The Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER) Pune is a statutory body that has been constituted under Section 12 of Maharashtra Agricultural Universities (Krishi Vidyapeeth) Act 1983. In exercise of the powers conferred upon MCAER vide provision in the Proviso (g) of Sub-section 3 of Section 12 of the Act, common regulations for admissions to various degree programmes in State Agricultural Universities have been formulated.

ABOUT MHT-PG CET
MCAER PG CET is conducted by the Maharashtra Agricultural Universities Examination Board (MAUEB) which offers admission in several postgraduate agriculture programmes in State Agricultural Universities (SAUs) of Maharashtra. It offers various courses in M.Sc in Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, and many other courses as well. Candidates willing to seek admission in these courses have to undergo MCAER PG CET.
The question booklet will contain questions of objective nature along with answers in the form of 4 alternatives. There will not be any choice or option for questions, i.e. all questions have to be answered. There shall be no negative marking for wrong answers. candidates will be selected on the basis of the 70% of the weightage to the CET score and 30% to CGPA of the student
About MHT UG CET
Every year MHT CET is conducted for candidates who are recently 12th pass out and willing to take admission into the undergraduate course. Interested candidates who want to take admission in Maharashtra Agriculture University, have to fill an online application form and qualify the entrance exam. MHT Common entrance test is conducted for undergraduate programme so, The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
There will be no Negative Marking, however, the difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based. MHT UG CET will consist of 3 question papers of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ).
- Note: The candidate seeking admission to first year B.Sc. (Honours) (Agriculture) / B.Sc.(Honours) (Horticulture) / B.Sc. (Honours) (Community Science) / B. Tech. (Bio-Technology) degree courses it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for Paper II as well as in Paper I and/or Paper III.
- The candidate seeking admission to first year B.Tech. (Agriculture Engineering) / B.Tech.(Food Technology ) degree courses it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for both Paper I and Paper II.
- The candidate seeking admission to first year B.Sc. (Honours) (Forestry) degree course it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for both Paper II and Paper III.
