TISSNET 2018 was held on January 06, 2018. TATA Institute of Social Science has announced TISS National Eligibility Test result. TISSNET 2018 result firms the basis of admission to Master of Art (M.A.) courses offered by TISS Hyderabad, Chennai, Mumbai, Guwahati, and Tuljapur. TISSNET 2018 is a 1 hour and 40 minutes paper. The exam was organized in 39 centers, across India. To secure a seat in the Institute, the candidates first have to appear for the written examination. TISSNET 2018 Result

The candidates who will take part in the exam will be able to access the result by submitting the details given below:

  • Register E-mail Id
  • Password

TISS will also release the Scorecard, the Merit List of the candidates. It will also be available online. You can check so by the login. The candidates will be able to access it by submitting the above-mentioned details. The candidates who will not get the place in the first merit list will also get the waiting list.

TISSNET Merit List 2018: It will be released in the pdf format. The merit list will be available for all the 5 campuses. The candidates who will be selected for the first round will get the place in the merit list. It will contain the Registration Number and the Name of the Candidates.

  • The merit list will be prepared with the weightage to NET, PIT and PI will be – 40%, PIT – 30%, PI – 30%.

TISSNET Wait List 2018: The multiple waiting lists will be released by the institute. There will be the names of those candidates who will be qualified and might be called for next round of admission. It will be possible only if the seats remain vacant. It will not be available in the pdf as merit list. You can check it by the TISSNET 2018 Login.

Selection Procedure of TISSNET 2018

The selection of the candidates will be done will be done on the basis of Written Examination, Pre-Interview Test (PTI), and Personal Interview (PI). The weightage to these will be provided as below:

  • National Common Written Test – 100 Marks
  • Pre-Interview Test/GD – 50 Marks
  • Personal Interview – 75 Marks

TISSNET 2018 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria of TISSNET, to be fulfilled by each and every candidate is as below. It is advised that ber the candidates ensure the eligibility before applying for TISS M.A Admission 2018.

  • Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree, which must have been attained by completing a duration of at least 3 years.
  • The Degree must have been awarded by a recognized institute. Throughout the Degree program, the candidates must have passed in all the semesters.
  • Candidates in final year may also apply. However, they need to ensure that they have passed in all the semesters during the degree program.

TISSNET 2018 Application Form

The Institute will provide the NET 2018 Application Form in online mode. The candidates who live in remote areas or they do not have the access to technology will get the chance to fill the application form in the offline mode. The candidates will able to apply for three M.A. courses of their choice with a single application form.

How to Acquire Offline Application Form: If the candidate wants to fill te offline application form then they will have to send a request with the application fee, through Speed Post to the address mentioned in the TISSNET 2018 notification.

How to Apply Online for TISSNET 2018: The candidates who want to fill the application form can check the points given below:

  • First, you will have to click on the link provided on this page to access the Homepage of the website.
  • Then you will have to do the Registration by submitting personal and contact details.
  • After that, you will have to fill all the valid details given on the application form.
  • At last, you will have to submit the details and take the printout of it for the future reference.

Application Fee: The candidates will have to pay the application fee according to their categories:

  • General Category: Rs. 1030/-
  • SC/ST/OBC-NCL Category: Rs. 250/-

Mode of the Payment: The candidates can pay the application fee through the online mediums or by cash. Note: For the offline application, you can make the payment through the Demand Draft (DD).

TISSNET 2018 Admit Card

The admit card of TISSNET 2018 has been issued through the TISSNET Login (account generate during the registration). The candidates can only download it if the form and the fee have been submitted in the correct format.

Admit card is an important document, which must be carried to the exam hall. Without it, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. The candidates will also have to affix their photograph on the hall ticket if the printed picture is not clear.

TISSNET 2018 Exam Pattern

The National written exam will be of  100 marks and the components of it will be as below:

  • Mode of the Examination – It will be conducted as the Computer Based Test.
  • Time Duration – The candidates will get 1 hour and 40 minutes to complete the exam.
  • Number of Questions – There will be total 100 questions in the exam.
  • Question Type – The questions will be of Multiple Choice Type.
  • Negative Marking – There will be no negative marking in the exam.
Candidates with a visual impairment may opt for a Scribe. The scribe must be an undergraduate, who will have to carry their original ID proof at the exam center. It should also be noted that a person with a disability of 40% or more will be given 20 minutes extra time.

LR Topics – In the exam, the questions will be asked from Alphabet series, Eye for detail, Number Series, Statement conclusion/ assumption/arguments, Linear/ circular/family arrangement, Venn diagram, Puzzles, Cubes, Logical Connectivity.

VA – There will be the questions from Analogies, Antonyms, Odd word out, Word substitute in a sentence, Right usage of words in the blanks, Idioms, Right usage of word in match the following, homophones, Idioms – Match the following, Error spotting – Grammar/Words/Punctuation, Sentence correction.
