MAH M.Ed CET 2027: Dates, Application, Eligibility

MAH M.Ed CET 2027 is the online entrance test held by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra for admission to the two-year M.Ed course in Maharashtra colleges for 2027-28. Dates are not announced yet. Going by 2026, registration is expected to open in January 2027 and the exam to be held in March 2027.

Latest (30 September 2026): State CET Cell has started work on the CET 2027-28 question papers, including MAH-M.Ed CET, by inviting subject experts. The 2027 exam dates are not announced yet.

State CET Cell has not released the 2027 schedule, so the months below are expected from 2026, when registration opened on 5 January, the exam was held on 25 March and the result came out on 20 May 2026.

How to Apply for MAH M.Ed CET 2027

You apply online only, through the candidate portal linked from cetcell.mahacet.org. In 2026 registration ran from 5 January to 27 February 2026 after three extensions, and an edit window from 5 to 7 March 2026 let candidates correct details and finish paying the fee.

Applications for MAH M.Ed CET 2027 are expected in January 2027.

Update your Aadhaar details and create your APAAR ID through DigiLocker if you do not have one. APAAR ID was mandatory for CET registration in 2026.
Open cetcell.mahacet.org, go to the MAH-M.Ed CET 2027 registration link and click New Registration. Enter your name, mobile number and email ID.
Note the provisional registration number and password shown on screen. They are also sent to you by SMS and email.
Fill in your personal, academic and category details, choose your preferred exam centre and upload your photo and signature.
Preview the form and click Final Submit, then pay the fee online and print the form with the e-receipt. You need both again at admission.

The fee below is from the 2026 brochure. It is non-refundable, and the 2027 fee will be confirmed in the new brochure.

How to log in to the MAH M.Ed CET 2027 candidate portal?

You log in to the State CET Cell candidate portal to fill and edit the application and pay the fee, download your hall ticket, see the question paper and answer key in the objection tracker, and download your result and score card.

Open the official State CET Cell website and click the candidate login for MAH-M.Ed CET 2027. The 2027 login will open with registration, expected in January 2027.
First-time users click New Registration and enter their name, mobile number and email ID to get a registration number and password.
To sign in, enter your registration number and password.
Your dashboard opens with your application and payment status, and the links live at that stage, such as the hall ticket before the exam and the score card after the result.

Who can apply for MAH M.Ed CET 2027?

You can apply if you are an Indian citizen with a teacher-education qualification and the minimum marks below. The rules are from the 2026 brochure.

One of these: B.Ed; BA-B.Ed or BSc-B.Ed (four-year integrated); B.El.Ed; or D.El.Ed with an undergraduate degree (50% in each course).
At least 50% marks, or 45% for Maharashtra backward class candidates (SC, ST, VJ/DT-NT, OBC, SBC) with caste validity and non-creamy layer certificates.
Candidates from outside Maharashtra (OMS) need 50% marks in every category.
Students in the final year of the qualifying course can take the CET, but must show the passing certificate and all mark lists at admission.
NRI, OCI, PIO and foreign national candidates do not take the CET. They apply directly in the admission rounds.

What is the MAH M.Ed CET 2027 exam pattern?

MAH M.Ed CET is a 90-minute online test of 100 multiple-choice questions for 100 marks. Each question has four options and carries 1 mark, there is no negative marking, and questions are given in English and Marathi.

Will MAH M.Ed CET be held in 2027?

State CET Cell listed MAH-M.Ed CET among its CETs for 2027-28 in a circular of 30 September 2026 inviting paper setters. Its 2026 brochure also noted that NCTE may phase out the regular two-year M.Ed in favour of the three-year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed, so check the 2027 notice when it comes.

Which colleges admit students through MAH M.Ed CET?

Government colleges of education, government-aided and minority colleges, university departments, university-managed institutes and unaided colleges offering M.Ed in Maharashtra. For 2026-27 the CAP portal listed 53 approved colleges with 2,772 seats.

Is MAH M.Ed CET the same as the MAH B.Ed-M.Ed CET?

No. MAH M.Ed CET is for the two-year M.Ed after a B.Ed or equivalent. The MAH B.Ed-M.Ed CET is a separate test for the three-year integrated course, held on 9 April in 2026.

Can one application cover both B.Ed CET and M.Ed CET?

No. Each CET has its own form, and a form filled for one course is not considered for another. The hall ticket is generated only for the course you applied for.

Is there an exam centre outside Maharashtra?

No. In 2026 the CET was held only at selected district centres in Maharashtra, and requests to change the centre, venue or date were not accepted.
