Punjab B.Ed Admission 2018- Punjab University, Chandigarh hosted its state level common entrance test meant for admissions into B.Ed program. The program ran under the title B.Ed.CET-2018. The Punjab University has uploaded the prospectus carrying information on Joint B.ED admissions (Punjab)- 2018 for college educations. Candidates selected will get admission in (Government, Government Aided, Private Self-Financed Colleges) Affiliated to Punjab University, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar.
The schedule indicates that applications start from May 14, 2018 and the last date to submit it on June 20, 2018. And the test will be conducted on Jul 05, 2018. The admission website i.e pbbedadmissions.puchd.ac.in will be operational with active apply links on the prescribed dates. The applications would be submitted in online mode with fee charges of around Rs. 1100/- to Rs. 2200/-

The Merit list will be prepared in the following manner:
- The minimum qualifying marks in B.Ed.-CET-2018 will be 25% for General Category students and 20% for SC/ST candidates.

Candidates must complete all the Punjab University B.Ed program 2018 application formalities on time. The Punjab University will host the apply link on its official website at pbbedadmissions.puch.ac.in At the appropriate time, fill the details in the form like- basic details, correspondence details, educational details, uploading photographs etc. and submit the form. Upon final submission take a print for your reference.

Application Fee
Candidates may be required to pay the amount of Rs. 2200/- for General Category and Rs. 1100/- for SC/ST/PWD category. The fee would be payable using online or offline mediums. The exact medium would be confirmed to you at the right time.
Eligibility Criteria for Punjab B.Ed Entrance
Academic requirement-Candidates who complete their Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Science/ Social Sciences/ Humanities/ Commerce/Home Science/ B.B.A/ B.C.A/ B.A.LL.B/ B.Com.LL.B.
Marks requirement- 50% marks
Other requirements- candidates holding Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in science and mathematics should have secured at least 55% marks.
Relaxation policy- 5% for SC/BC candidates.
Note– While calculating merit, marks obtained in Graduation only will be considered.
Punjab B.Ed Entrance 2018 Exam Pattern
It is expected that there will be 150 Multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. Therefore, there will be total 150 marks which will be awarded in the entrance examination. Paper is to be conducted in OFFLINE mode

Expected Syllabus for entrance test
There shall be 5 parts in this paper- Part A, B, C, D and E. 30 questions in each section carrying 1 mark each.
Part A- General Awareness Test- in this part there will be 30 questions related to these topics:- Education, Science, Social Science, Language, Literature, Art and Culture, Sports and Games, Current Events (Political, Social & Economic), Government Policy of Education and Who’s Who etc.
Part B- Teaching Potential- in this part there will be 30 questions related to these following topics:- Values as enshrined in the Constitution of India, General Awareness of National Level Educational agencies and organization of Social, Political, Economic and Cultural Agendas, Aptitude for Teaching Profession; Teacher’s personal characteristics and their adjustments, Classroom problems of learners and their solutions, Knowledge of Teaching Learning Process of Educational System including non-formal and distance education, Library Usage, Examination, evaluation and assessment, Adjustment problems of human relations with students, colleges and administration, School and Society and Audio-Visual Aids and Mass Media etc
Part C- General Mental Ability Test- in this part there will be 30 questions related to these following topics:- Number Series, Seeing Relations, Classification, Analogies, Synonyms or opposites, Code, De-code, Interpretation of Graphs & Figures, Evaluation and Inference, Deductive and Inductive Reasoning and Blood Relations etc.
Part D- English- in this part there will be 30 questions related to these following topics:- Idioms and Vocabulary, Grammar, Correction and Punctuation and written comprehension etc.
Part E- Punjabi or Hindi- in this part there will be 30 questions related to these following topics:- Idioms and Vocabulary, Grammar, Correction and Punctuation and written comprehension etc.
Punjab B.Ed Entrance 2018 Admission Procedure
The admission to B.Ed. Course in the colleges affiliated to Panjab University, Chandigarh, Punjabi University, Patiala and Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar for the session 2018-19 shall be made on the basis of the relative merit of the candidates in the Common Entrance Test, subject to the availability of seats in a particular subject combination and as per reservation policy of Government of Punjab.
The candidates are required to fill the choices of colleges and Major Subjects on the prescribed proforma on the B.Ed. admission website. He/she will be admitted to the college on the basis of merit for his/her category in the respective subject, provided he/she fulfills the requisite eligibility conditions.
