Official Notification for Delay in IGNOU B.Ed 2020
NTA had to release IGNOU B.Ed 2020 application form and notification on January 31, 2020. However, it has been delayed. In the recently released notification, NTA has announced that Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) MBA and other admission test dates will be intimated later on. IGNOU B.Ed 2020 Exam Pattern
For better preparation of the entrance exam, candidates must know the pattern of the exam. Check the exam pattern of B.Ed from below:
Mode of the exam – The exam is held in computer-based mode (online mode).
Duration – The duration of the exam is 2 hours.
Types of Questions – The questions are of MCQ type.
Total Marks – The exam is of total 100 marks.
Medium of Paper – The medium of question paper is in English and Hindi Only.

IGNOU B.Ed 2020 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates can check below the eligibility criteria to appear in IGNOU B.Ed 2020:
- Candidates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Sciences / Social Sciences / Commerce / Humanity with minimum 50% marks. OR
- Must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks.
Note – candidates of the reserved categories are given 5% marks. The reserved category candidates include – SC/ST/OBC (Non creamy layer)/PWD candidates.
Candidates who fulfil the given below criteria are also eligible to apply for B.Ed –
- Candidate must be trained in-service teachers in elementary education.
- Candidates must have completed an NCTE recognized teacher education program through face-to-face mode.
IGNOU B.Ed 2020 Application Form
The candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria can apply online for IGNOU B.Ed 2020. To access the application form, candidates need to enter their details and have to upload their images in the prescribed format. Candidates can submit their details by paying the application fee. Application form other than online mode will not be accepted by the NTA.

IGNOU B.Ed 2020 Admit Card
The candidates who apply for the entrance exam and are registered for the same are issued the IGNOU B.ED 2020 Admit Card to appear in the entrance exam. In the admit card candidates can check the Centre, Date, and Shift of the Examination. With a printed copy of the admit card, the candidates can enter the exam centre and appear for the exam.
The IGNOU B.ED 2020 Admit Card is available in the online mode only under the login of the candidates. No, admit card is sent to the candidates via post or email. Apart from the exam centre, date and shift the candidates have to look for the information of the admit card like your Name, Subject Group, Date of Birth, Gender, Examination Centre Name, City, and Category.

IGNOU B.Ed 2020 Entrance Exam Answer Key
NTA uploads the Question paper, responses attempted by the candidates and the draft Answer Key. Using answer key and question paper candidates can calculate their score. By cross-checking the answers and accroding to the marking scheme they can predict their score.
In case of candidates are statisfied with the answer key, they can challenge the answer on the official website. Candidates are required to pay online a sum of Rs. 1000/- (one thousand only) as processing fee for each question challenged. The processing fee will be refunded if the challenge is found correct. No challenge shall be entertained without receipt of processing fee.
IGNOU B.Ed 2020 Result
NTA releases the result of B.Ed entrance exam in the online on the official website. Candidates can download it by entering the application number and password. The result is released in the form of the scorecard. After that, IGNOU will release the list of the selected candidates on the basis of the performance in the entrance exam.
Preparation of merit list for admission:
The preparation of the final merit list for admission is done by IGNOU and not NTA. The merit list is prepared nodal Regional Centre (RC) wise. The admission shall be only based on the ranks of the candidates in the merit list.

- Also, they have to attach the self-attested copy of documents as specified in the Admission Form.
- The original documents are then verified later at the time of admission.

The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program of Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has been designed with the aim to develop an understanding of the teaching-learning process at an upper primary/secondary and senior-secondary level among student teachers.
