PU LLB 2026 (PU-LL.B. 3 Years Entrance Test)

PU LLB 2026 is the official admission test for the 3-year LLB programme at the Department of Laws, Panjab University Chandigarh and affiliated regional centres. The Department of Laws, Panjab University is one of the oldest and most reputed law departments in North India with strong Bar Council of India (BCI) recognition. Qualifying candidates are admitted through a centralised counselling process based on merit, college preference and category-wise reservation. The 3-year LLB programme prepares candidates for litigation, judiciary, corporate law, civil services and academia. The full official name of the exam is PU-LL.B. (3 Years) Entrance Test.

Application Form

The PU LLB 2026 application form is available online at pglaw.puchd.ac.in. Candidates must first register to generate a Login ID and Password, then fill personal and academic details, upload photograph and signature, and pay the application fee online. The last date to register for Login ID is 13 June 2026 and fee deposit deadline is 15 June 2026. SC/ST/PwD/PU Employee candidates claiming fee concession must submit the form by post or hand by 19 June 2026.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must satisfy academic criteria before applying. Failure to meet any condition leads to disqualification at any stage.

  • Qualifying Exam: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) from a recognised university with at least the minimum aggregate marks prescribed.
  • Minimum Marks: Typically 50% aggregate in graduation (45% for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD candidates per Panjab University norms).
  • Discipline: Any discipline — Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, Pharmacy and others.
  • Appearing Candidates: Final-year graduation candidates can apply provisionally, subject to producing the degree at admission.

Panjab University releases the admit card at pglaw.puchd.ac.in. There will be no physical communication — download is by login only. Admit card for the 2026 exam is available from 23 June 2026. Answer Key and Result

Panjab University releases the provisional answer key at exams.puchd.ac.in on the same day as the exam (28 June 2026). Objections may be submitted to [email protected] by 30 June 2026. Cross-objections are invited after 6 July 2026. The tentative result date is 15 July 2026 and will be available at pglaw.puchd.ac.in and results.puchd.ac.in.
