NERIST Entrance Examination NEE 2015   nee  ImageNEE 2015 will be the entrance examinations conducted by North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology. NEE (NERIST entrance examination) shall be conducted for admission in different modules of study in the Institute. There are three different examinations known as NEE I 2015, NEE II 2015 and NEE III 2015 that are being conducted every year to admit students in these modules viz., Base (Certificate), Diploma and Degree modules. The entrance examination is held at various centres located in the eight North Eastern States of India.

Admission will open on 08.01.2015 and close on 27.02.2015.

NEE 2015 Important Information

The Entrance Examination shall be conducted for admission at three levels viz.,

NEE I

NEE I exam is for Base Module (Certificate Course) (for Class X passed candidates). Exam pattern of NEE I exam is as explained below.

  • It will have one question paper of 150 marks consisting of three sections and of three hours’ duration.
  • All questions will be of objective type with multiple-choice answers.
  • For every wrong answer to a question, 25% (¼th) of the marks carried by that question will be deducted.
  • There shall be no deduction for un-attempted question.

NEE II

NEE II PCMB will be for both Technology stream and Forestry stream. Whereas, NEE II Vocational is for Technology stream only.

NEE III

NEE III exam is for B. Tech degree in Engg & Technology (Technology stream) (for Diploma holders in AE, CE, ECE, EE, & ME and having 60% marks considering the aggregate marks of all the three years taken together / CGPA of 3.0 on a 5 point scale of NERIST Diploma Module with a minimum of CGPA 3.0.Those applicants who do not possess their qualifications as per the disciplines/branches mentioned in Information brochure are not eligible for admission.

NEE Exam Centres & their codes

The NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) will be conducted at centers in the eight North Eastern States only. The names of the centers are given in below. An applicant should choose an appropriate Examination Centre code of two a digit-number (say XX) from the Table indicated in the information bulletin as to where he/she desires to appear for the Entrance examination. The choice of Examination Centre exercised by an applicant is maintained as such. However, in case the number of applicants in that Examination centre is less than a certain number then the applicants may be accommodated in a nearby Examination centre.

The entrance examination is conducted at various centers located in the North Eastern States of India viz.. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam. Meghalaya. Manipur. Mizoram. Nagaland. Sikkim & Tripura.

About NERIST

The North Eastern Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST) is a unique Institute of its own kind in the country, having unconventional and innovative academic programmes. It was established in 1983 by the Government of India. Its foundation stone was laid by former President of India Late Giani Zail Singh on 4th March 1984.

The Institute was set up initially as a project of the North Eastern Council (NEC) for providing a system of education to create technical manpower at various levels for the development of the North Eastern Region of the country
