Arunachal Pradesh State Council for Technical Education (APSCTE) is going to conduct the APJEE 2018 for the candidates seeking admission in various Institutions of the State of Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination (APJEE) 2018 will be held for the admission to the various Diploma courses. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the technical/professional courses through the official website i.e. apdhte.nic.in as per the scheduled dates. APJEE 2018

APJEE is conducted by APSCTE which comes under the Directorate of Higher and Technical Education. Only those candidates will be considered for the admission to various technical and professional courses, who will be eligible as per the norms of the conducting body.

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their scores and ranks obtained in the APJEE 2018 entrance examination.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates appearing for the APJEE 2018 must ensure that they will fulfil the eligibility criteria specified by the conducting body i.e. APSCTE. The eligibility criteria for Diploma courses will be as follows:

The children of Arunachal Pradesh Scheduled Tribe (APST), children of NonAPST employees of the State Government, the Central Government & the Central Public Sector Undertakings serving in Arunachal Pradesh and all the others residing in Arunachal Pradesh for the last 3 years or more and who have appeared/passed Class X from any of the schools within Arunachal Pradesh are eligible to appear the APJEE

Age Limit – The age limit for appearing the APJEE in the various courses will be 15 to 18 years as on the date of admission in the particular institution to which the candidate may be nominated.

Academic Qualifications: The minimum academic qualifications for appearing the APJEE in the various Diploma Courses are Passed or Appeared Class X or equivalent from a Govt. recognized Board.

However the upper age limit of SC/ST candidates is relaxable by 3 (three) years. The age limits for examination and eligibility for admission will further be governed by the norms the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Application Process

Eligible candidates need to fill the application form for the APJEE 2018 entrance examination. The application form is now available for the candidates, who want to pursue any of the technical or professional course in the State of Arunachal Pradesh. Candidates can apply through the official website i.e. apdhte.nic.in. as per the scheduled dates only. Candidates will have to fill the correct and complete details along with the payment of application fee and uploading the scanned images of photograph and signature. Candidates must take a printout of the filled-in application form for the future reference.

Exam Pattern

Candidates appearing for the entrance examination need to go through the exam pattern including question-type, language of the exam, marking scheme etc. the following points will enhance the understanding about the examination as given below:

  • The APJEE 2018 entrance examination will be conducted in English only.
  • The type of the questions will be of Objective-type questions with four options for each question.
  • Candidates will score 4 marks for each correct answer and for each wrong answer 1 mark will be deducted from the scores obtained by them.
  • There shall be no deduction for un-attempted question.
  • The duration of the examination will be of 2 hours and consist of 600 marks.
  • The questions for diploma courses will be from Mathematics and Science.

Admit Card

After the successful completion of application form, the candidates will get Admit Card few days before the commencement of the examination. The admit card can be downloaded by entering the User Name and Password from the official website. Candidates need to take a printout of the downloaded admit card for the future reference. The admit card will be an important document for the appearing candidates as without the admit card, the candidates will not be allowed to appear for the examination. The Admit Card shall also be required at the time of nomination of the candidate as well as during admission in the institution and should therefore be preserved carefully.

Declaration of Result

The result will be declared for the candidates  who will appear for the APJEE 2018 entrance examination. The result will be uploaded in the form of a Merit List on the official website apdhte.nic.in. Candidates can check their result by entering their User Name and Password . The result will consist of the scores and ranks obtained by the candidates in the examination. Candidates’ admission to the various Diploma courses will depend on the result of the candidates in the examination. MERIT LIST will be prepared separately for Diploma courses. Two or more candidates securing the same marks in the APJEE will be placed in the same rank. However their inter-se merit shall be determined on the basis of the percentage of marks secured in the qualifying Board / University Examination. Thereafter also, if they are found to have secured equal percentage, their merit shall be decided on the basis of marks secured in the subjects of PCB in case of PCB group. Result once declared will be final and no request for re-examination of answer sheets shall be entertained.

Counselling

The dates regarding the counseling, selection and nomination of candidates shall be made available in the official website of the Directorate i.e. www.apdhte.nic.in and shall also be published in the local dailies of the State. Allotment of seat will be made strictly on the basis of merit list of APJEE. Preference of candidates shall be considered subject to availability of seats in the particular discipline as per his/her Merit position. No candidate, whosoever can, as a matter of right, ask for particular discipline or particular college/institution. If any candidate, after issue of the nomination order, does not join or continue in the Institution and does not complete the prescribed course without sufficient reason, he/she will not be eligible for appearing the subsequent JEEs. A candidate should immediately surrender his/her seat allotted on the basis of his/her performance in the APJEE if he/she does not desire to undergo the course whatsoever the reason may be.

At the time of counseling, the candidates will have to produce the following documents to be eligible for allotment of seats:

  • Original Marks Card/ Pass Certificate of the qualifying examination.
  • Certificate to ascertain the category of the candidate i.e. i. ST Certificate for Cat.-I ii. Employment Certificate from respective employers or Domicile Certificate issued by First Class Magistrate during 2018 for Cat.- II.

Candidates are also advised to keep the following documents, (in original along with 03 (Three) sets of photocopies of these documents attested by a Gazetted Officer ready for submission at the time of obtaining Nomination Letter:

  • Pass Certificate of the Qualifying Examination.
  • Mark-sheet of the Qualifying Examination.
  • School Leaving/ Transfer Certificate
  • Class X Pass Certificate for verification of age
  • Character/ Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended
  • Migration Certificate
  • SC/ST Certificate
  • Parents’ Employment Certificate from the appointing authority or Domicile Certificate issued by First Class Magistrate during 2018 for Category-II.
  • Permanent Residential Certificate
  • Medical Fitness Certificate
  • Admit Card of APJEE 2018

General Instructions for the Candidates

  1. Candidates will have to fill the correct and complete information in the application form as incomplete forms will be rejected by the conducting body.
  2. Candidates must take a printout of the admit card before the last date of downloading it.
  3. Candidates must also take a pinout of the result which will be required at the time of counselling.
  4. Candidates will be required to appear at the scheduled timings and dates for the counselling process and allotment of seats.

Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic (Formerly Arunachal Pradesh Polytechnic) has been set up under the Technician Education Project-III of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India with the financial assistance from World Bank.
