The application releases in online mode only, no offline application is accepted. The application fee is to be paid through the debit card, credit, or net banking (Online Mode) etc. The dates are given in the table below:

After checking the eligibility criteria, candidates can fill the application form. it is necessary to pay the registration fee of the examination. While filling the application form. The category wise application fee is given in the below table. Candidates can see the application details from the below:

Note: The fee is non-refundable, any bank or payment gateway service charges must be borne by the applicant.
Mode of Payment: Only online Payment mode is available (includes internet-banking, Debit Card, Visa/Master Credit Card Payments).

Candidates can check the eligibility criteria from the below:
- Candidates possessing a minimum of second class or equivalent in a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field of Engineering / Technology and Master’s degree in Science, Physical Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Geology, Instrumentation, Electronics or Master’s in Computer Application.
- The GATE score should be valid as on 01 August 2020. Candidates with a valid GATE 2019/ 2020 score are eligible to apply.
- NET JRF includes – Joint CSIR-UGC NET for JRF; UGC-NET for JRF; DBT JRF; ICMR JRF; JEST; NBHM Screening Test 2020; INSPIRE fellow
IISc PG and Ph.D. Application Form 2021 Selection Procedure
The selection procedure of the candidates will be done through various factors but the last selection will be based on the performance in the final interview. Short-listing will be based either on performance in national entrance tests or on the academic performance in the qualifying degree examination which is mentioned above. The final selection will be based on the performance in an interview (in some of the departments, a written test will precede the interview as per their choice). After that the selected candidates will be offered admission in the institute and have to report at the institute as per the given date and schedule.
