The B.Tech admission through JEE Main refers to the process of counselling and admission in engineering colleges. While the NITs, IITs, IIITs, CFTIs offer admission through JoSAA counselling. Some universities and colleges do admission through state level counselling. The states that are participating in JEE Main only offer admission on the basis of JEE marks. Engineering Admission in India
JEE Main is the national level engineering entrance exam in India. And every year, lakhs of students appear in it. And those who get the minimum qualifying marks in it for the IIT entrance exam, also appear in JEE Advanced.
However simply taking the entrance exam is not enough. You need to participate in the JEE Main counselling process also in order to finally get admission in the engineering college of your choice. This is where B.Tech Admission through JEE Main begins.
The JoSAA counselling is the national level counselling for B.Tech admission through JEE Main and Advanced. However it is only for NITs, IITs, IIITs, and some CFTIs. So if you want to get admission in any other college, then you have to participate in the engineering admission / JEE Main counselling / B.Tech admission process of that college or state.
