UPCATET 2027 is not expected to have an official answer key. The UPCATET brochure has no provisional key or objection window, and no official key for 2026 was posted on upcatetexam.org; results are declared directly. You can estimate your score from coaching solutions using the +4 and -1 marking.

The status of the UPCATET official answer key, how to check your answers after the exam and how to work out your score.
How to Check Your UPCATET 2027 Answers
- Right after the exam, write down the answers you remember. You hand back both the question booklet and the OMR sheet at the end, so do this from memory.
- After the exam, look for solved paper videos and answer keys that coaching teachers post for your group (PCB, PCM, PAG or PHS).
- Match your answers and mark each one as correct, wrong or not attempted.
- Work out your score with the marking scheme below.
Coaching keys are unofficial and can have errors. Your actual marks appear only in the result.
Can I challenge the UPCATET answer key?
No. The UPCATET 2026 information brochure has no answer key objection process, and it says answer sheets are not rechecked or re-evaluated. Exam records are kept for only six months.
- No response sheet or OMR copy is given to candidates.
- If the university publishes an answer key for 2027, it will be on upcatetexam.org and this page will add the dates.
How to Calculate Your UPCATET Score
Each correct answer gives 4 marks and each wrong answer takes away 1 mark. Questions you leave blank get zero.
- Score = (4 x correct answers) – (1 x wrong answers).
- UG and Master’s papers have 200 questions, so the maximum is 800 marks.
- Ph.D. and MBA papers have 100 questions, so the maximum is 400 marks.
- Example: 140 correct and 30 wrong in the UG paper gives 560 – 30 = 530 marks.
To qualify you need at least 10% of the maximum marks (General and OBC) or 5% (SC and ST), which is 80 or 40 marks out of 800. Practise scoring with the UPCATET previous year papers.
