CFA is also known as Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). The CFA program is offered by CFA Institute. Institute functions with high goals of leading the investment profession globally with its efforts directed through promoting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence. The admissions to this program are decided through conducting an entrance examination. The CFA Program includes a series of three exams; Levels I, II, and III. The exams are offered on annual basis at test centers around the world in June. However, Level I exam is also offered in December.
CFA Level 1, 2, 3
CFA Institute offers programmes like- CFA, CIPM, Investment Foundations Program etc. The admissions to these programs are decided through conducting entrance examinations. The CFA Program includes a series of three exams Levels- I, II, and III. CFA exam is held in December and June. December’s session will end by January 2018, and 2018’s next exam will be conducted in June 2018.
Candidates will first of all create their account. The first step will be to provide a valid email id. After that, a form will appear on your computer screen containing spaces for the details such as Name- first name/ last name, Email id- pre-filled, choosing a password and entering security question. If details are filled correctly, then your account will be created within 5 seconds.
Candidates will then proceed through the 12 staged form filling process.

CFA December 2017 – Level 1
Candidates will be required to pass a test which will have 240 multiple choice question divided into two sessions. Both sessions will be of 3 hours and mandatory for candidates. Each session will have 120 questions. There will be no negative marking.
As to talk about the current events, the applications are closed. All deadlines have passed. Previously, change of test centres requests were entertained till 09 October 2017. The exam will take place and result will be declared.

The issue of CFA Level I Admission Ticket for Dec 2017 is started as per the schedule above. Candidates must carefully check the printed details on it such as Your CFA Institute ID number, The last four characters of your passport number, candidate’s name, passport expiration date, date, and location of the test centre etc.
Result of CFA Level I December 2017
After the exam is conducted successfully, the result of CFA Level I December 2017 will be declared on the login account of the candidate. The result declaration is scheduled to be announced within the span of December 2017–January 2018. Every year around 43% of the appearing candidates pass the December CFA Level I entrance examination. Exam results and topic area wise performance details of the candidates are available online for a period of 1 year after the exam date.
CFA June 2018 – Level 1, 2, 3
The CFA June 2018 Level I, II, III Exam is scheduled to be conducted on 23 June 2018. The applications are now closed, they were accepted only till 20 September 2017. Candidates were required to fill up a 12 staged application form including fee payment. Candidates will be required to pass a test to be conducted on 23 June 2018. You can expect 240 MCQs divided in two sessions. Both sessions are usually of 3 hours and mandatory for candidates. Each session will have 120 questions each. There shall be no negative marking. CFA Level 1 Exam Details
The Level I exam will consist of 240 multiple choice questions, divided among two 3-hour sessions. Candidates must attend both sessions. Level I is basically meant to test a candidate’s knowledge of the ethical and professional standards. The question paper consists of questions based on conceptual knowledge and comprehension focused on investment tools.
- Morning session (3 hours)- 120 MCQs
- Afternoon session (3 hours)- 120 MCQs
On an average, candidates should spend around 90 seconds for each multiple choice question. There will be NO NEGATIVE MARKING for incorrect answers.
