NorthCap University, Gurgaon has started admission in various courses for the acedamic year 2018-19. University releases application form for the same in online and offline mode. Formerly called ITM University Gurgaon, The NorthCap University (NCU) rebranded itself on August 31, 2015 vide Haryana Government ordinance, followed by UGC, Govt.of India. The University imparts education in undergraduate and postgraduate courses in engineering, management, sciences and law.

Candidates are requested before filling the application form, they must ensure that have all the required / asked documents or not. They must scanned and take printout of that documents and duly upload at the time of filling the application form.
Application Form to take admission in various courses in Under graduate and Post graduate has been released by the NorthCap University, Gurgaon. Interested candidates can fill the application form in two modes either in online or in offline mode. Candidates must ensure their eligibility before filling the application form.
There are two ways students can apply:
(a) Online on University website www.ncuindia.edu :- Students can fill in the form online and pay the Application fee of Rs. 1000/- (Non refundable) online, and upload self-attested scanned copies of documents mentioned in the admission brochure. They will receive an email confirmation for their online application.
(b) Offline Application Forms :- Application forms downloaded from the University website should be filled and submitted by hand or by post and enclosing a bank draft of Rs. 1000/- application fee (Non refundable) in favour of The NorthCap University, Gurugram at the University Campus along with the documents mentioned in in the admission brochure. The applicant must not be more than 21 years of age as on December 31, 2018 for UG programs. The date of birth printed on the Class X mark sheet issued by CBSE or equivalent board shall be considered for determining the age of the candidate. In case of student(s) who may have passed their equivalent examination from an overseas board, the age mentioned on his/her passport shall be considered.
Note: For PG programmes, there is no age limit.
For B.Tech / B.Sc (Mathe / Physics): 10+2 (English Medium) examination conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education or equivalent examination from a recognized board in Science stream with an overall aggregate of minimum 60% in 10th and 12th. The applicant should have secured not less than 50% marks in Maths in 12th.
For M.Tech / M.Sc (Mathematics): Applicant must have obtained minimum 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent CGPA in relevant equivalent qualifying degree. Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th and 12th is compulsory.
For BBA / BA Economics / B.Com (Hons.): Minimum 60% in 10+2 best of four. Marks in English to be included in best of four. Minimum 50% marks in Mathematics/Accountancy for B.Com (Hons.). Minimum 50% marks in Mathematics/ Economics for BA Economics. Marks of Physical Education NOT to be included in computing Best of Four. Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th is also compulsory.
For MBA: Minimum 50% in Bachelors Degree. Minimum 50%ile score in CAT/CMAT/MAT/XAT/GMAT (September 2017 – May 2018 only). Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th and 12th is compulsory.
For BBA LLB: Minimum 60% Marks in Aggregate (10+2) and Minimum 50 Marks in English. Applicant must have written CLAT 2018/ AILET 2018/ LSAT 2018. Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th is also compulsory.
For LLM: Must have passed LL.B degree awarded by any University recognized by UGC and BCI. Minimum 60% aggregate in 10th and 12th is compulsory.
For P.hD in Science, Technology, Management, Law & English:
In Science, Technology: A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme under School of Engineering and Technology (SOET) of NCU must have obtained M.Tech. /M.Phil. /M.A. (English) degree with min. 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
M.Sc./ M.A (Maths) degree with min. 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent, with NET/GATE/JRF qualified or M.Sc./ M.A (Maths) with min. 67.5% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
B.Tech. degree from IITs with min. 67.5% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
In Management: A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme under School of Management (SOM) of NCU must have obtained Post – graduation in any branch of Engineering, Management, Economics, Commerce, Operations Research or other relevant disciplines subject to approval of Dean, School of Management with min. 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent.
A candidate seeking admission to the Ph.D. Programme under School of Law (SOL) of NCU must have obtained Master’s Degree in Law from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent.
Master’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with not less than 55% marks or its equivalent; provided that candidates with qualifications in social sciences, humanities and sciences may be admitted to the Programme if the research they wish to pursue interfaces with the discipline of law with a special focus on Public Policy or Law.
Judge of any State High Court in India with three years’ experience or Judge of Supreme Court of India.
For B.tech: 60% weightage will be given to JEE 2018 Main (Paper – I) and 40% weightage will be given to the aggregate marks in English, Maths, Physics and Chemistry secured in 10+2 or equivalent.
For B.Sc (Mathe / Physics) and MSc Maths: On merit as per eligibility criteria.
For M.Tech: 30% of the seats are reserved for GATE qualified applicants. For balance 70% seats , the selection criteria shall be based on merit as follows : 85% weightage will be given to marks in the qualifying examination at the UG level, and 15% weightage to the personal interview. Any unfilled seats from GATE applicants shall also be treated as unreserved.
For BBA / BA Economics / B.Com (Hons.):
Minimum 50% composite Merit score:-
- 10th score – 30%
- 12th score – 50%
- Personal Interview – 10%
- Essay Writing – 10%
Minimum 50% ‘Composite Merit Score’. ‘Composite Merit Score’ to be computed as follows:
- Academics (25%):

