Karnataka PGCET 2014 Application Form

Candidates applying for PGCET 2014 should apply only through the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).

Applications are invited from the eligible interested Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates for admission to 1st year / 1st semester full time / part time M.E. / M. Tech. / M. Arch courses in the institutions affiliated Universities which will be notified by the Government of Karnataka for the year 2014-15. Candidates have to appear for the Post Graduate Common Entrance Test -2014 conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority to become eligible for admission to these courses as per the provisions of the Karnataka Selection of Candidates forAdmission to Master of Engineering (ME) and Master of Technology (M.Tech) courses, Rules, 2005.

The link to fill Karnataka PGCET 2014 Application Form is given at the end of the page. Candidates must read all the instructions carefully before applying. Form filling has commenced from 30 June, 2014. Last date to submit form online is 10 July.

NOTE to GATE Candidates

The candidates with valid GATE score should compulsorily enter application online to become eligible for admission to M.E. / M. Tech / M. Arch courses, but they need not appear for PGCET-2014.

Academic Eligibility

The details of academic eligibility for all the above courses are available on the KEA website http://kea.kar.nic.in. The candidates are advised to verify the eligibility criteria before applying to any of the courses.

How to Apply?

Step 1: Enter all the details ONLINE by browsing URL on web http://kea.kar.nic.in by selecting “PGET-2014″. After completion of entry of all the details candidate’s will receive an application ID and Password to their registered email address and also the same information will be displayed on the screen.

Step 2: Upload the scanned copy of recent passport size Colour Photo and Signature in JPG format separately.

Step 3: Take the printout of the Challan copy which is in Duplicate/Triplicate. Candidates have to pay an amount of Rs. 650/- for General and OBC (Rs.500/- for SC / ST Category – lonly for Karnataka candidates). The candidates have to pay the requisite fee in any of the branch of State Bank of Mysore. Further, candidates residing in Karnataka can also pay in E-payment Post offices. The Post Office will retain Post Office copy of the Challan and handover the Candidate cope of the Challan to the candidates.

Step 4: Take a printout of the application form on A-4 Size paper. Affix candidate’s recent Passport size Photo, signature, Left Hand Thumb Impression on the space provided. Afterwards obtain Principal seal and signature from the college where you have studied final BE / B.Tech or QE on the space provided in the printed form. The same copy should be produced during document verification along with the copy of the Challan.

Note: Candidates should note down their application ID and Password until the completion of filling of the online application. Candidate has to enter all the required details in the form, failing which their application will not be considered. Applications without Photo and signature will not be considered as valid. Candidates are not allowed to edit their application after taking the printout.

Step by Step Instructions for Online Application

Click New Application button for fresh application and carefully fill Personal Details, Postal Address Details,Academic Exam Details,Program Details, etc., Enter the Security Code & click NEXT button to go to Preview page.On successful submission of the above details , you will receive your PGCET ID and Password through an automated E-Mail on your registered e-mail address which you can use to upload your further details or edit your information.

In the Preview page Click Edit Application button to change any details in your Application if required. After verifying the details in your application to be correct, click NEXT button to upload your Scanned Passport Size Photo and Scanned Signature separately.

Note :

  • Unless you upload your photo and signature, your Application will not be considered.
  • Once you click Next button you cannot change any details in your Application.

Click Browse button to select Your already Scanned Passport Size Photo , Scanned Signature & Click Submit button to get the preview of your photo and signature. Repeat this step again if you have uploaded an incorrect photo or signature, else click Next button to proceed to next page.

Click SBM Challan (or) Post Office Challan button to take the printout of SBM Bank / Post Office Challan which you have to take it to the nearest State Bank of Mysore Bank(Anywhere in India) / (or) / e-payment Post Office(Only in Karnataka) and pay the Application Fee + (20 Rs) Service Charges as prescribed.

  • Rs.650/- for categories GM, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B
  • Rs.500/- for categories SC, ST, CAT-1(Only For Karnataka Candidates)

Last date to submit Karnataka PGCET 2014 Application Form is 10 July, 2014.
