Karnataka NEET Counselling 2026 is conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) for MBBS and BDS admission in Karnataka for the academic session 2026-27. Students who have qualified NEET UG and are domicile of Karnataka can apply for state quota seats. There are over 10,000 MBBS seats across government and private medical colleges in Karnataka. What is Karnataka NEET Counselling?

Karnataka NEET Counselling 2026 is the centralised seat allotment process for MBBS and BDS admissions under the 85% state quota in Karnataka. It is conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Candidates who qualify NEET UG 2026 and hold a valid Karnataka domicile can register. Separately, candidates may also participate in MCC counselling for All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Karnataka has one of the largest private MBBS seat matrices in India.

Karnataka NEET Counselling 2026 – Eligibility Criteria

  • NEET UG Qualification: Must have qualified NEET UG 2026.
  • Karnataka Domicile: Karnataka domicile certificate is required for 85% state quota seats.
  • HK Region Reservation: 8% seats are reserved for candidates from Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) region with separate cutoffs under Article 371J.
  • Age: At least 17 years old as on December 31, 2026.
  • Academic Qualification: Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with minimum 50% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC).

Karnataka NEET Counselling 2026 – Rounds

  • Round 1: First seat allotment. Allotted candidates must report and confirm admission.
  • Round 2: For seats remaining vacant after Round 1.
  • Mop-Up Round: For remaining unfilled seats.
  • Stray Vacancy Round: Final college-level round.

Karnataka NEET Application Form 2026

  • Candidates must register on kea.kar.nic.in. The NEET UG 2026 roll number (from your NEET Admit Card) and Karnataka domicile details are required.
  • After registration, a state merit list is released. Eligible candidates fill and lock their college choices before the deadline.
  • Candidates must verify academic certificates, NEET scorecard, domicile, and reservation proofs before seat allotment.

    what is the procedure of kea neet counselling foe non-local andhra candidates.somme ofthe unreserved candidates are getting seats for AIR 40000 and some are not getting for AIR 46000. as there is mo reservation in private seats then why are this fluctuations.
