How to Download the HPCET 2027 Answer Key
- Go to the HPTU website (himtu.ac.in) after your exam.
- Open the HPCET answer key notice for your course in the latest news or notice board.
- Download the PDF and match your booklet code or series with the key.
- Compare the key with the answers you marked; you may keep your question booklet after the exam.
HPTU’s brochure says the key is posted immediately after the exam. In 2026 aggregators reported it on 12 May, two days after the main paper.
How do you send a complaint about the HPCET answer key?
Send a written complaint with supporting documents or the solution for the question you dispute. It must reach the Controller of Examinations, HP Technical University, Hamirpur within two days of your exam, by 5:00 PM.

- Complaints after the deadline are not considered.
How is a wrong question in the HPCET key handled?
After checking complaints, HPTU applies fixed rules to any question found faulty.
- More than one correct option: marks go to those who marked any of the correct options.
- All options correct: marks go to everyone who attempted the question.
- No correct option, or a wrong or dropped question: every candidate who appeared gets the marks, attempted or not.
How do you calculate your HPCET score?
Add the marks for correct answers and subtract the penalty for wrong ones; unanswered questions score zero.

In the B.Tech and B.Pharmacy paper only the first 30 answers in each Section B count, so leave extra questions blank. To qualify for B.Tech, B.Pharmacy, MBA or MCA you need at least 40 marks (30 for reserved categories); see the HPCET result page.
