How is the merit list prepared?
Your merit rank depends only on your marks in the entrance exam, with a separate list for each course.
- If two or more candidates have equal marks, the tie is broken by date of birth, and then by alphabetical order of names.
- The final merit list, with state rank, is issued after objections on the provisional result are settled.
- Reserved seats are given only to Uttarakhand domicile candidates with a valid certificate from the state government.
Can I get my OMR sheet rechecked?
Yes. If you disagree with the marks shown against your name, you can apply for manual assessment of your OMR sheet within 5 days of the result by paying Rs 2,000. If an error is found, a corrected merit list is issued and the fee is refunded; otherwise it is not refunded.
In 2026 such requests were accepted until 22 July 2026, 5 PM, with a bank draft in favour of the Finance Controller, HNBUMU.

- Check the allotment result for your round and download the allotment letter.
- Report to the allotted college with your original documents by the joining date.
In 2026 three rounds were held: allotment results came on 14 August, 3 September and 8 October, and the last joining date was 14 October 2026. Once you join an allotted college, you cannot get a transfer.
