Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) 2015GCET 2018 is a state level entrance exam organised by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa. Goa CET 2018 is looked forward to be conducted for admission in Engineering (B.E.), Pharmacy (B. PHARM. ), Architecture (B.ARCH), Homeopathy (B.H.M.S), Ayurveda (B.A.M.S.) and Allied Health Sciences (B.P.T., B.O.T., B.Opt., B.Sc.M.I.T., B.Sc.A.T.) B.Sc. in Nursing.

Application Form of Goa CET 2018 / GCET 2018 can be submitted to appear in exam. Candidates who have already passed/have appeared, or are appearing at HSSC (Std. XII th Science) or equivalent examination, before the start of the academic session, are eligible to appear at GCET. However, admission to MBBS will be based on the NEET (as per supreme court order) and admission to B.Arch course will be done on the basis of score obtained in NATA exam. The prospectus shall be uploaded on the website soon at dtegoa.gov.in.

Goa CET 2018 Important dates

As of now, the expected dates have been mentioned below. According to past year information, we have gathered a set of dates by which the admission process might start. The applications may begin from 01st week of April 2018. It must be submitted by visiting the admission reception centre. Candidates will have to fill up the form latest by expected dates 04th week of April 2018. The possible dates for conducting the exam may be somewhere in 02nd week of May 2017.

Goa CET 2018 Eligibility

(i) Nationality- candidature s open to all indian nationals

(ii) Age- minimum age requirement is 17 years on or before 31st december

(iii) Education qualification for MBBS/BDS Course- candidate must have passed HSSCE exam from a recognised institution with minimum 50% for General and 40% for SC/ST/PH and 45% for PH in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology for admission to MBBS, BDS, BHMS, BAMS & AHS.

(iv) Education qualification For B.Sc. in Nursing- candidate must have cleared HSSC with 45% for General and 40% for SC/ST in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English, subjects.

Goa CET 2018 Exam pattern

Each paper will comprise of 75 questions all of which must be answered in 2 hours. Each question will have 4 choices for answers, out of which only one shall be correct. Correct answer shall carry one mark for each question. There will be no negative marking for wrong/multiple answers.


The question paper will incorporate questions from subjects taught by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim, for Standard XII th (Science) examination. It may include topics from the following subjects:- Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Goa CET 2018 Application form

The application form might be asked for submission in offline mode. The same will be attached in the brochure when the official notification is released. Candidates will fill up the particulars and submit the form at notified locations as per Centre opted. You must follow the timeline and dates as specified. Candidate will also enclose application fee payable via demand draft. You will also need to submit 3 identical photographs and self-attest required certificates. Late fee will be charged if the application form is submitted after the prescribed date. Incomplete form shall be rejected.

Applicants are advised to submit the application form by themselves. Please ensure that the validity of the Demand Draft is at least 3 months from the date of issue.

Application fee

Last year, the candidates were supposed to pay Rs. 1800/- as application charges via demand draft drawn in favour of “Director of Technical Education” at Panaji – Goa, on any Scheduled Bank.

Goa CET 2018 Admit Card

According to last year’s brochure, the candidates wishing to obtain their admit Card were required to ascertain from the Admission Committee. Admit cards will be issued only to candidates who appear in person at the admission committee.

Test centres

Admission committee shall allot the candidate their test centre along with the code. You must carefully note down the code. The cities assigned last year were as following:- Tiswadi Cujira(Bambolim), Panaji, Verna, Navelim, Vasco, Mapusa, Ponda-1, Ponda(Farmagudi), Bicholim, Curchorem, Porvorim, Assagao, Sanquelim, Cuncolim and Dharbandora.

No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after 30 minutes of the examination.

Goa CET 2018 Result declaration

Results will be available on Notice Board at DTE. No candidate will receive any individual score card. Any change in schedule will be notified via designated newspapers. No correspondence with regard to revaluation and retotalling is to be requested.

Merit list

DTE shall first publish the Provisional merit lists of all professional courses and categories. The merit list will be published on the Notice Board at the Admission Centre of Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, Goa. Admission merit list will be made available category wise as follows:-

  • Medicine and Dentistry
  • Homeopathy
  • Ayurveda
  • Allied Health Sciences and Nursing
  • Engineering for all eligible candidates
  • Pharmacy for all eligible candidates
  • Architecture for all eligible candidates

Check your marks and report the matter within 24 hours if any error is detected. You can report the matter in written and submit it to Admission Committee Chairman

  1. The fee amount mentioned in GCET 2017 notification is 1500. But in the downloaded instruction page of the form its mentioned as 1800. Which one is the correct figure? How much is the student supposed to pay. please rectify the numbers.
