee as mentioned in the table above.

Documents Required

As mentioned, the scanned copies of all required documents will be needed at the time of online registration. The documents that a candidate must keep in handy are:

All candidates:

  • Class X certificate if the date of birth is mentioned in it OR birth certificate.
  • Class XII (or equivalent examination) certificate (for those who appeared for this examination in 2017 or whose board declared the Class XII (or equivalent examination) results after June 2016).
  • If the name is not same as in the Class X certificate, gazette notification showing the change of name.

For Candidates seeking admission under the OBC-NCL category: OBC-NCL certificate (FORM-OBC-NCL) should have been issued on or after April 01, 2018 in confirmation with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If any OBC-NCL candidate fails to collect the OBC-NCL certificate (issued after April 1, 2018) before online registration, he/she may upload a declaration (Declaration in Lieu of OBC-NCL Certificate) to that effect.

For Candidates seeking admission under the SC or ST category: Caste (for SC) or tribe (for ST) certificate (FORM-SC/ST), the latest guidelines of the Government of India.

For Candidates seeking admission under the PwD category: Physical Disability certificate issued by the notified medical authority. Individual IITs may constitute a medical board at the time of admission to test the candidate’s level of disability.

For Candidates needing the services of a scribe: Request letter to the Chairman of the respective zonal coordinating IIT (FORM-SCRIBE).

For Candidates seeking admission under the DS category: Certificate (FORM-DS) issued by a competent authority in the Directorate of Resettlement and Rehabilitation, New Delhi under the Ministry of Defence or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India.

For PIO/OCI Card holders: PIO card or OCI certificate, as applicable.
