Jain Entrance Test (JET) Application Form

Candidates who wish to study at Jain University Bangalore, whether UG or PG program, needs to apply online. Application form is available at www.jainuniversity.ac.in. The application process simple. It involves following steps.

  • Enter name, nationality, mobile number, email ID. This creates new registration.
  • Now you can check email ID for application number.
  • Use these details to log in.
  • You must enter all details in Jain University online application form 2018.
  • Also you will upload documents.
  • Use the one click payment gateway to pay application fee.

Keep application number safely for future reference. You will require it at time of downloading admit card if that releases online, and for result.

Jain Entrance Test (JET) Eligibility

The eligibility criteria comprised of some norms or conditions which must be satisfied by all the candidates. If even a single instruction is NOT satisfied, the candidates will NOT be considered for the Jain University admission. If one is ineligible and still applied for the Exam of JET 2017, he or she will be identified in the verification round and will be rejected. The fee submitted by such candidates may also be forfeited.

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech): In order to be eligible for the B.Tech Program, students must have passed in PCMB / PCMC / PCME in PUC or ISC / CBSE or equivalent board. Only candidates who have achieved 60% and above PUC/SYJC/12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply for B.Tech Program. In case of SC/ST, eligibility will be relaxed to the extent of 5%. Candidates who have completed 12th or equivalent exams or final year students of class XII or its equivalent, awaiting examination results may also apply.

Undergraduate Programmes (UG): In order to be eligible for the Bachelors Program, students must have completed their PUC/SYJC/12th or equivalent exam as certified by Govt. body standard in respective discipline. Only candidates who have achieved 60% and above PUC/SYJC/12th or equivalent exam are eligible to apply for Undergraduate Program. In case of SC/ST, eligibility will be relaxed to the extent of 5%.

Post Graduate Programmes (PG): An aggregate of 50% in bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent (10+2+3) without any backlogs are eligible to apply for Post graduate programs. For Executive programs work experience is required. Students appearing in their final semester/year exams are also eligible to apply. Students with composite score of 500 in GMAT/MAT or with minimum 70 percentile in CAT/XAT/CMAT may also apply. Students without valid entrance test score will have to write JET (Jain Entrance Test) conducted by Jain University to get eligible for PG programs.

Jain Entrance Test (JET) Exam Pattern

Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) will consist of 4 sections (total 120 marks).

  • Section 1: English – 30 marks.
  • Section 2: Physics – 30 marks.
  • Section 3: Chemistry – 30 marks.
  • Section 4: Mathematics – 30 marks.

Undergraduate Programmes (UG) will consist of 4 sections (total 100 marks) followed by group discussion & personal interview.

  • Section 1: Essay writing – 20 marks. Standard Essay Writing Skills.
  • Section 2: Subject based questions – 20 marks.
  • Section 3: Basic mathematics -20 marks. Please refer to the 12 standard mathematics syllabus. Topics to be covered will be Average, Simple/Compound Interest, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Ratio & Proportion, Time & Distance, Stocks & Shares, etc.
  • Section 4: Current affairs concerned to your topic – 40 marks. Under this section refer to standard Business Magazines, Newspapers on National & International Current Affairs.

Group Discussion (GD): The GD is one of the vital components of the selection procedure and it is a formal exercise that facilitates the exchange of ideas on a given subject or topic. The GD is a powerful tool for assessing personality traits, leadership qualities and attitudes.

Personal Interview: The final rung of the ladder involves a personal interview. Candidates who have emerged successful from the other levels will be called to attend a personal interview with the Admission Committee.

Post Graduate Programmes (PG) will consist of 4 sections (total 100 marks); followed by group discussion & personal interview.
