Steps to fill Online Application
- Register on application portal with your email address.
- After registration, check your email ID to verify the e-mail id and activate your registration.
- Log-in using your email ID and password
- Fill in the application form online. Please note that a partially filled application form will not be saved.
- After filling in the application form, click “Submit” and then on the next page, agree to the declaration and click on “Confirm Submission”.
- Preview your application and print it if you require.
- Go to the payment page, select the mode of payment and pay the application fee.

Offline Application Form
Obtain Prospectus from the University office or from the website of the University. Fill in the application form enclosed in the prospectus and post it to the University.
Download the application form from DBU’s website, fill it and post it to the University.

For Ph.D Programme, application form can only be filled online. For other programmes, one can either apply online/offline.
Application Fee
- UG and PG (Except MBA): Rs 600 (Rs 650 using DD if applying by post) to be paid through debit/credit card, netbanking or cash.
- MBA: Rs 1000 (Rs 1100 if the candidate has to appear for DBU-PGET) to be paid using DD or cash.
- Ph.D: Rs 1000 to be paid using credit card, debit card, netbanking or DD.
Don Bosco University Admission 2020 Eligibility Criteria

B.Tech
- Passed Higher Secondary School Leaving Examination (or equivalent) with 50% of the aggregate and 50% of the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. OR passed diploma with at least 50% marks.
- JEE(Mains), any State Entrance Test or the Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test
B.tech(lateral entry)
- 60% at 3 Year Diploma or 50% at BSc after 10+2 (with Maths as a subject).
BCA
- Passed Higher Secondary School Leaving Examination (or equivalent) in any stream with 50% in the aggregate. Those who have pursued Mathematics at Class XII will have an advantage.
- Candidates must appear for a personal interview

3. Take Admission
BTECH: Admissions will be given on a first-come-first-served basis into preferred branches (according to availability of seats) from the date the candidates fulfil eligibility criteria, i.e., have the result of the qualifying examination and a valid entrance test.
BCA, B.Com, BBA, BHHM, BA and B.Sc (Honours): Admissions will be given on a first-come-first-served basis to candidates who fulfil the eligibility criteria after the results of the qualifying examinations are declared.
At the time of admission, the candidates must be accompanied by their parent(s). The candidates must produce:
- Originals of marksheets and entrance test score cards (if applicable) for verification.
- Proof of date of birth
- Caste/Tribe/ Community certificate if applicable
- Student health form duly filled
- Anti-ragging form, duly filled and signed
4. Pay Fees
Candidates who are shortlisted for admission are to pay the admission fees (non-refundable) at any of the University Offices before 5:00 pm on the day of admission. If this is not done, the offer of admission will stand cancelled. The balance fees payable are to be paid within 7 days.
For Post-graduate courses

3. Take Admission
Candidates have to appear for an Entrance Test and Personal Interview that will be conducted on the same day. The process is expected to take about 6 hours. Admission will be given on the basis of past academic record and performance at the Entrance Test / Personal Interview.
At the time of admission, the candidates must produce
- Originals of marksheets for verification
- Proof of date of birth
- Caste/Tribe/ Community certificate if applicable
- Student health form duly filled
4. Fee Payment
Candidates who are shortlisted for admission are to pay the admission fees (non-refundable) at any of the University Offices before 5:00 pm on the day of admission. If this is not done, the offer of admission will stand cancelled. The balance fees payable are to be paid within 7 days
Doctoral Programme
Candidates are required to appear for a written test and/or an interview to be conducted by the Board of Research Studies of Assam Don Bosco University. Candidates shall be shortlisted for admission into the programme according to merit determined after giving suitable weightage to the following:
- marks/grades obtained in the Master’s Degree
- performance in the test and/or personal interview
The final list of candidates for admission shall be declared on the basis of the number of seats available and the performance of the candidates.

B.Tech (Regular)
- Those who do not appear for JEE or State Entrance Tests must appear for Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-GET).
- The DBU-GET for B.Tech will examine the candidates on their proficiency in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at the class XII level
- B.Tech Entrance Tests will be conducted at the Tapesia Campus, Azara Campus and at Don Bosco Youth Centre in Shillong
B.Tech (Lateral Entry)
- All candidates for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) must appear for Don Bosco University Graduate Entrance Test (DBU-GET).
- The DBU-GET for B.Tech (Lateral Entry) will examine the candidates on Mathematics, Computer Science, English Usage and the discipline into which they seek admission.
- B.Tech (Lateral Entry) Entrance Tests will be conducted only at Azara Campus, Assam Don Bosco University. It will be followed by personal interviews on the same day.
