Nirma University B.Des Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria
The candidates seeking admission in the 1styear of Degree Programme leading to Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) shall have passed the HSC examination (10+2) or any other recognised examination considered as equivalent by Nirma University with minimum 50 % aggregate marks.

The candidates holding 10+3 Diploma approved by State Board of Technical Education or any other board/university as considered equivalent by Nirma University with minimum 50 % aggregate marks will also be considered as eligible.
Selection Process For B.Des Admission
The selection process of Admission to the Bachelor of Design Programme consists of the following stages:
- Entrance Examination:
UCEED 2021 –
Admissions to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at Nirma University, is done through the shared results of the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) score conducted by IIT Bombay, the organizing institute of the UCEED exam.
Students who have passed Class XII (or equivalent) in 2020, or appearing in 2021, in ANY STREAM (Science, Commerce, or Arts & Humanities) are eligible to appear for UCEED 2021.

B.NU-DET 2021 – Admission to the Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programmes at Nirma University, is done through the Design Entrance Test conducted by the Department of Design, Nirma University for the students who have not appeared in UCEED examination or those who would like to have an option of considering NU-DET score for final selection.
2. Situation Test and Personal Interview:
The applicants shortlisted by the Admissions Committee, on the basis of performance in the UCEED Test / NU-DET Test will be invited for a Situation Test & Personal Interview.
- 1.The Situation Test will evaluate the design aptitude of applicants with the objective of measuring their skills in 2D and 3D visualization, creativity, handling of materials, and dexterity.
- Personal Interviews of candidates will evaluate general awareness, aptitudes and interests, quality of responses to social and cultural issues, etc. Candidates ability to articulate their thoughts through creative work done by the student.
(This could include drawings, paintings, photographs, films/videos made by the student, craftwork, project work, models, written work such as articles, stories, essays, poems, etc. This may be presented to the Interview panel. Students should limit their portfolio to a maximum of 10 works in total. ) *Additionally, the applicant shall present the necessary original documents for verification. (Two sets of photocopies of original documents to be presented).

Nirma University Ph.D Admission 2021
Nirma University (NU) will release notification for the admission to the Ph.D. course for the academic year 2021. Interested candidates need to register online for Nirma University Ph.D. admission 2021. The applicants are required to appear for the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Institute of Management, Nirma University. However, the candidates who are UGC NET (including JRF)/ UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF) SLET / GATE / GPAT/Teacher Fellowship/M.Phil qualified are exempted from the Admission Test. Nirma University Ph.D Admission 2021 Application Form
Nirma University Application Form 2021 will available on the official website. It is important that the candidate ensure the eligibility before filling the application form otherwise his candidature might get cancelled. Candidates need to fill the Application Form online on the website or from the direct link which is provided on the “application form” page.
Nirma University Ph.D Admission 2021 Eligibility Criteria
A Master’s degree or a professional degree declared equivalent to the Master’s Degree by the corresponding Statutory Regulatory body with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent Grade “B” in the UGC 7 Point Scale. (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) or an equivalent degree from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by the Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions.
Candidates possessing a Degree considered equivalent to M.Phil. Degree of an Indian Institution, from a Foreign Educational Institution accredited by an Assessment and Accreditation Agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country for the purpose of assessing, accrediting or assuring quality and standards of educational institutions, shall be eligible for admission to Ph.D programme
Selection Process For Ph.D. Admission
The admission selection process consists of two stages:
- Entrance Test: The applicants are required to appear for the Entrance Test to be conducted by the Institute of Management, Nirma University. However, the candidates who are UGC-NET (Including JRF) UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF) SLET / GATE / GPAT/Teacher Fellowship/M.Phil qualified are exempted from the Admission Test.
The Admission Test will have Two Sections as given below:
- Research Methodology – 50% Weightage
- Subject specific – 50% Weightage
- Personal Interview: The candidates obtaining a minimum of 50% marks in the Admission Test will qualify for the Personal Interview.
The final selection for admission would be based on the candidate’s performance in the Admission Test and Personal Interview.- Entrance test: 70% Weightage
- Interview/ viva-voce: 30% Weightage
Nirma University Ph.D Admission 2021 Result
The result of the entrance test will be declared on the official website of the university. The list of candidates clearing the entrance test (50%) will be made on the basis of research methodology and subject-specific weightage. Those candidates who will qualify the entrance test are called for interview/viva – voice. The final result will be based on the 70% weightage of the entrance test and 30% weightage of the performance in the interview/ viva-voce.
