Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board looks after all processes involved in Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination 2017 (JCECE 2017) which will be held on May 2017. JCECE 2017 is for all eligible candidates who are citizen of India and Local / Permanent Resident of Jharkhand for admission in 1st year / semester of following Degree level courses in academic session 2017-18.The JCECE 2017- is an entry level entrance exam which is conducted by JCECE board as assigned by the Government of Jharkhand. The candidates who are interested can fill the form but before they do that, they must check all the details regarding form filling.

Admit Card was available for download after the application process got over. JCECE Result 2017 is being announced online at jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in. Students who appeared for JCECE 2017 on Jun 2017 can know result by logging in to official website’s result page.
Thereafter, using rank obtained as indicated in result of JCECE 2017, students can participate in counselling for admission and seat allotment.

JCECE 2017 Eligibility Criteria
The candidate must have passed 12th class or equivalent with at least 45% marks for GENERAL category and 40 % for all the reserved category. In addition to that the candidates will be required to show that they had Mathematics , Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
Note – *means Appearing in or Pass out.
There is no age limit for applying to courses for B.E/B.Tech. there will be no other criteria for age limit other than this for this particular course.
The applicant must be a citizen of India and Local/Permanent resident of Jharkhand. The policy determination for issuing Local Resident certificate for admission in Educational Institutes has been laid down in the notification Memo No. 5/vividh -09/2001(Domicile) Ka. 2691/Ranchi dated 29/4/02 of “Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasa Department”, Govt. of Jharkhand. The Notification copy ts available on the home page of Board’s website under Downloads column. A candidate will have to submit/ show Permanent or Local Resident certificate in proper format in ORIGINAL at the time of counselling, issued by competent authority Sub Divisional Officer – (Civil) or Dy. Commissioner of Jharkhand State) The Residentail certificate issued by any other authority will not be considered and his / her claim will be refused.
JCECE Exam Schedule
Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination J.C.E.C.E.) – 2017 will be conducted as per schedule. The subject-wise timing & duration of examination are as follows:-
- Biology – 09.00 am to 10.00 am (1 hr)
- Physics & Chemistry – 10.15 am to 12.15 pm (2 hr)
- Mathematics – 12.30 pm to 1.300 pm (1 hr)
The Group-wise timing is as follows:
- PCM Group – 10.15 am to 01.30 pm
- PCB Group – 09.00 am to 12.15 pm
- PCMB Group – 09.00 am to 01.30 pm

Scoring and Marking
- Each question carries 1 mark. For each correct response the candidate will get 1 mark. For each incorrect response, 1/4 marks will be deducted from the total score. No deduction from the total score will, however, be made if no response is indicated for a question in the answer sheet. The candidates are advised not to attempt such question in answer sheet, if they are not sure of the correct response. More than one answer indicated a question will be deemed as incorrect response and will be negatively marked.
- For the purpose of evaluation, the Question Booklet code as printed in the OMR Answer Sheet on side-2 will be accepted as final.
Language of the Question Papers
Question Paper consists of both English and in Hindi language.
In case of any ambiguity in translation of any of the questions, its English version shall be treated as final.
- The candidates who will fill the complete application form for appearing into the entrance exam will get the choice of picking their exam centre as per their choice.
- The students will get two choices out of the following options Ranchi, Dhanbad, Dumka, Jamshedpur, Hazaribagh and Bokaro.
- The candidates can chose the city option to appear for the exam and they will have to report at the selected venue by them on time. The candidates may notice that however they get to choose the city according to their preference but the final decision to
- The candidates are advised to visit the test centre one day prior the test day as to get familiar with the routes and travelling time that will be consumed to reach the exam centre.
- Please note that the board will not pay the travelling expenses to students. It will be the sole responsibility of the candidates if they reach the exam centre late or they miss their examination.
- You are advised to see that you bring all the mentioned documents that might be required for identity proof verification.
Subject Groups for JCECE 2017
P.C.M. Group – A candidate who has passed/appearing in I.Sc / 10+2 or equivalent examination with subjects Physics, Chemistry and Matbernatics and is interested in appearing in the Competitive Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathcmarics, then he/she will be called PCM Group and He/She will have to give answer the question of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in the exarrunanon.
JCECE 2017 Admit Card
The candidates are informed that the admit cards for JCECE will be available one week before the exam. The candidates can visit the official website for this purpose.
The admit card contains the information such as the name of the candidate, date of birth, roll number, father’s name, category, SMQ, Ph, photograph etc. The candidates are required to notice all the details before they print their admit card. The admit cards can be downloaded one week before the exam. The candidates are required to check the site regularly for the latest info regarding the issuance of the admit card for JCECE 2017. No admit card will be sent by post to any individual. Therefore no request shall be entertained. If there is any discrepancy discovered in the JCECE Admit Card 2017, the candidates shall immediately inform the board. The candidates must do the same at least two days before the exam as it may take time to solve your query within the stipulated time.
JCECE 2017 Result
The candidates who have appeared for the exam for JCECE will be able to download the result from the official website. The candidates are informed that according to the schedule as mentioned by the board the result will be announced by the 4th week of May 2017. However, the dates are tentative, therefore the results may be announce da day earlier or later than the mentioned date. The candidates are advised to check the site on regular basis. Moreover, the candidates will also be able to check their result from aglasem as well. We will make a link available for you to check the pdf file when the results are uploaded. Counseling for JCECE 2017
There will be a counselling which will be held after the result has been published for the students who are found to be suitable for admission and those who fulfill all the eligibility criteria as set by the board. The candidate will have to pay a sum of money to attend the counseling and chisse his/her course and stream. The fees is as follows. The candidates who belong to General category and BC-I and BC-II will pay the amount of Rs. 650 and the candidate swho belong to SC/ST and Female candidates will be required to pay the sum of Rs. 400. The fees can be paid through bank challan and through IPO as well.
The counseling will be done in two rounds for the admission into B.E/B.Tech course.
After the exam result has been published online on the website, the candidate s will be shortlisted and their names will be displayed in a merit list which will be prepared as their ranks and marks in the test. All the information regarding the details of the counselling to begin will be circulated through the newspapers published in Jharkhand. During the counselling process, the candidates will get the choice of selecting their course as per their rank and the seats available in the course. Once the candidate has made his decision the officials will check the original documents of the candidates. The candidate must comply to the verification process. If the candidate stages any effort to circumvent the proceedings of the admission process or if it is discovered that the documents are not original, the candidate will be disqualified from the admission process.
Then the students selected in the first round will go through a second counselling which will only be conducted if there are still any vacant seats left for the course. If the candidate who has already taken admission into the course in first counselling and wishes to change his course or stream he/she may participate in the second round of the counselling to change the course and stream as desired.
