Note: The candidates were advised to make correction in their Category in their Online Application Form (General, OBC-NCL, SC, ST and EWS) as per their actual Category very carefully as no further chance for correction was to be given. JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Cut Off

For qualifying JEE Main Paper 2, there is no cut off required as JEE Advanced 2019 is only conducted for paper 1 candidates. However, the opening and closing rank is released by the counselling authorities at the time of JEE Main Paper 2 counseling. How is JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result Prepared?

This was the first time that JEE Main was conducted twice a year – January and April in two shifts. For the January session, NTA released the raw marks obtained by the candidate. However, for the April exam. the result for JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 is prepared by merging the April as well as January score obtained by the candidate. Result for both the session is compiled and an overall merit list/ Ranking is prepared.

Note: For the candidates who appeared in both the attempts, i..e January and April, the best of the two NTA scores are considered for further processing.

JEE Main Paper 2 Result 2019 for Both the attempts (January & April) – The result of JEE Main Paper 2 carry total normalized NTA scores obtained by the candidate in the first and second attempt along with All India Rank (AIR) and All India Category Rank.

JEE Main Paper 2 Result 2019 for either of the attempts (January or April) – The scorecard of JEE Main Paper 2 will consist of the NTA scores obtained in each subject and total NTA scores obtained by the candidate in that particular attempt.

Tie Breaker Criteria for JEE Main Paper 2 Result 2019

In case of two or more candidates obtain equal marks in Paper 2, in such a case, their tie is resolved by applying the following rules:

  1. Candidates obtaining a higher score in Mathematics are placed higher in the merit.
  2. If the tie is still not resolved, then, candidates obtaining higher scores in Aptitude Test are given first preference.
  3. If there is still a tie, thereafter, candidates who obtain higher scores in Drawing Test are taken into consideration
  4. If the above also does not resolve the tie, then the age of the candidate is taken into consideration. Candidate older in age is given preference over the younger candidate.
  5. If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, candidates are assigned the same rank.

Revaluation of JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result

As per the information in the JEE Main brochure, there is no provision for re-evaluation/ re-checking of the Score. The result as published by NTA is final and cannot be changed. Admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs on the Basis of JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Result

The admission in B.Arch and B.Planning courses will only be granted to those candidates, who:

  • Secure a suitable rank in JEE Main 2019 Paper 2.
  • Must have secured 75% in class 12 or would have been among the top 20 percentiles.
  • Should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics as a core subject.

If any of the criteria is not satisfied, the seat will not be allocated.

JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 Counselling

The counselling for Paper 2 is conducted along with Paper 1. Counselling for JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 is conducted by JoSAA/CSAB. Only those who fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria are eligible to participate in the JEE Main 2019 Counselling. In this process, candidates need to first register, after which they have to submit the choice for the course and the colleges. Once the choices are submitted, the data will be reconciled and seats will be allocated. The candidates are allotted seats on the basis of their performance in the entrance exam, choice submitted, and availability of seats.

  2. We have registered in JMI BARCH 2018
    Do we need to send our JEE paper 2 and gradex12 results/ score to JMI again.

    As in registration we ‘ve given the JEE paper 2 admit card number.

    And score of 186 in JEE paper 2 is how good to secure a seat for Barch under Muslim Girls Category
