There is no APJEE exam for 2027 unless the state notifies otherwise. The Directorate of Higher & Technical Education, Arunachal Pradesh, has kept the APJEE (Diploma) entrance test in abeyance since the 2026-27 session. APSCTE now fills polytechnic diploma seats on Class 10 merit, and the 2027-28 registration is expected around April 2027 at apdhte.nic.in.

Is APJEE 2027 being held?
No APJEE exam has been announced for 2027. By a notification dated 11 March 2026, the Directorate of Higher & Technical Education (DHTE) kept the Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (Diploma) in abeyance from the 2026-27 academic session till further orders, and said selection would be made on merit in the qualifying examination.
In 2026 the Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Technical Education (APSCTE) ran online registration and counselling on Class 10 marks, with no written test. The order has not been withdrawn, so 2027-28 admission is likely to follow the same merit route. The last written APJEE was held in 2025.

The 2027-28 schedule is not announced yet, so the dates below are expected months based on the 2026 diploma counselling, when registration ran from 24 April to 30 May 2026.

How to Apply for Arunachal Diploma Admission 2027
You apply online only, at apdhte.nic.in, once APSCTE opens diploma registration. The same portal is used for the merit list, choice filling and seat allotment.
Apply Online for APJEE 2027
Applications for APJEE 2027 are expected in April 2027.
- Open apdhte.nic.in and register with your basic details, mobile number and email. Verify your mobile number with the OTP sent to your mobile or email.
- Log in with your mobile number or email as user ID and your password, then enter the OTP to reach your dashboard.
- Fill in your profile and both your present and permanent address.
- Upload your photo and signature (JPG, 10 to 100 KB) and your documents (PDF), and enter your subject-wise Class 10 marks.
- Confirm your category (APST or Non-APST), preview the form and make the final submission.
- Pay the registration fee online and download the acknowledgement.

These are the 2026 fees, and they are non-refundable. Personal details cannot be changed after you submit, and wrong data can cancel your seat at any stage. For later logins, use your application number, mobile number or email with your password.
Who can apply for Arunachal Pradesh diploma admission 2027?
You can apply if you passed Class 10 from a school in Arunachal Pradesh and belong to one of these groups listed in the 2026 brochure:
- Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST) candidates.
- Children of Non-APST employees of the State Government, the Central Government or a Central Public Sector Undertaking serving in Arunachal Pradesh.
- Others who have been living in Arunachal Pradesh for the last 3 years or more.
For Civil, Computer Science, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics and Mechanical Engineering you need Class 10 with English, Science and Mathematics. Travel & Tourism Management needs only a Class 10 pass. The 2026 brochure does not set a minimum percentage or an age limit.
How is the APJEE 2027 merit list prepared?
APSCTE prepares one common merit list from your total marks in the five best subjects of Class 10.

The 2026-27 merit list was published on 5 June 2026 on apdhte.nic.in. There is no individual scorecard; your rank appears in the merit list.
How many diploma seats are there in Arunachal Pradesh polytechnics?
The 2026 seat matrix lists 510 diploma seats in six government polytechnics. Seats may change with AICTE approval.

Category-II (APST only) gets 80% of seats and Category-I (Open) 20%. Within these, 5% of engineering diploma seats are reserved for PwBD candidates, and PwBD seats left unfilled are converted to general seats.
How does Arunachal diploma seat allotment work?
After registration you fill and lock your choices of course and polytechnic. Choices not locked in time are auto-locked, and if you submit no choices you get no seat.
- Round 1: seats are allotted on merit, category and your locked choices. Choose Freeze and complete admission at the allotted polytechnic, or opt for Float to be considered for a better seat in the next round. A seat you do not freeze and take up is treated as surrendered.
- Round 2: only the seats left vacant after Round 1 are allotted. No fresh registration or change of choices is allowed.
In 2026, Round 1 was declared on 16 June and Round 2 on 3 July 2026. Fill your choices carefully the first time, because you cannot change them later.
What documents do you need for Arunachal diploma admission?
- Photograph and signature, JPG, 10 to 100 KB each (upload)
- Class 10 marks card (upload)
- APST certificate, or for Non-APST candidates a Government employment certificate or a Temporary Residential Certificate issued by a First Class Magistrate in the admission year (upload)
- PwBD certificate, if applicable (upload)
- Originals and two self-attested copies of the Class 10 pass certificate and marksheet, school leaving certificate, character certificate, migration certificate, ST certificate, permanent residential certificate and medical fitness certificate
Keep the originals ready, because you may be asked for them at verification or when you report to the polytechnic.
Where can you find old APJEE question papers?
Past APJEE booklets were a single 2-hour Mathematics and Science paper with 75 questions for 300 marks. They are not needed for merit-based admission, but they still work as Class 10 Maths and Science practice.
