For MBA Programmes:
The eligibility criterion for admission to MBA Program is Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in relevant discipline, with minimum 50% aggregate marks (45% in the case of SC/ST), or equivalent CGPA.
After the completion of the examination and evaluation of the answer sheets, the result will be announced. The provisional list of candidates for admission to will be released at the official website. Candidates can check the same from the link below.
Candidates must report online on the day of counselling. Failing to do so may result in cancellation of the seat. Candidates are advised to keep in touch with the official website for the dates and timings for counselling. Selection Process for NIFTEM B.Tech Programme
Admission will be done through JEE (Main) – 2019. Eligible candidates will fill the application form of JEE (Main) – 2019. Subsequently counselling will be done by JoSAA/CSAB-2019. All candidates are advised to refer to website of JEE (Main) – 2019 (www.jeemain.nic.in) and CSAB -2019/JoSAA-2019 website for further details.
Selection Process for NIFTEM M.Tech Programme
The Admission to M. Tech programme will be based on valid GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering) score. Merit list will be prepared based on valid GATE score only. The merit list will be displayed on the NIFTEM website. In case two candidates will have same GATE score then the bachelor degree marks will be considered for merit list for those candidates. After the admission of eligible GATE qualified candidates, the remaining seats, if any, will be filled by Non- GATE candidates. Non- GATE candidates would require to qualify the common entrance test to be conducted by NIFTEM at NIFTEM Campus Kundli. There will be no other centre for test. The Non-GATE applicants’ common entrance exam shall not be conducted, if all seats have been filled by GATE candidates. In that case, the claim for refund of application fee shall not be entertained.
Selection Process for NIFTEM MBA Programme
The selection procedure to MBA Programme is based on last two years’ valid score of CAT/MAT and an Internal-Test for Non-CAT/MAT category applicants (including those not shortlisted through CAT/MAT). The final selection of shortlisted candidates will be made on the basis of GD/PI, past academic performance, and work experience.
Selection Process for NIFTEM PhD Programme
Candidates will be admitted through PhD Research Entrance Test (RET) followed by interview. CSIR-UGC JRF or any other JRF holders shall be exempted from entrance test but need to appear in interview. RET to be organized by NIFTEM at NIFTEM campus, Kundli. As per entrance paper choice, the syllabus of the Entrance Test shall consist of 50% of research methodology and 50% shall be subject specific. Qualifying marks is 50%. Syllabus for the entrance exam will be uploaded later in NIFTEM website.
For Foreign Nationals admission:
Foreign Nationals can seek admission to various Degree Programmes under the following categories:
- Direct Applicants (Full Time Programme) – The Foreign students, who wish to join under Self-financed category, are required to submit their application to the Head, Admission Cell, NIFTEM. The institute’s decision after scrutinizing the applications will be communicated to the respective student/Embassy (with a copy to the student concerned). However, in case of students from restricted countries i.e. Pakistan, Afghanistan, China, Bangladesh & Sri Lanka, the application MUST be forwarded through their respective Embassy.
- ICCR Cultural Exchange Fellowship Programmes (Govt. Of India) – Candidates desirous of admission under this Fellowship Programme are required to apply through the Indian High Commission/Embassy as the case may be, in their respective Countries. They will send the application to ICCR, Government of India and then ICCR will forward the application/s to our Institute for consideration. In case the applicant is found suitable for admission, admission offer letter will be sent to him/her through Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), New Delhi. Candidates are not eligible for getting any financial assistance from the Institute. Candidates may visit ICCR website, http://www.iccrindia.net/students.html, for more information. Foreign Nationals seeking admission in any one of the aforesaid categories will have to satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria for admission to the programmes as prescribed by the Institute.
