Chemistry is split into physical, inorganic and organic sections, plus practical chemistry.
- Physical: basic concepts, states of matter, atomic structure, chemical bonding, chemical thermodynamics, solutions, equilibrium, redox reactions and electrochemistry, chemical kinetics, surface chemistry
- Inorganic: periodicity, isolation of metals, hydrogen, s-block, p-block, d- and f-block elements, coordination compounds, environmental chemistry
- Organic: purification and characterisation, basic principles, hydrocarbons, compounds containing halogens, oxygen and nitrogen, polymers, biomolecules, chemistry in everyday life

How should you prepare for KLEEE 2027?
- Finish the NCERT Class 11 and 12 Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics books first; the KLEEE units follow them closely.
- Practise JEE Main level multiple-choice questions, since KL sets the paper at that difficulty.
- Solve KL’s official model question paper to get used to the question style.
- Take full 3-hour timed tests of 75 questions and attempt every question, as there is no negative marking.
Phase I is on 3 to 7 December 2026, so plan to complete the syllabus before then if you want an early attempt.
