The North Maharashtra University is one of the upcoming universities in India, the university was established on 15th August 1990 under the Maharashtra University Act No. XXIX of 1989 as a teaching and affiliating University. The jurisdiction of North Maharashtra University is spread over three districts of North Maharashtra i.e. Jalgaon, Dhule, and Nandurbar. The University was awarded by 4 grade in the year 2001, B grade with 2.88 CGPA in the year 2009 and A Grade with 3.11 CGPA in 3rd Cycle re-accreditation in the year 2015 by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon commonly known as the North Maharashtra University. 220 affiliated colleges & 04 University recognized Research Institutes under the jurisdiction of University. Out of these, 1 college is recognized as College of Excellence and five colleges have been identified as College with Potential for Excellence and one college has been granted autonomous status by the UGC, New Delhi Board and Government of Maharashtra.

About NMU Ph.D. Entrance Test
North Maharashtra university conducts the Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) for the candidates willing to take admission into the Ph.D. programme. Interested candidates can apply through online mode from the university site. Usually, PET is conducted every year in the month of May and June. About seat allocation, out of total available seats, 50 % seats each will be allocated to the candidates who qualify the Entrance Test and 50 % seats for the candidates who are exempted from the Entrance TestThe examination comprises of two papers, the structure of the exam is given here, please check below:
Structure of the Entrance Test
There will be two papers i.e. Paper-I and Paper-II for the Entrance Test. The syllabi of Paper-I and Paper-II for various subjects covered under different Boards and Faculties are uploaded on the University website.
a) Paper – I : General Aptitude Test
This paper will have 50 questions (100 marks) with multiple choice covering logical reasoning, numerical ability, reasoning and language aptitude.
b) Paper – II : Subject Specific Test
Paper-II will be also of 50 questions (100 marks) with multiple choice objective questions covering relevant subjects in the faculty.
Each correct answer carries 2 marks for both Paper-I and Paper-II. There will be no negative marking system. The candidate who scores 50 % marks and above (45 % marks and above, in case of reserved category candidates) will be declared as pass. The candidate can appear for Paper-II of Entrance Examination, only if the candidate qualifies in Paper-I. The score of Paper – I will be valid for the next two attempts from the date of declaration of results to appear for Paper-II. The result of PET will be declared, after one week from the date of PET examination on the university website www.nmu.ac.in
North Maharashtra University offers admission in various undergraduate courses through NMU UGCET. Candidates willing to seek admission will have to undergo NMU UGCET. The entrance examination is conducted to take admission in B.B.A., B.M.S., B.M.S. (e-Commerce), B.C.A., and M.C.A. (Integrated), M.B.A. (Integrated) into the Affiliated Colleges/University Department. Interested candidates will have to fill the NMU UGCET Application form which will be available in online mode at nmu.ac.in

NMU UGCET Exam Pattern
Aspiring candidates should check the exam pattern and then start their preparation so, that aspirants will be familiar with the structure of the exam scheme. NMU UGCET is an offline examination where you have to attempt 50 Multiple choice questions in a given time i.e 90. minutes. Each question has 4 answers out which only is the correct one. For every correct answer, you will be rewarded with 2 Marks. There shall be no negative marking.
North Maharashtra University conducts PGCET for postgraduation courses, it is a university level entrance examination conducted for the candidates who are willing to pursue post-graduate courses like MMS Personal Management, MMS Computer Management. Candidates willing to take admission in these courses will have to undergo NMU PGCET. Candidates willing to take admission in the postgraduate courses are required to appear for the NMU PGCET.
PGCET Exam Pattern
It is advisable for the aspiring candidates to check the exam pattern and then start their preparation accordingly. It will be helpful for the aspirants as they will get familiar with the structure of the entrance test. Mode of the Exam is offline (pen paper-based test) in which candidates will have to mark their responses in the OMR sheet. NMU PGCET will be comprised of multiple choice based (MCQs) questions and the duration of the examination is 1 Hour 30 Minutes (90 minutes).
About NMU MA MCJ
North Maharashtra university conducts the NMU MA (MCJ) Entrance exam for those who willing to pursue Master’s in Mass Communication and Journalism from the North Maharashtra Universit. NMU is the conducting body and organize the MA MCJ course Common entrance test. Based on candidates performance in entrance examination merit list will be prepared, on the basis of the merit list, candidates will be called for the personal interview and group discussion round
NMU MA MCJ Examination Pattern
The pattern of examination can help the candidate get an idea and prepare accordingly for the same. The examination conducted will have a total of 4 topics that are listed below along with marks carried by each. (The total points are 100)