For P.hD: Admission for Ph.D. Programme will be done twice every year, normally during June and December.
(i) The candidate desiring to seek admission to PhD Programme at NCU shall apply for the same on a prescribed Application Form by a due date announced by NCU.
(ii) The applications will be scrutinized by the SDRC concerned. The SDRC will call an adequate number of eligible candidates for a written entrance test “NPET” (“NorthCap Ph.D. Entrance Test”). The selection will be done on the basis of: NPET marks, qualifying degree marks and interviews. The weightage of each component will be decided by each school before advertising for Ph. D. Programme.
a. The candidates, who do not have valid score in national tests like UGC / CSIR (JRF) examination / NET/SLET / GATE/ teacher fellowship holder or have not passed the M. Phil degree, will have to appear in Entrance NPET (Northcap Ph. D. Entrance Test). The weight – age of various components for admission will be NPET marks – 40%, qualifying degree marks – 40% and interview – 20%.
b. The candidates, who have valid score in the above national tests or have passed M. Phil degree, will have the following weight – age for admission: M. Phil / National level test score – 40%, Qualifying degree marks – 40% and interview – 20%. In case no score is given in any national test, the concerned School will decide the weight – ages as applicable.
(iii) The candidates whose selection is approved by the Dean (Academics) and Chairman BDR / VC will be admitted to the Ph D Programme after payment of prescribed fees. The annual fee is same for full – time and part – time candidate.

Caution Money: A sum of Rs 5,000/- to be charged from each student seeking admission to the University in the Academic Year 2018-19. The amount is interest free and will be refunded to the students at the time of withdrawal or at end of their programmes, whichever is earlier, after deduction of dues, if any,
Alumni Association Fee: A onetime Alumni Association fee of Rs. 1,000/- for all programmes is payable by all students.
Industry Employability Aptitude Test Fees: Industry Employability Aptitude Test fees of Rs. 1,200/- is payable for B.Tech & School of Management programmes only.
- Fee applicable in the year of admission shall be subject to year on year increase of 3% for the duration of the programme.
- The total fee for the year including hostel charges (if applicable) will be payable in two equal bi-annual installments (semester wise, in advance). Children/wards of NRI / International students shall pay the fee annually, in advance.
- Semester fee will not be accepted in parts and/or in installments.
- Fees can be paid by cash (subject to below), Demand Draft, Credit Card or Debit Card. All demand drafts shall be made favouring The NorthCap University, Gurugram and shall be payable at Gurugram/ Delhi.
- Unless otherwise provided by extant Govt. rules., a maximum of Rs 2 lakhs only shall be accepted in cash from a student during the entire duration of his/her Programme
- Taxes if applicable under subsequent Govt./GST rules will be extra.
