From 2025, NTA removed the choice of 5 out of 10 numerical questions that had been allowed since 2021. Paper 1 went back to 75 compulsory questions.

NTA dropped the optional questions in Section B. Each subject had 5 compulsory numerical questions, so Paper 1 had 75 questions.
