The result of the entrance test has been released. After the announcement of the result, candidates will be called for counseling. Candidates whose names were visible on the merit list were eligible to attend the counselling. Candidates will get the admission to the university to pursue their desired programmes in veterinary science.

Online Application form of AAU Veterinary Entrance Test (VET) 2018 was available on the University’s official website. Interested candidates can fill the application form online at cld.aau.ac.in next year as the application process is over now. Candidates are advised to read details carefully before filling up the application form.
Candidates applying for Veterinary Entrance Test 2018 should follow the following steps:
A) Only online Application Form will be accepted for VET 2018. Registration will be opened with effect from April 28, 2018 and will close in the midnight of May 31, 2018.
B) During the registration process the student must have (i) a scanned passport size photograph(3 cm X 4 cm) and (ii) a scanned size signature (3 cm X 1cm) of the candidate both in jpeg format. The registration process cannot be completed without these scanned files.
C) After successful registration, a Registration ID will be issued to the applicant. The Registration ID should be used in all the correspondences in future. Registration will be completed only after successful uploading of the scanned photograph and signature.
D) Students will log in again with the Registration ID, Username and Password to view their personalized page.
E) Students will pay Rupees 1,100.00/‐ towards ‘Application and Test Fee’ through online payment gateway integrated with the Application Form.f) The admit card can be downloaded from June 08, 2018 onward.
A) Producing Admit Card is mandatory, failing which candidates shall be debarred from appearing in VET 2018.
B) The VET 2018 will be held in Biswanath Chariali, Guwahati and Jorhat only. Once opted for, no request for changing the Examination Center shall be entertained in any case.
C) The questions for the entrance examination will be of objective type based on 10+2 level (Science Stream).
D) The entrance examination shall be of two and a half hours duration and shall comprise of four parts, viz., Botany 50 Marks, Chemistry 50 marks, Physics 50 marks and Zoology 50 Marks. The question papers shall consist of 200 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each. For every incorrect answer, 0.25 mark will be deducted from the total marks secured.
E) Based on the performance in the Entrance Test, the Merit List(s) shall be published in the University’s website (www.aau.ac.in) on June 25, 2018.
F) Mere qualifying in the Entrance Examination shall not automatically make an applicant eligible for admission. The listed candidates in order of merit shall have to appear for counseling and interview for final selection for admission.
A) Application form for admission into all other degree programmes of the University will be available in the web from June 1, 2018 onwards.
B) Following the same procedures, the applicants can fill/update their information by logging in with their Registration ID, User Name and Password. Repeated updating of information is possible till the applicants finalize their information. Please note that the application cannot be accessed by the candidates once it is FINALIZED.
C) The applicants must update the data online on June 30, 2018 after the declaration of 10+2 results.
D) After finalization of the Application Form, the applicants can print the Confirmation Sheet.
E) The candidate has to submit the Confirmation Sheet and self‐attested copies of all relevant testimonials at the time of counseling, failure of which will result in cancellation of his/her candidature. The candidate must produce all the relevant testimonials in original during counseling.
(10+2) passed students from Science stream having the certificate of Permanent Residence of
Assam only should apply for the test. Those who are appearing in (10 + 2, science) are also eligible to
sit in the VET 2018, but they have to pass 10 + 2 exams before the date of admission. The wards of
defense/para‐military personnel posted in the State of Assam for at least one year are also eligible
to apply for VET 2018.
1. The candidate shall have to appear in Veterinary Entrance Test (VET) to be conducted by AAU on
the date & time notified (Sunday, June 17, at 10.00 AM )
2. Also, refer to the eligibility criteria mentioned in the extracts of the MSVE 2016.
3. The sponsored candidates from the foreign country under Bilateral/ Multilateral Agreement and
NRI/NRI Sponsored candidates shall, however, be exempted from appearing in the VET 2018
provided that they meet the minimum eligibility requirements in force.
The University makes provision for reservation of seats for eligible candidates belonging to the following categories. Candidates are to note that self‐certified copies of certificates mentioned against each of the categories must be submitted along with the Confirmation Sheet at the time of counseling. After applying through the online application form, candidates will get the admit card. The admit card will allow candidates to appear in the entrance test. Admit Card will be generated online by AAU in June 2018, a week before the entrance examination. If candidates would not carry the admit card to the exam center, they will not be permitted to give the examination. Admit card is the mandatory document without which candidates cannot appear for AAU VET 2018.
The VET 2018 was held in Guwahati, Jorhat and Biswanath Chariali only. Candidates can choose the exam center of their preference while filling AAU VET 2018 Application Form. Once opted for, no request for changing the Examination Centre shall be entertained in any case. Candidates are advised to carry their admit card and ID proof to exam. Any electronic devices is strictly prohibited in the examination hall.
Veterinary Entrance Test (VET) Pattern
The following exam pattern pertains to the scheme notified last year. This year’s exam pattern will be updated soon.
- Duration: 2 Hour
- No. of Question: 150 multiple choice questions of 1 mark each.
- Marking Scheme: Negative marking at the rate of 0.25. i.e. 1(one) mark for 4 (four) incorrect answers.
Subject wise allotment of Marks are as follows
