GNDU Admission 2021 – Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), Amritsar, has released the GNDU admission prospectus for the eligible candidates on the official website i.e gnduadmissions.org. Candidates need to register with the personal, basic details, after doing so, the login id and password is generated. After successful filling of application form, the GNDU admit card is uploaded for the students. The allocation of seats and admission is based on the merit obtained in GNDU entrance test. The performance of the candidate in the interview is also taken into consideration. After the declaration of GNDU result. the counselling is held at national / state level for the candidates. GNDU Admission 2021
Candidates should note that they have to fill separate application form for each course, if they are applying for course, that are not mentioned in GNDU groups. The GNDU Admission 2021 process consists of the three stages, which include entrance test, merit based counselling and an interview. GNDU Admissions 2021 Application Form
Interested candidates may register online at gnduadmissions.org. by depositing the Non-refundable registration fee. Online registration can be made by filling the necessary information in the form and payment of the non-refundable registration fee for each course for which admission is sought. Subsequent to registration, the application form may be filled using login details.

Important Note: For B.Tech. (based on JEE)/B.Arch. (based on NATA score) courses, a one-time registration fee of Rs. 2200/- shall be charged. However, one-time registration fee for Foreign/NRI students shall be $500 (USD).
Mode of Payment: The registration fee for each course may be paid through any branch of HDFC Bank or through online mode (Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking) or through cash mode at University counters following the instructions during registration.

The detailed eligibility criteria for GNDU Admissions 2021, is provided below.
Faculty of Agriculture & Forestary
- Candidates should have passed Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) in Medical or Non-Medical subject with at least 50% marks(45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
Faculty of Arts & Social Science
- The students should have qualified Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) in any subject or Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons. School) can register.
- Candidates who have qualified Bachelor of Arts in any subject with at least 50% mark (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate can apply
- The candidates who have done their Bachelor of Arts in any subject at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the subject of History/Sociology/Public Administration can apply.
- Students who have done Bachelor of Arts in any subject at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in the subject of History/Sociology/Public Administration can register.
Faculty of Economics & Business
- Candidates who have completed their Senior Secondary Examination (12th Grade) with at least 50% marks in aggregate can apply.
- Any other examination recognized equivalent thereto by GNDU, Amritsar.
Faculty of Education
A Graduate in any discipline/stream with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) from recognized Indian University with B.Ed.
OR
Students who have studied Education or Philosophy or Sociology or Psychology as elective subject in Graduation with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
OR
A Graduate in any discipline with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST).
Faculty of Engineering &Technology
BBA/B.com./B.Sc.(Hons.)Economics or Graduate in any stream with Mathematics/Statistics/ Computer Sciences/Computer Applications/IT/Computer Maintenance/Quantitative Techniques as one of the elective subjects with 50% marks(45% for SC/ST) in aggregate or any equivalent Degree thereto
OR
Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with 50% marks(45% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Mathematics as an elective subject at +2 level.
University Institute of Technology
- Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
- Any other examination recognized equivalent thereto.
Faculty of Humanities & Religious Studies
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
- Bachelor of Arts with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST) in Punjabi/History/ Philosophy/ Sociology/Religious Studies/Hindi/English/Political Science.
- Any other examination recognized equivalent thereto.
Faculty of Languages
B.A. (Honours School) in English with 45% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates), OR any other Bachelor‘s Degree with 50% marks aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).
Faculty of Life Sciences
- Bachelor‘s Degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological, Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-years B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course); OR Medicine (MBBS) OR B.D.S. with at least 50% marks (for SC/ST 45% marks).
- The candidates who have passed the qualifying examination or appearing in 2021 are eligible to apply.
Faculty of Physical Education
A candidate who has passed any one of the following examinations shall be eligible to join the course:
- Candidates with at least 50% marks in senior secondary examination (10+2) or its equivalent (recognized by the University), are eligible for admission. For those who are position holders (1st, 2nd& 3rd) in State Level Sports/Games and those who have participated in the National level Sports/Games competitions which are recognized by the Indian Olympic Association, the minimum percentage of the marks in the senior secondary examination (10+2) shall be at least 45%.
- Every candidate shall be required to appear in physical fitness test, as per events mentioned*. Candidate failing in physical fitness test shall not be considered for admission. Physical Fitness test qualifying pass percentage is 50%.
The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the central government/state government, whichever is applicable.
Faculty of Physical Planning & Architecture
- No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/ he has passed an examination at the end of the 10+2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics and also at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate of the 10+2 level examination or passed 10+3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
- The candidate should have a valid NATA score.
Faculty of Sciences
- Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) in any science subject with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
- Any other examination recognized equivalent thereto.
Faculty of Sports Medicine & Physiotherapy
- Senior Secondary Examination (12th grade) with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate.
- Any other examination recognized equivalent thereto.
Faculty of Visual & Performing Arts
Bachelor Degree in any stream with minimum 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate. OR
Bachelor of Arts with minimum 45% marks in the subject of Music (Vocal/Instrumental) (Elective). OR
Bachelor of Performing Arts (B.P.A.)/B.Mus. with minimum 45% marks or any other examination equivalent to.
GNDU Admissions 2021 Admit card
Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU), releases the GNDU admit card for all those who have filled the application form and paid the application fee succesfully. The admit card or GNDU is displayed on the official website i.e gnduadmissions.org. To download the same, you need to login with user id and password. The GNDU admit card is an important entity, as candidates carrying the same, are only allowed to enter the test center premises.
The GNDU admit card consists of important details like name of candidate, roll number, test centre name and timings, reporting time, date and instructions for the student.
GNDU Admissions 2021 Result
Guru Nanak Dev University releases GNDU merit list i.e result 2021 a few days, after the successful conduction of the examination. To download the same, you need to login with user id and password on gnduadmissions.org. The result is provided in the PDF format, and consists of name, grade, marks obtained subjectwise, percentage etc.
Tie-breaking:
In case of two or more candidates obtaining equal marks in the Entrance test, the inter-se-merit of such candidates shall be determined in order of preference as follows:
(a) Candidates obtaining higher marks in the qualifying exam
(b) Candidates older in age to be preferred. However, for admission in B.Arch. course see instructions given in the profile of the Department of Architecture.
GNDU Admission 2021 Reservation Criteria
GNDU, has levied a government approved reservation policy of state of Punjab for the benefit of the following categories. The candidates need to upload a proof of their claim,while filling the application form itself.

