Nirma University, Ahmedabad was established as a statutory university in 2003 (amended in 2006) under a special act passed by the Gujarat Government. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has recognized Nirma University under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act.

Nirma University consists of Faculty of Technology, Faculty of Management, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Science, Faculty of Law & Faculty of Research and Doctoral Studies. Eligibility Criteria

A Master’s degree or equivalent degree recognized by Nirma University with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade. Candidates appearing in final examination can also apply provided they satisfy the eligibility criteria by June 30, 2017.

Selection Process

The admission selection process consists of two stages :

Entrance Test

The applicants are required to appear in the admission test to be conducted by the Institute of Management, Nirma University. [However NET/SLET/Teacher Fellowship/M.Phil qualified candidates are exempted from the Admission Test]. The test will be held on April 30, 2017 at 10.00 AM at following centres:
a. Ahmedabad
b. Coimbatore
d. Delhi
e. Jaipur
f. Indore
g. Pune

Note: The Institute reserves a right to drop or add any of the Test Centres.

The Entrance Test consists of the following four sections:

  1.  Quantitative Skills
  2.  Verbal Skills
  3.  Logic and Data Interpretation
  4.  Social and General Awareness

Each section comprises of 30 questions. Duration of the Test will be two hours. Negative marks will be assigned for wrong/incorrect answers. The Test will be objective type with multiple choice options.

Personal Interview

Candidates short-listed on the basis of their performance in the Entrance Test will be called for Personal Interviews.

The final selection for admission would be based on the candidate’s performance in the Entrance Test and Personal Interview. The personal interviews are normally held at the Institute in Ahmedabad.

The following weightage will be assigned to each component of the selection criteria:
Entrance Test: 35%
Personal Interview: 65%
