B.Tech Admission 2017 – 2018 on the basis of JEE Main
Candidates may please note that JOSAA 2017 will be the centralized counselling for NITs, IIITs, GFTIs, IITs. However there are a large number of colleges in every state that are also offering Engineering Admission on the basis of JEE 2017 All India Rank. To get admission in one of these colleges, candidates have to apply for them separately. Most of the colleges have started application form submission. JEE Main Eligibility
JEE Main Eligibility Criteria is laid down by CBSE. Eligibility criteria for JEE Mains specifies class 12 marks, age limit of applicant, and maximum number of attempts. Moreover subject combination in qualifying examination is specified.

JEE Main 2018 Exam Pattern
- JEE Mains Paper 1 is for BE / B.Tech.
- JEE Mains Paper 2 is for B.Arch. B.Planning.
Paper 1 has the objective type questions with equal weightage to Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics.
Paper 2 has objective type questions for Mathematics (Part I) and Aptitude Test (Part II). Questions to test drawing aptitude are asked for Drawing Test (Part III)

JEE Main 2018 Result
CBSE will announce the JEE Main 2018 Result and All India Rank online. It is announced for the Paper 1 first. Then, the AIR of JEE Mains 2018 Paper 2 will be disclosed. It is disclosed through cbseresults.nic.in. To check the result, candidates will need their Roll Number and Date of Birth.
JEE Main 2018 Cut Off
JEE Main 2018 Cut Off usually mean the minimum marks required in JEE Mains exam to get admission in one the colleges. JEE Main 2018 Cut Off To Be Eligible for JEE Advanced 2018
Candidates must be in top 2,20,000 including all categories as per JEE Main 2018 result scores and also have obtained positive marks in Paper 1 of JEE Mains 2018 so as to be eligible for JEE Advanced 2018. Number of top candidates for each category will be as indicated in below table.
JEE Main Counselling
JEE Main Counselling for admission/seat allotment is done by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority. Candidates who have appeared either only in JEE or both JEE Mains and JEE Advanced can participate in counselling to get admission through counselling and seat allotment process.
- JoSAA will be for admission to Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), National Institute of Technology (NIT), Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Government Funded Technical Institute (GFTI).
- Candidates can register for JoSAA as per schedule and select preferences for colleges and branches.
- Seat allotment will be on the basis of All India Rank, preferences of seats, and seat availability.
- On getting a seat allotted, candidate can either chose to confirm it or try next available option. There will be a limited rounds of seat allotment for the colleges.
