DTE had uploaded the prospectus with the application form on the official website of Goa CET i.e., dte.goa.gov.in. Goa CET 2020 is a state-level entrance examination conducted for various professional degree courses like UG engineering and pharmacy admissions. Candidates who have passed 12th examination from Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination with 45% of marks are eligible to appear in the offline entrance test. GCET 2020 Application Form – Last Date to Apply
Online applications were available until June 10, 2020. Late applicants can submit GCET 2020 application form at CAD section, DTE, Porvorim until June 26, 2020. A fee of Rs 3500 (including late fee of Rs 1500) has to be paid by such applicants. Check the official notice below.

Goa CET 2020 Admit Card
GCET 2020 admit card is issued after the successful submission of the application form at the designated centres of DTE Goa. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website. In case of any discrepancies in the admit card, candidates are required to immediately contact the exam conducting authorities Candidates must also note that GCET 2020 admit card is a mandatory document that is required to carry on the exam day.
Goa CET 2020 Application Form
Candidate can submit GCET 2020 application form only through offline mode accepted by DTE. Given below are the simple steps to fill the application form:
Step 1: Candidate has to download and take a printout to fill the application form.
Step 2: Secondly, the candidate has to fill the application form with all required details moreover, candidates have to fill it with their own handwriting no online application form will be accepted.
Step 3: After filling all the necessary details candidates must also affix a recent passport size photograph on the given slot and three more passport size photographs.
Step 4: The application form should be submitted at notified locations as per Centre opted, on specified dates along with the prescribed fee.
The application fee for all categories is Rs. 2000/- and the late fees is Rs. 1500/-
Mode of Payment
The application fees will be accepted in the form of demand draft.
Goa CET 2020 Eligibility
Nationality: Indian Candidates can apply. Non-resident Indians holding Indian passport may apply for seats reserved under NRI category. Overseas Citizens of India (OPI) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) can also apply under this category.
Age: No age limit, minimum or maximum, is specified for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy Courses.
Education Qualification: Candidates who have passed/appearing 12th board or any equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science /Biology, and secured not less than 45% (for general) marks in the aggregate of subjects of Physics & Mathematics with one of the following subjects Chemistry/Bio-Technology/Computer Science/Biology for general and 40% (for reserved categories) are eligible to apply for the examination.
Candidates who have passed 12th board with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (45% for SC, ST, OBC& PwD) or passed 10+ 3 Diploma Examination with Mathematics as compulsory subject with at least 50%(45% for SC, ST, OBC& PwD) marks in aggregate and have a valid score in NATA 2020 shall be admitted to Architecture course.
Goa CET 2020 Syllabus
GCET 2020 shall be based on the syllabus prescribed by the Goa Board of Secondary & Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim. It will be comprised of 3 subject Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of class 12th. The detailed syllabus is given below:
Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Magnetic Effects of Current and Magnetism, Electromagnetic Induction and Alternating Currents, Electromagnetic Waves, Optics, Dual Nature of Matter and Radiation, Atoms and Nuclei, Electronic Devices, Communication Systems.
Solid State, Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Surface Chemistry, General Principle and process of Isolation of Elements, P-Block Elements, d and f Block Elements, Coordination Compounds, Haloalkanes and Haloarenes, Alcohols, Phenols and Ethers, Aldehydes, Ketones and Carboxylic Acids, Organic Compounds Containing Nitrogen, Biomolecules, Polymers, Chemistry in Everyday Life.
Relations and Functions, Algebra, Calculus, Vectors and three-dimensional Geometry, Linear programming, Probability.
Goa CET 2020 Exam Pattern
Candidates can follow to the below exam pattern for GCET 2020 for better preparations:
- Mode of examination: Offline (Pen-paper based)
- Duration of Examination: 2 hours
- Medium of Examination: English
- Types of Questions: Multiple Choice Question (MCQ)
- No. of Questions: Each paper will have 75 questions
- Maximum Marks: 225

How To Prepare for Goa CET 2020
The candidates can check the tips below that would help them to crack the examination:
- Plan your preparation strategy as per the syllabus.
- Divide the topics into two halves. In the first half note down the topic in which you are good at and in the second part note down the topics which you need to focus more on. Start your preparation by preparing those topics first which you find difficult.
- Candidates can make a suitable time table for the preparation for the exam.
- Clear your concepts by following NCERT and other preparation books
- Be consistent and try to finish one topic each day
- Practice at least one mock test paper every day to enhance your speed and accuracy level
- Try to remain healthy and sleep for at least 7 hours

Goa CET 2020 Answer Key
GCET 2020 Answer Key will available for download. It will be released by DTE Goa online at its official website. The purpose of the Goa CET 2020 Answer Key is to predict the marks and estimate the results. It is released for sets A, B, C and D for subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Using the marking scheme and answer key students candidates can find the correct responses and calculate their probable scores in GCET 2020.
Goa CET Result 2020
Goa CET 2020 Result will be announced online at DTE Goa official website. No individual scorecard shall is issued to the candidates. Furthermore, no correspondence with regard to revaluation and re-totalling is accepted.
The Provisional merit lists of all professional courses and categories will be displayed on the Notice Board at the Admission Centre at Directorate of Technical Education, Porvorim, Goa as per the time and date mentioned in the schedule of Admission and also will be made available on the website. All applicants should verify the correctness of their marks & merit position in the provisional merit list. In case of any detected errors, they should immediately (within 24 hours) inform the Chairman, Admission Committee, in writing, failing which, the Admission Committee shall not be held responsible for the consequences of such errors.
