The Punjab B.Ed 2027 syllabus has five parts of 30 marks each: General Awareness, Teaching Potential, General Mental Ability, English, and Punjabi or Hindi. There is no subject-knowledge paper on your graduation subjects. The official syllabus is printed in the yearly prospectus, and 2027 is expected to keep the 2026 syllabus.

What is in Part A: General Awareness?
Part A has 30 questions on general knowledge across these areas:

What is in Part B: Teaching Potential?
Part B has 30 questions that test your understanding of teaching and schools:
- The learning process and the education system, including non-formal and distance education
- Audio-visual aids and mass media
- Values in the Constitution of India
- National-level education agencies and organisations
- Aptitude for teaching, a teacher’s personal qualities and classroom problems of learners
- Human relations with students, colleagues and administration
- Examination, evaluation and assessment
- Library use, and school and society
What is in Part C: General Mental Ability?
Part C has 30 reasoning questions with numbers, words and figures:
- Number series
- Classification
- Analogies
- Synonyms and opposites
- Coding and decoding
- Seeing relations and blood relations
- Deductive and inductive reasoning
- Interpretation of graphs and figures
- Evaluation and inference
What is in the English, Punjabi and Hindi papers?
Part D (English) is compulsory for everyone. For Part E you take Punjabi if you studied Punjabi in Class 10, otherwise Hindi. Both language parts test the same areas:

- Idioms and vocabulary
- Correction and punctuation
- Written comprehension
What is the Punjab B.Ed 2027 exam pattern and marking?
The test is one offline OMR paper of 150 questions and 150 marks in 2 hours 30 minutes, with no negative marking.

Questions 1 to 90 (Parts A, B and C) are printed in both English and Punjabi. Each question has four options with one correct answer.
