IIM Udaipur (IIM U) Selection Criteria for PGP 2018-20 Admission – IIM Udaipur has announced the selection criteria 2018 for admission through CAT 2017. MBA aspirants who seek admission in IIM Udaipur (IIM U) must first appear and qualify in CAT 2017 MBA entrance exam. On basis of eligibility criteria, candidates will be shortlisted for the personal appearance process. This stage consists of written analysis and personal interview. Candidates may please note that the personal appearance will be common for all six new IIMs namely Kashipur, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Tiruchirapally, and Udaipur.
IIM Udaipur (IIM U) Criteria for Short listing for PA (WA & PI) process for 2018 Admission Through CAT 2017
The first criteria to be met by eligible candidates is the CAT cut off score for IIM Udaipur. The cut-off percentile marks for eligibility to PA process in the three sections and the total CAT percentile for different categories of students are given below:
IIM Udaipur’s Admission Committee will decide the number of candidates who would be called for PA process on the basis of criteria prepared for each category. However, if the actual number of short-listed candidates were found to be less (more) than the required number of candidates to be called for WAT & PI category-wise, then the overall as well as section-wise minimum score would be reduced (increased) to get the desired number of candidates.
The 11 IIMs (IIM Amritsar, IIM Bodhgaya, IIM Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Trichy and IIM Udaipur) have decided to adopt a common admission process (CAP 2018 process) of WAT & PI to be coordinated this year by IIM Rohtak. The performance of the candidate in WAT & PI of CAP 2018 would be considered for preparing the merit list.
Merit List for IIM Udaipur Admission 2018
Criteria for Preparing the Merit List: The criteria for preparing the merit list will be as follows
- CAT Score*: 53 %
- Personal Appearance (WA & PI): 21%
- Profile: 24%
*CAT Score of the candidate divided by Maximum CAT Score among candidates who have applied to IIMU and attended WAT & PI. It is clarified that the CAT Score would be used and not the CAT Percentile.

b. Personal Appearance: IIM Udaipur will consider the following weights

- Personal Interview : 15%
Candidates who do not obtain certain minimum scores in the WAT & PI will not be considered for the merit list. The minimum scores will be decided by IIM Udaipur at its discretion.
c. Profile: The following will be the breakup of the 26% component for Profile.

- Work experience: 6 %
- Diversity : 10 %

Offer Acceptance Fee and Withdrawal
A candidate receiving admission offer from IIM Udaipur and accepting the offer within the stipulated date needs to send along with Offer Acceptance, an Offer Acceptance amount of Rs.50,000/-. If a candidate subsequently wishes to withdraw the offer within the withdrawal date specified by the Institute, Offer Acceptance Amount will be refunded after deducting Rs. 1,000 as processing charges. If a candidate applies for withdrawal after the date specified by the Institute, no refund will be admissible. If a candidate registers for the program, his/her Offer Acceptance Amount will be adjusted against Term I Fee. In the event of withdrawal from the Program after registration, NO refund of Offer Acceptance Amount & Term Fee will be made.
