KCET 2014 Application Form

The detailed instructions regarding KCET 2014 application form filling, submission, documents needed, and how to obtain the form are given here.

Applications are invited from eligible candidates of Karnataka including the wards of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants for registration to the Common Entrance Test 2014 to professional Courses.


The application form which is common to all the candidates for admission to professional courses through KEA is kept in the KCET 2014 brochure. The candidates should fill the application form legibly using a BLUE or BLACK INK BALL POINT PEN in capital letters only. Before filling the original application form, the candidates are adsised to take two or three photocopies of the original application form and practice on them in the prescribed manner.

The application form is a combination of both ICR and OMR concept. Candidates are required to fill the application form using blue or black ballpoint pen and also for few items candidates are required to fill and shade the respective circles of item. For the benefit of the candidates, item-wise instructions are given against each item regarding writing the item and writing and shading the items. Wherever CODES are given. fill the boxes in the application form with the appropriate codes only:


  • The filled application form submitted by the candidates will be scanned as it is. The details in the application form will be the candidate’s data for all further processing in the KEA computers. Therefore. the candidates are advised not to make any stray marks on the application form and not to enclose any documents / papers in support of their claims to the filled application Form.
  • All the items given in the KCET-2o14 application form should be filled by the candidates invariably. No item should be left blank and incomplete applications will be rejected. At the time of submitting the filled application no documents needs to be enclosed.
  • The information furnished in the CET-2ol4 application form with regard to Caste I Category and Annual Income remains the same for the purpose of assignment of ranks I selection of a seat and no change will be entertained in future for any reason. The students should produce the Caste Category and Income Certificate Without fail during the verification of original documents at the Helpline Centres.
  • Write all the details in the space provided in the application form without fail. if any item is found not applicable then such items should be filled as NA in the box provided. For any reason no item should be left blank. If any unfilled item is found during scanning such application will be rejected without assigning any reasons.

Details of Payment made: Please enter Challan number. Date of payment and amount paid in the space provided in the application form. Shade 1 in amount paid in Central Bank of India. 2 for State Bank of Mysore and 3 for Indian Bank (this is applicable only for the candidates those who have paid the application fee through Bank Challan).


Within Karnataka:

Brochure cum Application Form will be supplied through the schools / colleges located within Karnataka where the students are pursuing 2nd PUG or 12th standard. The students have to first download the Chalan from KEA the link given below by entering the name, date of birth, category and the name of the bank (State Bank of Mysore, Indian Bank, Central Bank of India). Then the students have to pay the requisite fee in any of the respective bank branches. The bank will retain a copy of the Challan (Bank copy) and handover the remaining two copies of the Chalan to the students. Further, students have to handover the Chalan (KEA copy) to the concerned School / College Principal to obtain the brochure.

Cost of the Brochure is Rs. 650/- (Rs. 500/- for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Category-I) The repeater and ex-students who have passed the qualifying examination within the State of Kamataka before 2014 should also download the Chalan, pay the fees in the bank for the above said amount and submit the copy of the Challan to the respective schools / colleges to obtain the brochure cum application form.

Last Date to pay the fees in the bank after downloading the Chalan and for submission of KEA chalan copy to the colleges is 17-03-2014.

For Outside Karnataka:

The Karnataka candidates residing outside Karnataka (Horanadu, Gadinadu and other Karnataka candidates i.e., who fulfils the eligibility conditions) who are studying or who have studied 12th standard or equivalent examination outside the State of Karnataka, within the territory of India, can procure the brochure cum application form by “SPEED POST”, by sending a self-addressed cloth-lined envelope of size 25 cm x 30 cm along with a Demand Draft for Rs. 750 drawn in favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore”, payable at Bangalore.

Karnataka candidate residing outside India can get the brochure cum application form by sending a demand draft for Rs. 5,000/.

The contents on the self-addressed envelope should be in English or Kannada language only. The cover in which the demand draft and self-addressed envelope are sent should be boldly super scribed with the words “REQUEST FOR CET- 2014 BROCHURE” and should be sent to the following address of Executive Director by “Speed Post ONLY.

The KEA will not take responsibility for the envelopes sent through courier or given in person or through any other private arrangement and also for incomplete and insufficient address on the envelope. The last date for submission of Demand Drafts by “Speed Posr to KEA is 17-03-2014. Brochure cum Application will be supplied on or after 22-03-2014 to the respective school / colleges or to the address furnished by candidates.

Candidates are advised to verify and confirm that they are fulfilling any one of the Eligibility Clauses updated on the KEAWebsite http://kea.kar.nicin and also in the brochure before applying for admission to Government seats in Professional Colleges in the state of Karnataka for the year 2014. For any reason the fee paid by the candidates will not be refunded.


The information / particulars furnished by the candidates in their CET -2014 application form is FINAL. The information furnished in the CET-2014 application form with regard to Caste / Category and Annual Income remains the same for the purpose of assignment of ranks/ allotment of a seat and no change wil be entertained in future for any reason. While submitting the filled application form, do not enclose any paper/ certificate I marks card along with the filled application form.

Bank Branch Locator

The candidates who are studying 2nd PUC / 12th Standard examination in Karnataka were informed to download the bank Challan from KEA website and make the payment in the concerned bank branches. In case if State Bank of Mysore or Indian Bank or Central Bank is not located in that place, such candidates are here by informed to obtain Demand Draft drawn in-favour of “The Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority”, payable at Bangalore and submit the same to the concerned school / college to procure CET-2014 Brochure cum Application form. As already notified the Practical Examination for Agriculturist Quota will be held on 15-05-2014 at Bidar, Bagalkot, Dharwad, Shimoga, Bangalore and Raichur places.
