What’s new: Short list of candidates for WAT and PI has been announced.

The Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) at IIM Indore is an opportunity for students who have completed higher secondary to enter the portals of an IIM. In other words, IIM IPM 2017 entrance exam and admission are for class 12 pass students.

IIM Indore IPM Eligibility Criteria

International applicants satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Five Year Integrated Programme in Management of IIM Indore.

  • Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations from any of the recognized Central or State or International Boards; Maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2017.
  • Minimum valid score of 1000 out of 1600 in SAT (SAT score obtained during January 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017 will be only considered as valid score)

Domestic applicants satisfying the following criteria are eligible to apply for the Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management of IIM Indore.

  • General and NC-OBC Category: Minimum 60% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations, Maximum 20 years of age as on July 31, 2017.
  • SC, ST and PWD (DA) Category: Minimum 55% in standard X/ SSC and standard XII/ HSC or equivalent examinations, Maximum 22 years of age as on July 31, 2017.

Note 1 : Candidates who are likely to complete standard XII/ HSC or equivalent by the end of June 30, 2017 can also apply, subject to meeting the eligibility criteria as mentioned above. If selected, such candidates will be offered admission to the programme provisionally. At the time of registration for the programme, such candidates must have to produce X and XII standard marksheet (securing minimum marks i.e. 60%) along with school leaving certificate/migration certificate, failing which the candidate’s admission offer stands cancelled.

Note 2 : The percentage of marks obtained by the candidate in X and XII Standard would be calculated based on the aggregate marks of all subjects that appear in the mark sheet/grade sheet, irrespective of the Board’s regulation. In case the candidates are awarded letter grades or grades points instead of marks, the conversion of grades to percentage of marks would be based on the procedure certified by the Board/ Competent Authority explaining the method of conversion from where they have obtained the certificate.

Note 3 : Applicants pursuing their X and/or XII standard from international schools affiliated to foreign boards like IGCSE (International General Certificate for Secondary Education) and IB (International Baccalaureate) can also apply.

Note 4 : IIM Indore reserves the right to decide the eligibility conditions in terms of equivalence, percentage marks, and the recognition of the qualifying examination, intake etc.

Short List

Indian Institute of Management, Indore, has announced the Short-list for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) for IPM 2017 – 22 Batch.

Reservation

For Domestic Applicants

  • As per Government of India reservation norms, 15% and 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for scheduled caste (SC) and scheduled tribe (ST) candidates respectively meeting IIMI’s admission requirements; 27% seats are reserved for non- creamy layer – other backward classes (NC-OBC) candidates meeting IIMI’s admission requirements.
  • In addition, 3% seats are reserved for persons with disabilities (as per the provisions of Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995) meeting IIMI’s admission requirements. The three categories of disabilities are: (a) low-vision/blindness, b) hearing impairment, and c) loco motor disability/cerebral palsy. This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40% as certified by medical authority and as prescribed and explained in the said Act.

IIM Indore IPM 2017 Selection Procedure

For Domestic Candidates

The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear in either Aptitude Test, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview or both shall not be considered for selection. The selection process is as follows:

Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application online as described previously in sl. no. 2 i.e. Application procedure.

Stage 2: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 28 cities in the country i.e. Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Dehradun, Ghaziabad, Gurgaon, Guwahati, Gwalior, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur, New Delhi, Noida, Patna, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Varanasi and Visakhapatnam. However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centres at any time if the situation so warrants. The date of conducting AT is Tuesday May 16, 2017. The pattern of AT will be as follows:

  • AT will be of objective-type nature. The sample questions from previous year’s question paper will be uploaded on the website of IIM Indore (www.iimidr.ac.in).
  • There will be two sections in AT namely Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.
  • There will be 100 questions in total with a time duration of two hours.
  • Each question will carry 4 marks.
  • There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
  • Candidates must answer the sections in a pre-specified order and this order will remain the same for all the candidates.
  • Quantitative Ability section will have a time limit of 75 minutes and Verbal Ability section will have a time limit of 45 minutes.

Stage 3: In this stage, the eligible pool for Stage-4 {i.e. shortlisting for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI)} is created considering only the candidates having positive raw scores and a minimum mark in each of the two sections of Aptitude Test. The minimum cut off mark in each section will be based on the categories of applicants. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are rejected at this stage.

Stage 4: Sufficient number of candidates for WAT and PI for each category (General, NCOBC, SC, ST and PWD/DA) will be shortlisted from the eligible pool (refer Stage-3) using the merit list generated based on Aptitude Test Score (ATS) as mentioned in Table:

Computation of Aptitude Test Score

Shortlisted candidates shall appear for WAT and PI at any one of the ten centres i.e. Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not shortlisted for WAT and PI. IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e. Stage-5.

Stage 5: The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will only be considered for the final selection. Category wise merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in Table 2 and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the Government of India reservation norms.

Computation of Composite Score

No intimation will be sent to candidates who are not selected for final offer.

For International Candidates

The candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in SAT, Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Any candidate who fails to appear in WAT and PI shall not be considered for selection. The selection process is as follows:

Stage 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application Form as described previously in Sl. no. 2 i.e. Application procedure.

Stage 2: Appropriate number of candidates (as per the decision of admissions committee) for Personal Interview (PI) will be shortlisted using the merit list generated based on SAT Score. Shortlisted candidates shall appear for Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) at any one of the ten centres i.e. Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not shortlisted for WAT and PI. IIM Indore also expects a consistent and minimum performance in the different parameters of Personal Interview (PI), which will be decided by Admissions Committee. Candidates not meeting the minimum performance in any of PI parameters will not be considered for the next stage of selection process i.e. Stage-3.

Stage 3: The candidates satisfying the requirements mentioned in earlier stages will only be considered for the final selection. Merit list will be generated based on Composite Score (CS) as mentioned in Table 1 and provisional admission offers will be made accordingly adhering to the reservation norms.

Computation of Composite Score

No intimation will be sent to candidates who are not selected for final offer.

Note: If an international applicant, who is a foreigner, is selected for admission to the Programme, it will be the sole responsibility of the applicant to obtain and submit all the requisite clearance certificates from the Government of India, such as “No Objection Certificate” from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, etc. at the time of joining the Programme.

  1. I have done my studies from Delhi till 12th standard but now I am pursuing engineering from a college in Indore . now if I apply for ipm 2017 and qualify the aptitude test then my center for PI will be in Indore or Delhi.

      Shortlisted candidates shall appear for WAT and PI at any one of the ten centers i.e. Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Mumbai.However, IIM Indore reserves the right to change the centers at any time if the situation so warrants.