GNDU Admissions 2021 Interview/Counselling
All candidates being admitted through an entrance test or otherwise shall be required to appear for interview/counselling before the Co-coordinator of admission/interview panel/Board of Control of the Department concerned on a date and time as given in admission schedule.
If the number of qualifying candidates is more than the seats available, the Co-coordinator/Head shall have the right to call only a limited number of candidates in order of merit in the Entrance Test.
Personal appearance of the candidate in counselling is mandatory for admission.The selected students will have to deposit their fee within two working days or as notified during counseling after the admission slip is issued failing which their seats will be declared vacant and will be allotted to the candidates next on the waiting list. However, the students selected for B.Tech./B.Arch. Courses will have to deposit their fee on the spot at the time of counseling
Candidates appearing in interview/counseling shall carry with them original Degrees/Diplomas/reserved category certificates for verification. Each candidate shall bring the following certificates/documents in original and their self attested photocopies along with a hard copy (a printed version of the online application) at the time of counseling:
- Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate bearing testimony to date of birth
- Detailed marks card of the qualifying examination
- Character certificate from the Principal of the college/school last attended
- Two recent passport size photographs duly attested by the Principal of the College/School last attended/gazetted officer. Photographs must be pasted on the form with glue (Please do not use staple pins)
- Reservation certificate as applicable.
- Residence certificate wherever applicable.
Candidates who have passed qualifying examination from University/institution other than GNDU shall be required to submit migration and eligibility certificate after admission as per University rules.
For B.Tech./B.Arch. courses the following documents in original need to be produced by the candidate at the time of counseling:
- Hard copy (printed version) of the online application form filled by the candidate in triplicate along with three sets of attested photocopies of the following documents.
- Detailed marks sheet of +2 or equivalent examination
- Matriculation or equivalent examination certificate bearing testimony to date of birth
- Reservation certificate as applicable
- Residence certificate
- Character certificate from the Principal of the college/school last attended.
- JEE(Main)-2021 Admit Card
- JEE(Main)-2021 Score/Rank Card
- Valid NATA Score(for B.Arch. course only)
- Two recent passport size photographs duly attested by the Principal of the College/School last attended.
- Migration and Eligibility Certificate in case of candidates from other University/Boards
GNDU Admissions 2021 Selection Procedure
For L.LB., BA.L.LB. (Five Year) courses, admission will be done as per notification issued by Punjab Govt.
For Bachelor Degree courses, candidates can submit a single form for applying in more than one course within a group giving the names of the courses in the order of priority.
Group-(i) M.Sc. (FYIC)(USHS) Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics/ Human Genetics/ Zoology,B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture/Botany, B.Sc. Medical Lab (MLT)/ B.Tech (Comp. Engg.)/ B.Pharmacy.
Group-(ii) M.C.A. (FYIC), M.B.A. (FYIC), B.Sc. (Hons.) Economics, Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM), Bachelor of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (BHMCT), M.Com (FYIC), B.Com (Hons.) However, the candidate who wishes to apply for the course in Group (i), (ii) & other courses separate applications shall be submitted.
For Post Graduate courses and other courses, candidates who wish to apply in more than one course shall have to submit separate forms.
