IIMs Indore IPM Admission 2014
The five-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), the first of its kind in India launched by IIM Indore, is a unique and creative programme to meet the aspirations of young students to become management professionals, change agents and societal leaders.
IPM is aimed at students who have passed out of class XII/Higher Secondary or equivalent from various schools in India. It is widely believed that our ability to influence younger students is greater. Therefore, IIM Indore’s objective is to attract young students, groom and mould them as outstanding leaders through a world class education. IPM, therefore, is a strategic fit in the overall context, vision and mission of IIM Indore.
The IPM, a residential programme, is a unique opportunity for the Institute to make a contribution in this important social space. It is also an exciting option for the young boys and girls to charter their profession in the area of management with a wider scholarly academic background in a social sciences setting.
Eligibility criteria for this programme requires a minimum of 60% aggregate marks at Secondary/X Standard/Equivalent and at Higher Secondary/XII/+2 level/Equivalent for General and NC-OBC category candidates (55% aggregate marks at Secondary/X Standard/ Equivalent and at Higher Secondary/XII/+2 level/Equivalent for SC, ST and PWD / DA candidates). All candidates meeting the minimum eligibility mentioned above will be called for the Aptitude Test.
The shortlist for Personal Interview would be based on the candidate’s performance in the Aptitude Test and the final selection would be based on their performance in Aptitude Test (AT) and Personal Interview (PI). During the tenure of the programme, candidates’ academic performance will be assessed on continuous basis and all those who meet the minimum requirements of the programme will be promoted to the subsequent year of the study. Those who do not meet the minimum requirements of the programme on yearly/term-wise would be advised to leave or repeat the programme. Those candidates who complete all the five years of the study and meet all the academic requirements of the programme will be considered for being awarded an Integrated Diploma in Management (IDM). The programme requirements will be decided by an academic council/committee of the Institute and the same will be shared with the candidates upon their joining the programme.

IIM Indore IPM 2014 Selection Criteria
The candidates will be selected on the basis of overall performance in Aptitude Test, and Personal Interview. The selection process is as follows (note that all dates and timelines are tentative and may be changed as required):
Step 1: The candidates satisfying the minimum eligibility criteria should submit their application in the prescribed format along with attested copies of all relevant documents and non‐refundable application fee of Rs.1000/‐ (Rs 500/‐ in case of SC, ST and DA category) through Demand Draft in favor of Indian Institute of Management Indore Payable at Indore, so as to reach IIM Indore Admissions Office on or before April 4, 2014.The application form is available at www.iimidr.ac.in.
Step2: There will be a two‐stage selection process.
Stage 1: Based on the applications received, candidates satisfying minimum eligibility criteria will be called for the Aptitude Test (AT) to be conducted across 6 centers, viz., Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai and NewDelhi. The date of conducting AT is Thursday, May 15, 2014. The pattern of AT will be as follows:
- AT will be of objective‐type nature. The sample pattern will be uploaded in our website beforehand.
- There will be two broad sections in AT, viz., Quantitative Ability and Verbal Ability.
- There will be 100 questions in total with time duration of two hours (120 minutes).
- Each question will carry 4 marks.
- There will be a negative marking of 1 mark for each wrong answer.
Stage 2: Personal interviews (PIs) will be conducted at 6 centers (as above).Shortlist for PI will be announced on Monday, May 26, 2014. PI will be conducted during Tuesday‐Friday, June 3‐6, 2014 at centers (as above). Weightage for shortlisting for PI (After AT): The candidates will be called in the ratio of 1:10 category‐wise. The following weightage will be applicable based on the AT: 60% Quantitative Ability Section and 40% Verbal Ability Section. It is also to be noted that only those candidates whose raw scores in both the sections are positive will be considered for shortlisting for PI.
Step 3: Final selection will be based on the overall performance of the applicant in AT, and PI. The following weightages will be used to arrive at the composite score for final selection:
- Aptitude Test (AT): 60% (Within test: 60% Quantitative Ability Section and 40% Verbal Ability Section)
- Personal Interview (PI): 40%
IIM Indore will intimate the candidates about their selection on Monday, June 16, 2014. No intimation will be sent to candidates who are not selected.
Step 4: The selected candidates should send their acceptance of admission offeralong with a commitment fee of Rs.1,00,000 to IIM Indore on or before Monday, June 30, 2014. This amount will be adjusted against tuition fees.
Step 5: The candidates will formally register at IIM Indore after fulfilling all the requirements and payment of all necessary fees on Friday, August 1, 2014. Classes will commence on Monday, August 4, 2014.
Note: IIM Indore reserves the right to decide the eligibility conditions in terms of equivalence, percentage marks, and the recognition of the qualifying examination,intake etc.

Fees and Accommodation: Tuition fees for the programme for the first 3 years would be about Rs.3,00,000/- per annum and for next two years it would be about Rs.500,000 per annum. Tuition fees does not include boarding and lodging charges. Accommodation would be organized on the campus on a twin-sharing basis for the first 3 years. Single room accommodation would be made available for the 4th and 5th year of the Programme on campus.
Course Structure: The Programme would consist of 15 terms spread over a period of 5 years with each year having 3 terms of 3 months each. The broad design of the Programme would include education in Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, and Humanities and Social Sciences setting. Accordingly, 40% of the Programme would focus on subjects related to the following areas:

|*||Introduction to Philosophy, Sociology, Psychology, Political Science, Geology, and Geography|
|*||Civilization and History (both India and World)|
|*||Exposure to Natural Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Botany|
|*||Exposure to Languages: (at least one foreign language and one Indian language)|
|*||Exposure to Performing Arts and Fine Arts|
|*||Soft skills: Leadership Development, Personality Development, Team work and Communication|
Second Module would consist of all functional areas of management like Accounting, Finance, Organizational Behaviour, Decision Science, Operations and Services Management, Marketing, Economics, Information Technology, Communication, Legal Aspects of Business, Ethics, Corporate Governance, Corporate Social Responsibility, Business Strategy, International Business and Entrepreneurship. This would account for the next 50% of the course design.
The remaining 10% of the Programme would focus on international exposure and internships in various social organizations in India.
