B.A. (General) (3 yrs/ 6 semesters)
Candidates are required to have passed the H.S. Examination (10+2 or Old 11 class H.S.) in any stream (including Vocational) conducted by WBCHSE/ ISC/ CBSE or any other Board/ University recognised as equivalent. Candidates must have passed at least four subjects with English as Compulsory subject (excluding Environmental Studies/ Env. Sc. / Env. Ed).
B.Com. (General) (3 yrs./ 6 semesters)
Candidates are required to have assed the H.S. Examination (10+2 or Old 11 class H.S.) in Commerce or Science or Vocational stream conducted by WBCHSE/ ISC/ CBSE or any other Board/ University recognized as equivalent. Candidates must have passed at least four subjects with English as a Compulsory subject (excluding Environmental Studies/ Env. Sc. / Env. Ed).
M.A. (2 yrs./ 4 semesters): English, Bengali, Nepali, History, Philosophy, Political Science
Candidates must have B.A. (Hons.) degree in the respective subject OR candidates having B.A. (Pass/ General Course under 10+2+3 pattern / Old 11+3 pattern) are also eligible OR candidates with 2 years B.A. degree with 1 year Bridge Course, from any recognized university, are also eligible for the course.
M.Sc. (2yrs./ 4 semesters): Mathematics
Candidates are required to have B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Mathematics OR candidates can also have B.Sc. (Pass/General Course under 10+2+3 pattern / Old 11+3 pattern with Mathematics as one of the Elective subjects) OR candidates having 2 years B.Sc. degree with 1 year Bridge Course, from any recognized university are also eligible for admission to this course.
Note: All the candidates from the non-honors background are required to have studied the subject (chosen for M.A./ M.Sc. program) out of at least 300 marks/ 12 credits at the U.G. level.

North Bengal University Distance Education Scholarship
All those candidates who are from the Reserved Categories under the Backward Classes Welfare (West Bengal) shall get a scholarship for admission to the PG programs of North Bengal University Distance Education as per government rules. Students from AAY and BPL category can avail of a concession 50% of course fees after submitting the verified documents. All the candidates who are claiming for reservation through AAY and BPL category must submit their Caste Certificate issued by a Gazetted Officer (not below the rank of B.D.O) with a BPL ID No. against their name. Candidates must note that other documents like Ration Cards will not be accepted by the University.

About North Bengal University
The University of North Bengal is a state university in Raja Rammohanpur, Siliguri. It was established in the year 1962. University was established to fill growing manpower needs in the six North Bengal districts and the neighboring state of Sikkim.
