SET 2027 is the Symbiosis Entrance Test for undergraduate programmes such as BBA, BCA, BA Mass Communication and B.Sc Economics at Symbiosis International (Deemed University) institutes. SIU runs it as a 60-minute computer-based test. The 2027 dates are not out yet: registration is expected from December 2026 and the tests in May 2027.

SET 2027 Important Dates
SIU has not released the SET 2027 schedule, so the dates below are expected months based on 2026. In 2026 the two tests were held on 2 and 10 May 2026, so the 2027 tests are expected in May 2027.

How to Apply for SET 2027
You register online at set-test.org, pay the test fee, and then pay a separate fee for each Symbiosis programme you want. Paying only the test fee does not make you eligible for any programme, whatever your score.
Apply Online for SET 2027
Applications for SET 2027 are expected in December 2026.
- Open set-test.org and click Register.
- Accept the instructions, fill in your details and verify the OTP sent to your mobile and email.
- Note the SET ID and password you receive by email and SMS.
- Pay the test fee for one or two test dates, by online gateway or demand draft.
- Choose your programmes and institutes, and pay the programme registration fee for each one.
- Pick your test date and three test-city preferences. Dates and cities go first come, first served.
- Save the confirmation emails from [email protected] or [email protected].

Which courses can you join through SET 2027?
SET is compulsory for these four-year Honours programmes, as listed in the latest (2026) bulletin. Each institute runs its own selection after the test.

B.Tech seats at SIT Pune, Nagpur and Hyderabad use SITEEE, a separate test taken on the same portal and dates. SIT also admits through JEE Main or a state engineering test. Law (SLAT) and design (SEED) have their own Symbiosis tests, and nursing, paramedical, culinary and photography courses use institute-level admission.
Who can apply for SET 2027?
You need Class 12 from a recognised board with at least 50% marks. These are the rules in the 2026 bulletin:
- Class 12 (10+2) or equivalent with at least 50% marks, or 45% for SC and ST candidates.
- B.Sc (Applied Statistics and Data Science) also needs Mathematics in Class 12.
- BCA also accepts a government-approved diploma in engineering or technology.
- For B.Tech through SITEEE: Physics and Maths with one more listed subject, and 45% in these together (40% for reserved categories).
- OCI, PIO and foreign national candidates do not take SET. They apply through the Symbiosis Centre for International Education (SCIE).
What is the SET 2027 exam pattern?
SET is one computer-based test of 60 multiple-choice questions for 60 marks in 60 minutes, as per the latest official structure.

There is no negative marking and all sections are compulsory. SITEEE also has 60 questions in 60 minutes, but carries 120 marks: Physics 15 questions, Chemistry 15 and Mathematics 30, at 2 marks each. Section details are on the SET syllabus page.
