Mumbai University LLM Entrance Exam Result 2017 will be announced on the official website at mu.ac.in after the exam has been successfully conducted on 3rd June 2017. The Department of Law, University of Mumbai is going to conduct the All India LL.M. Entrance Examination for the admission into ( 2 Years) LL.M. Degree Course. To come to the number of applicants this year, as per data available, total 2,802 candidates have applied for the University of Mumbai (MU)’s entrance test for master of law (LLM) which will be held in 9 fix centres. Last year, around 1,957 applications were received.
The Department of Law, University of Mumbai was established in November 1959 and fulfills the purpose of imparting postgraduate legal education and promote legal research in the state.
The Mumbai University Law Department is the only centre in Mumbai that offers LLM. according to the notice, candidates will face a strong competition as there are only 600 seats available in the 1st year of the course across six specialisations namely— human rights, constitutional law, criminal law, environmental law, business law, and intellectual property rights.
The surge in applications has risen by 33% which could also have been possible as this year following a request by Student Law Council, the examination fees for the LLM entrance test has been reduced from Rs1,500/- to Rs 650/- There is also a discussion going on conducting the exam in Marathi as well to attract more applicants.

As of now there is no official notice regarding the MU LLM Entrance Result 2017. But we are sure that the result notice shall be put soon after 3rd June 2017. - The pdf file will open informing the seat number and name of the selected candidates.
- Check your status.
- Take print out of the page for future reference.
Rules of Admission
Candidates seeking LL.M. admission in the Department must qualify an entrance test that will be conducted in pen and paper mode. It is a mandatory process. Apart from that a candidate applying must also fulfill the eligibility conditions regarding his candidature. As per the notice only candidates possessing LL.B degree obtained from Mumbai University shall be considered for the seat. The students who have passed LL.B. degree from another university are required to submit a Provisional Statement of Eligibility Certificate to be obtained from Eligibility Section,Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Bhavan, Santacruz (E.), Vidyanagari, Mumbai – 400 098.
After appearing in the written aptitude test, aspirant must acquire the minimum percentage of marks in his qualifying examination which has been described as below:-

Last year the minimum marks to be obtained was 30 % for General and 20% for reserved category
Oral test after the written test
Candidates who get qualifying marks in the written aptitude test will be notified on the official website of their selection for the oral test. Report timely for the further process such as oral test and document verification. The document verification takes place on the same day. Once all the above stated formalities are completed, the university will declare the merit list which is prepared considering
(i) Marks in qualifying exam
(ii) Marks in LL.B degree
The final result notice shall carry the seat number and name of the selected candidates.
